  10. I’m willing to bet these same people are the same ones with high IQ’s that don’t know enough to dim their lights when they are meeting on coming traffic, and amazingly enough I had two night driving truckers in the space of a month complain about just that without being prompted.
    These people need a reckoning with reality whether it’s getting their food, flushing their waste away, keeping their sidewalks and roads clear, their homes heated and dry the list goes on, but they need a lesson and it’s either going to be a small one now or a big one later but nothing will change until it happens.
    It’s just too bad the grateful and independent that mind their own business , and look you in the eye and say hello back when you meet them, have to be tolerant of such societal dead weight.

      I live in a Condo in Calgary….So when I’m outside or taking my recyclables/garbage to the Enclosure, I always say hello to folks…those in their 50’s and up, pretty much always return the hello. But the young..especially/mostly women..?? Heads down while walking counting the grains in the asphalt or face buried in their iPhone23. When ya say hello it’s almost like you’ve startled them – then ya get quick shy hello…and off they scurry like a mouse. I’m actually surprised more don’t acquire head injuries while engrossed in their instagram page or whatever – walking into a pole. (& speaking of INstagram – that is nothing but a cesspool of SCAMMERS..wow.)

      Anyway, Theirs is the generation that resides primarily in the Ether and will willingly check out of mainstream life to go full bore into META…. How sad for them when some REAL shit hits the fan…No Fking Clue….the lot.

    I could be wrong, but I think the cops are going to close routes to the truckers and keep the vast majority of the convoy from going downtown.
    Ottawa’s downtown core is fairly small.
    The roads aren’t big either.

    1. LOL. Back in university I had a summer job working for a farmer down the road from ours. He had a Ford Louisville tandem with a Jimmy and a 5 & 4. Lots of coulees & rolling hills on his land, lots of shifts. I could shift the auxiliary OK but I bet I ground just about every shift on that damn main that summer.
