January 28, 2022: Reader Tips

We interrupt our originally scheduled Reader Tips to offer up something much more important, given the historic nature of what is going on in Canada right now.

Just when some of us had given up on most Canadians to even lift a finger to defend their rights and freedoms, it is beyond amazing to witness what is going on with the Truckers’ convoy. In celebration, we encourage you to listen to I Am Canadian, while watching more video of the convoy here, here, and here.

Russell Brand shares with the entire world how the DISGRACEFUL Canadian media are refusing to cover this incredible event in a fair and balanced manner, if at all.

One of the convoy organizers, Benjamin Dichter, talks with Tucker Carlson.

Your Canada-centric tips are especially appreciated!

Update: Even more amazing video! Keep in mind that every one of these people are the deplorables with “unacceptable views” that Justin Trudeau and his fellow Laurentian Elites absolutely detests. And Erin McFool still refuses to support them!

    1. Driving is about freedom and independence. Raised by helicopter parents in an era of Safetyism, we all should have seen this coming.

By the way, those who do crave freedom and thus are free, independent thinkers, are going to have boundless golden opportunities in the decades ahead.

    2. The next generation will be so poor that driving is not something they will ever be able to afford so they don’t get their hopes up. It also now takes years to get a drivers license, so unless they still live with a parent there is no one to teach them so they never get the chance.

It costs a young man more for car insurance than it is possible for him to earn and there is no such thing as a cheap used car anymore.

It’s just the younger generation learning to live with lower expectations in the shitty world we’ve gifted them.

    3. My first face to face encounter with an anti-driver was with a 20-something young cat pussy at Canadian Tire. I forget my question now but his answer, accompanied by a PROUD smile was, “I don’t have a car … I don’t drive”.

    4. Even if they did drive, how would they maintain their vehicles? Most wouldn’t know what a socket wrench is and, besides, there’s no smartphone app they can use to change a tire.

      1. That is so true. A stick shift is now called “millennial anti theft device” and Ikea is changing some of their lineup because UnMes can’t figure out how to use the allen key.

  1. Caution: link to Globull:

Ontario doctor banned from prescribing ivermectin now director of company offering drug

    https://globalnews.ca/news/8540126/covid-ivermectin-prescription-telehealth-ontario/

“An Ontario doctor prohibited from prescribing ivermectin to treat COVID-19 has launched a telehealth service offering the unapproved treatment to Ontarians to treat the virus…But Phillips’ involvement, as well as the existence of the service, is not breaking any provincial laws.

    Interesting.

    1. That’s fantastic news.
I hope he can source it.
I’m not fond of going to my street corner drug dealer to get it.

  2. U.S. CARRIERS SLIP OUT OF REACH On Dec. 5, 1941, Japanese Fleet Loses Chance for Total Victory

Total victory for the Japanese at Pearl Harbor slips away at 8:10 a.m. The aircraft carrier Lexington eases out of Hawaii at that hour, the last of the three aircraft carriers based there to leave port.
    (Snip)
It is unusual that no carriers are left at Pearl Harbor. In April 1941, four of the seven U.S. carriers were at Hawaii.

    1. If you want to read about a true Canadian war hero read up on Air Commodore Leonard Joseph Birchall.

        1. My wife knew him through RMC. He gave her a number of his flashes, badges and a flying jacket worn as a young pilot. We gave them to the museum at the Trenton Airbase.

    2. How many carriers did the US have in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941?

Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action.

What did the President know, and when did he know it?

      1. Nope. One is routine maintenance. When you have three carriers in the Pacific, one most of the time will be in the dock or fitting out or undergoing a shakedown cruise or embarking an air group or training. So that takes care of USS Saratoga.

Two is a mission to Wake delivering USMC F4F Wildcat fighters. She is escorted by a trio of cruisers and a bunch of destroyers. She is exactly the ship to be used for this role. And those fighters have to get there because everyone knows that the war is coming. Those fighters will be in combat three days later. So that takes care of USS Enterprise.

Three replace Wake with Midway from point two. Except that she is carrying bombers not fighters. She doesn’t complete the mission. The planes eventually get there long way round. Half a year later Midway will witness a pivotal battle of the Pacific war and the destruction of most of the carrier force that hit Pearl. So that takes care of USS Lexington.

No conspiracy there. No “whisking away” just regular duty.

Again there were more vital targets at Pearl than either carriers or battleships. Has Japanese destroyed the fuel reserves they would have crippled Americans much more than they had and much more than they would have if they sunk carriers instead. In order of importance rank fuel reserves as #1, CVs as #2, BBs as #3. And your point is that Roosevelt was willing to risk 1 and 3 but not 2? Facepalm.

