    1. Yup. It was up a few days ago. But no harm in re-posting just in case someone missed it.

  1. This is getting to remind me of something in the past…
    Hmmm…
    Give me a second…
    OFF WITH THEY’RE HEADS.
Can’t quite think of the contraption that the citizens had for it.

      1. He checked off many of the right boxes: non-white, former city worker (ex-city bus driver), former city councillor, and former Prinz Dummkopf lackey (who hated the oil industry).

      2. Think!
Voting machines! Same as down south. Those machines, as I understand it are Canadian designed and produced.

        1. I know for a fact that one can’t spoil one’s ballot with those machines. I tried that many years ago and my ballot wouldn’t go through.

  2. Another city council composed of utter imbeciles who believe they know better. Off with their heads indeed. Fuckers. Useless fucking goat fuckers.

    1. What do you expect when the new mayor was a failed Prinz Dummkopf cabinet minister? In addition, my fellow residents of Ward Whatever-Indian-name-it-now-has is a commie soyboy.

Yeah, I’m thinking of moving out of Edmonton when I’m done settling my father’s estate.

  3. No, don’t go to city hall. In fact stay out of edmonton entirely.

Just block it in, let them live with their decision.

  4. Edmonton’s mayor Sohi is a librano hack former cab minister and buddy of the Bong. This is 100% politics at it’s worst.

    1. Sohi spent 1 1/2 years or so in jail in India accused of terrorism. He says he was innocent and we all believe him.

  5. Well, kiss Edmonton good bye.

Didn’t have much interest in driving up there, now have ZERO.

Might just have to burn it all down and start over….or just decorate all the lamp posts.

      1. The area around the University used to elect a Liberal or Communist. The rest were normal. Not so much anymore. The only ambition left in Edmonton is to be on the government teat.

        1. We have Don Getty to thank for much of that. It was during his tenure as premier that oil companies closed their regional offices in Edmonton and moved the employees to Calgary. Similarly, regional government offices in Calgary were re-located to Edmonton.

  6. This doesn’t surprise me in the least. Edmonton has zero built-in capacity to make these decisions, and simply imposes restrictions based on crap polls and focus groups. And of course, our gallant Boomers (of which I am one, and feel ashamed) have stated that the only reason they venture out is because of COVID passports which make them “feel safer.” Meanwhile, nobody’s apparently told them that we’ve known for months that the vaccinated are quite capable of getting COVID, incubating COVID, and spreading COVID to others — even if every non-vaxxed person on the planet magically disappeared tomorrow morning. Your vaunted passport does nothing to protect you from acquiring a case of COVID.

I’m embarrassed by my fellow Boomers. We’ve honestly bought into the idea that we deserve to live forever, and we don’t care who else gets hurt on the journey towards our selfish eternal life.

    1. At least you recognize that boomers are the problem here. The most selfish generation in history.

      1. Hey, Garth,
You don’t get to speak for all boomers.
I never bought into the idea of selfish eternal life, nor do I embrace safety culture.
As for you, james, selfishness spans generations.
And enough with the misuse of “selfish.”
It is not selfish to desire freedom from the selfish elites.

        1. Hey Boo.

I don’t need to speak for all Boomers — just most of ’em, since they’re the ones driving this frenzied desire to be absolutely safe from absolutely everything. I see and hear it everyday as a constant background drone, and I’m embarrassed and ashamed. Oh and BTW — it is “selfish” (and not a misuse of the term at all) for the average Boomer to demand that safetyism, and all it entails, be imposed on anyone who’s not willing to have it imposed on ’em.

You’re not the same? Good for you. Now all we need to do is change another three or four million Boomers in this country to be more like you.

      2. Jimmy, me boy, I’m a boomer and I’m one who earned his keep and I don’t owe anybody anything. Selfish? Not bleedin’ likely.

  7. Live close to Edmonton but try to spend as much money as possible locally. Yes, the prices can be somewhat higher but the trade-off to keep money in the local community is a good one. If Edmonton decides to go ahead with mandates, I will make sure to never spend there again and I know wouldn’t be the only one.

  8. Just another example as to why the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms mean absolutely nothing to these animals. Nuremberg II can’t come soon enough.

  9. Every single one of them are compromised. The kind of cleaning that is required in this house is unpleasant to think about. But yes…more trucks to Edmonton ! Also, fantasizing of Super Bowl truck blockade…

  10. Edmonton Council members are nearly all leftists, you know those who believe in “inclusiveness” and the Mayor is a Trudeau flunkie. (aka bus driver who thinks he’s a PHd in public health….. oh, and racism)

  11. They are trying to make health care decisions that are beyond their scope…..time to defund all the city hospitals, clinics, etc.

Perfectly within the provincial “government” rights.

    1. I told my MLA last summer, if Edmonchuk & Cowtown want mandates so bad, let ’em lock themselves down. Hell, put a wall up, if they want. The balance of the province chooses freedom. It won’t take long for the bastards to look over the fence & see how much the rest of us are enjoying ourselves.

‘Sides, like the proverbial Quebec joke, when I get my 3 wishes, first one will be to “fill up the wall”.

    2. Nope….won’t happen in Calgary. Council has already peaked their heads out of their burrow and quickly went back down into their warren.

  12. Pray for a big snowstorm. Maybe all the drivers/operators who work for the private snow removal contractors will call in sick with a temperature.

  13. Healthcare is a provincial responsibility, they have no legal authority to mandate squat. I am sick of those snivel servants acting like they rule us. I hope the normies give them an earful.

  14. I wonder if anyone related to Sooey is in the convoy or donated to it…or maybe they participated in a Wildcat strike on the Yellowhead about 20 years ago…

  15. There certainly is a Rat’s Nest of Communists in Edmonton, always has been, hence Notley.

    1. The socialist rot truly became apparent when it elected that useless commie Jan Reimer as mayor some 30 years ago. Lefties and feminists (did I just repeat myself?) all over the city rejoiced.

She was a complete disaster. The streets were in terrible shape because of her idea that “people are more important than potholes”. The result was that money that should have gone for road maintenance was diverted to welfare. (We’re still paying for that negligence.) Work on our rapid transit system was, from what I remember, delayed for much the same reason.

It came as no surprise that she was turfed after one term.

Personally, I preferred Edmonton when its mayors were crooks. Bill Hawrelak, please come back–all is forgiven.

  16. Ignore any city mandates. Certainly those regarding vax passports. The municipalities have no such authority.

    1. I’m sure that he’s not the only clergyman who’s like that. The church has been conspicuously absent in all of this. Why?

      1. Clergy glued to CBC, like the bulk of Canadians. Bishops are chosen, in great part, for their ability to get along and “play nicely with others”. Not a system that favours independent thinkers with backbone. A few clergy are awake, though. But very few.

        1. Odd that the church should urge, if not dictate, compliance with government policies.

Many of those same denominations, if not the same clergy, were, some 40 years ago, urging support for whichever communist revolutionary group happened to be popular in places such as South Africa and Central America. After all they had to “preach liberty to the captives”, claiming that the use of an AK-47 and an RPG was akin to baptizing new converts, conveniently finding an obscure passage in Scripture (out of context, of course) to support that view.

Now that their congregants are being oppressed by tyrannical governments, not one single peep. Are they afraid to stand up for Jesus, as the hymn urges us to do? Do they fear losing their tax status and must, therefore, render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s (which is also in Scripture)?

No kidding! These politicians are the sickos! Sorry Edmontonians, I’d move too, in your shoes. Hope Calgary’s mayor doesn’t get any ideas.
