How often have we heard this week that “90% of truckers are vaccinated”?

Often. Several times a day, repeated by journalists and politicians. That’s a disinformation campaign, a deliberate effort to seed “talking points” into the mainstream. Easy to remember, easy to repeat. And no one can fact check it because there is no data to check.

Currently (Our World In Data) the rate of full vaccination rests at just under 79% for all Canadians. Industry polls on vaccin mandates show opinions are nearly equally divided. It’s statistically improbable that truck drivers would be getting vaccinated at rates higher than the general population.

Until you understand how media and government work together to drive false narratives into the mainstream, you’ll have difficulty spotting these persuasion techniques: the little mind worms designed to change your thinking, change your behaviour. When you’re alert to the patterns, you’ll see them everywhere.

    Who’s to say the general public is really at the percentages THEY say it is.
    THEY lie about the inflation numbers, the vaxxed numbers, the dead and dying numbers and on and on.
    In short , THEY LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING.

The Convoy is threatening their real goal which is the “Vaccine Passport”. The Trudeau government has been monitoring location, meeting with acquaintances, durations of meetings, other people in the area and God knows what else of 33 million Canadians for the last 1.5 years. They know everything about the lives of every vaccine passport holder through their cell phones. The software has likely been perfected by now to include job, bank account info, political leanings and it goes on and on. Trudeau will likely give a little up to the truckers, but, will fight tooth and nail for the VaxPass. Everything he gives up, to get rid of the truckers, will be for naught as the Vaxpass is his ticket to ruling like a tyrant over Canadians forever.
        DO NOT LET TRUDEAU KEEP THE VAXPASSPORT. It is all he wants. The press bullshit and his childish ranting is all smoke and chaff and he will use it for a bargaining chip. But at least he is cornered and will show his true colors.

  2. I would not be surprised the vax rate of truckers as a group is lower than the national average. They generally work alone, are independent and not looking to get saved by government.
    I watch Mark from CanPoli on Rumble and he was talking to Liberal headquarters the other day and they said they’ll be lucky to see 10 trucks.

  3. I was in the industry most of my life
    Most truckers are very independent and their livelihood depends solely on how hard they work. Not the type to go running every time somebody tries to scare them. Every time the government comes near, they know it’s going to bring them a hassle, an empty promise, and just get in their way. I’d guess they are 50% , at most. I know of one small company that hauls into the states regularly, that only has one guy willing to get the shot. The rest are saying no, except with more colourful language!

We should not be even a little surprised and after all it has worked in the past. I think their thought process is everyone loads up and goes home Sunday. I told him of my thought in bed this morning (before coffee and SDA) that the conservative blogs I visit, of which SDA is top of the list, are like samizdat in the former Soviet Union.   17. We have approx 30,000 farms left in Saskatchewan, and they would be 90 % vaxxed, not even close, maybe 50 percent. Spoke to a salesmen that worked crop production, he said it was dead, not even close to past admittance.
    The more independent a person/ family are, the more you question the narrative at about the third week after flatten the curve.
    We can acquire rural vaxx data per region, whether we could trust it or not is another issue. What’s the vaxx rate at Sturgis bike rally ? We should demographic who are the people that won’t fall for this, the pure bloods will prevail and it’s the truckers right now.

  25. I have felt for a very long time that I have been on a crowded beach screaming about an incoming tsunami while everyone ignores me, beyond giving my funny looks and subtly moving away.

The truckers I know do not drive rigs all day listening to country and western music, rather a fair number listen to talk radio and are more informed of the current events than the so-called reporters that are push government edicts. Because these truckers listen to talk radio across the spectrum many are aware of the warning from specialists like McCullough, Malone, Bridle, Cahill, Steneff, Bossche, Cory, and a hundred others like them that have been on radio shows warning of the adverse effects of the injections. One of the adverse effects that have been mentioned numerous times is blood clotting. This warning has made an impression on these truckers who are sitting driving these rigs for hours at a time and are professionally prone to blood clots. The airline pilots have expressed concerns about having an accident from a clot induced occurrence, think about the concerns our truckers have driving a rig through a major artery in a large city and experiencing a blot clotting related instance.

    But that is not the point. The rally started with the ‘vax mandate’ slogan but it quickly morphed into a lightning rod for every grievance and every wrong headed move made by every government since March 2020.

    You can see it in the signage. It’s not just truckers, the people are pissed.

    The elites don’t get it at first and condescendingly tell the proles to go eat cake.

    The Canadian Trucking Alliance estimates that 85-90% of their members are vaccinated. Given the necessity of that for traffic both ways at the border, they are probably a bit closer to the data than “statistically improbable”.

    They are apparently against the vaccine mandates & the “truckers” protest.