Carriers had busy lives before the war. They weren’t a part of battle line. They were a part of scouting force. They were not supposed to sit still. Saratoga and Lady Lex at that time actually carried a full cruiser battery in turrets around their island. Lex went down with that layout at Coral Sea half a year later, Sara was modernized and the cruiser battery removed.

At the initial stages of the war carriers are used for nuisance raids. They operate typically alone (with no other carriers) with a thin screen of cruisers and destroyers. They do hit and run attacks mainly for moral purposes and to annoy the Japanese. Again their deployment before the Pearl Harbor attack was characteristic of what was expected of them. Their full potential wasn’t fully realized until about half a year worth of experience later. And you expect Roosevelt to realize it before King, Nimitz and the rest of admiralty? Double facepalm.

Of the carriers that US had or that were near completion before the Pacific War begun Saratoga and Enterprise survived the war. Ranger survived the war too but was never used operationally in the Pacific due to her limited value in fleet operations. Lexington, Yorktown, Wasp and Hornet were all lost within a year. Meanwhile between early to late 1940 US has already ordered 10 new Essex class carriers (more followed later). The fleet buildup was on the way already. USS North Carolina was already commissioned. USS Gato would commission witching a month, Fletchers Clevelands, South Dakotas were already on the slipways or fitting out. USN needed to rely on existing ships for about a year before the spam of new hulls would completely overwhelm the Japanese. And they had enough debt by late 41 to do so even if they lost a pair of carriers at Pearl. And note that of all the BBs hit at Pearl only two were unrecoverable loses. All others were put back in action (granted some took longer than others to get there).

And the of course B-17s and radar and … whatever, I am tired and your theory is bullshit.

  3. L – Twitter is now censoring non-members from being able to follow Max Bernier, Tamara Lich
and Mark Friesen and likely anyone supporting the trucker convoy. They’re trying to make a hit list and censor simultaneously. Twitter=Enemedia of the nation-state and human Liberty.

    1. Twitter:

I’m wondering if they have the capacity to deny views based on the location of the click. I’ve clicked on a few SDA twitter links and got the “must be logged in” message which I don’t remember seeing before. I don’t do twitter but I do often click on SDA twitter links.

  4. Interesting that the border agent already knew the ‘vaccine’ status of the trucker. Does this mean that we are all being tracked and surveilled? Not concerned at all just asking for a friend.

    1. Yup.
Think of the movie from the late 90’s with Will Smith called ” Enemy of The State “.
That was some 20 years back .
Or the TV show ” Person of Interest “.
The Cabal seem to have a pact that they gotta tell the lemmings what they are going to do to them in advance.
If we say nothing, then game on.

    2. Sounded like the ArriveCAN app. I asked a CBSA officer why no one would take my scan and he said the same thing. ArriveCAN works in the background.
Your passport also has a chip in it. CBP will receive your information while you’re in line before handing your passport to the officer.

  5. Can we get a list of unacceptable views?
If not, how are we to police out thoughts properly?
Is there a list of proper acceptable views and all other views are therefore deemed to be unacceptable?

If government and media don’t give us this information and guidance for our thinking and opinions then we are lost…..

Pro Tip: If you are less intelligent than a politician or a journalist then you should allow them to guide your thinking. If you are more intelligent than Trudeau then you should think for yourself.

    1. “If you are more intelligent than Trudeau…”

My belly button lint is more intelligent than the Baked Potato. My toe jam has more common sense.

    1. How? Simple. Media whores have no self awareness whatsoever. But hey, welcome to the party, Ivison. As a famous 20th leader once said, “late you come, but still you come.”

  6. How do the Fat in Fat City keep fat? One of their most recent scams is that they design and implement a new pay system (called Phoenix), which is immediately an unmitigated disaster, and ends up overpaying the Fat with over $3 billion of taxpayer money. Now, it looks like the Fat will get to keep the $3 billion:

“Federal government departments are approaching an important anniversary with the infamous Phoenix pay system and are now in a race to recover thousands of salary overpayments to public servants before they run out of time.
The troubled Phoenix has churned out nearly $3 billion in overpayments to employees since it went live in February 2016. ”

    https://ottawacitizen.com/news/federal-government-races-to-collect-phoenix-overpayments-ahead-of-deadline

    1. From the linked article: “Public service workers who’ve suffered so much already at the hands of Phoenix deserve better…”

Can someone please explain to me precisely how getting overpaid 10’s of thousands of $$$ causes suffering? I’d like me a bit of that brand of suffering. And, and, how do know not know you’ve been overpaid by 10’s of thousands of $$$? These overpayments should be covered by the Baked Potatoe’s trust fund. Maybe that would spur a bit of hustle to clean this mess up.

  7. Apologies if this was linked a couple of days ago and I missed it.
    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/01/whistleblowers-reveal-dod-medical-data-showing-military-cancer-diagnoses-tripled-since-rollout-experimental-vaccines-along-10x-increase-neurological-disorders-near-5x/

This is three doctors talking about a summary of military records (cross-services) in the US, not voluntary reporting like VAERS.
Note for UnMe – a 100% increase is 2 times the normal rate.
…the number of cancer diagnoses in the military went from a 5-year average (2016-2020) of 38,700 per year to 114,645 in the first 10 months of 2021.
    myocardial infarction –269% increase
    Bell’s palsy – 291% increase
congenital malformations (for children of military personnel) – 156% increase
    female infertility – 471% increase
    pulmonary embolisms – 467% increase

    1. Him too? Pretty soon Spotify will be gone. I had it for awhile and canceled it.

      Hou’re you Ab.

      1. Livin’ the life Nancy…ha

Spotify seems to be a platform of diminishing returns. I defend their right to tell these performers to go pound sand tho. If you think your bigger than some platform go ahead and test the waters.

Looking after a dog for a local young couple. I stopped by their place and picked her up a coupla nites ago. I had my stinkin’ old trap truck with Shot Jackson’s crate in the back.
“How are you going to get her home, ” her mistress inquired.
        “In the crate,” I replied.
“She wont go in a crate.”
“Sure she will,” and off we went to the truck.
I loaded her and the gal came out with the dog food and said, ” How’d you get her in the crate, we’ve never been able to.”
” I told her to go in and she did.” Ha
She’s a big dog. 100 lbs I’m guessing. She loves it out here and my dogs think she’s ok. She is.

        1. Ab:
Nice story. Someone called you Abman the other day. Good name but I’d be inclined to say ‘DogWhisperer’…. This lucky dog you’re taking care of won’t want to go home if she’s surrounded by new pals in the country. I bet she sniffed out her future new friend, SJ, from the cage.

Thought I’d include these precious pups in the link down below for your enjoyment and all that come here to read this, there’s some good ones here, hope you enjoy them. Some of them brought tears to my eyes.

BTW: Trini, the black lab neighbor-dog is still next door, and barking less, she’s probably enjoying the scenery more now too. There’s a huge park, a treelined pathway and pretty gals n guys walking their dogs all day long. “What’s not to like, for a city lot?” says Trini. There’s one neighbour who walks her orange cat on a leash, name’s Cheddar. People stop to chat sometimes when I’m out gardening in the spring or summer. This p.m. it was 9° C so I opened the back door and ate lunch standing up — I think Doggo heard my radio, she seemed to be listening out for where the sound was from, song was “lalala, I love you!”

          LG –except for the tears!

          P.S.
B A’ s link! My laugh for the week! Hadn’t heard that one either.

      1. You’re welcome. It’s been a while since I last heard that one on the radio.

  8. Statistics Canada released important data today on poverty in Canada that will be completely ignored, or barely reported, by the legacy media. The gap in disposable income between high and low income households has fallen to the lowest level ever recorded since the analysis first began in 1999.

“Household disposable income increased more for lower income households than higher income households in the third quarter. As a result, the gap between the top two and bottom two income quintiles’ share of total disposable income declined to its lowest level ever recorded since the beginning of this data series in 1999.”

  9. Search: ‘ RCMP FLQ Barn ‘

All sorts of good topical items and likely predictions of future RCMP behaviour during the Freedom Convoy protest.

    Example:
    https://archive.macleans.ca/article/1977/11/14/the-gang-that-couldnt-spook-straight

“Robert Samson, a former undercover Mountie, was on trial in Montreal in March, 1976, for planting a bomb outside the home of Steinberg’s grocery chain president Melvyn Dobrin. In the course of testimony, Samson blurted out that he had “done worse things for the RCMP than plant bombs,” and then revealed his central role in the APLQ break-in in 1972. Samson subsequently was convicted of the bomb charge and was sent to prison for seven years.”

  10. Now is the time to juxtapose. SDAers know how the legacy media and the authorities are demonizing the Freedom Convoy. Now look back to 2009 when over 30,000 Tamils gathered in Ottawa to show their support for the terrorist organization, Tamil Tigers (the Canadian government officially declared the Tamil Tigers a terrorist organization in 2006). To the legacy media, it was simply a love-in. No need to suggest there could be violence. No need to call the marchers terrorist supporters, although they were waving the flag of the Tamil Tigers terrorist organization.

(Trigger warning: the link is to a sympathetic CBC article)

  11. Movie alert!

Sunday night, TCM will show The Verdict (Paul Newman, James Mason, Charlotte Rampling, and Jack Warden). Newman, in one of his best performances, plays a down-and-out lawyer who gambles what’s left of his career in fighting a medical malpractice suit.
