Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Merry Christmas all! Especially to Kate, her doggies, and her various elf assistants that make this blog so awesome.
Contemplating on Tim Hortons, ‘Bieber balls’ this morning….
Na, didn’t sound too pleasing when it was first advertised.
Can honestly say that I NEVER ate any of Bieber’s balls.
I’ll just start out with French Toast with maple syrup with a touch of 1/2 pound of bacon.
Get my arteries a right good proper work out…yummy.
While enjoying Christmas Carols on the idiot box.
JoJo..

Or, worse, a certain buddy of Dear Leader.
“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
The world is in need of a great light after two years of darkness. Merry Christmas to everyone at SDA!
(Time for a champagne breakfast!)

Not a huge religious kind of guy, But I can get behind that 1000% Linda
In varying degree, many are put off by “the G-word.”
Though not a Bible thumper, I’ll simply offer this for consideration by those souls: GOD – good orderly direction.
I hope that helps.
Merry Christmas!
Ditto Steakman! Thanks to LindaL and OntarioKate. Well said.
We just watched our Grandkid open his gifts on Zoom. Wish we could be there, but…
I have kind of departed from organized religion – too much sucking up to the Treaty 6 worship and the Chinapox crap. I’m done. I will talk to my God as I choose and as often as I choose.
Merry Christmas everyone, especially Kate and the team there.
Take care.
Merry Christmas to Kate and Lance, all the guest bloggers and to all who inhabit this corner of sanity in a completely insane world. I thank all of you for the links and the comments full of wisdom, encouragement and sarcasm. I seriously don’t know how I would survive without knowing about this place.
+1
Speaking of Christmas music:
https://americandigest.org/something-wonderful-hallelujah/
“10-year-old Kaylee Rogers, who has autism and ADHD, leads the Killard House School Choir in the singing of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”. This beautiful music video was recorded at the Killard House School in Donaghadee in Northern Ireland.”
Merry Christmas everyone and thanks to Kate for hosting us.
Merry Christmas to everyone, even the annoying or downright aggravating people. We can resume our squabbles after we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas, y’all!
L – For those citizens disoriented by events near and far,
Elders of church and clan advise: beware the tellers of tall tales.
For our civilization so much built on acts heroic, of moral and physical courage.
This intermission, where theatrics mimic a chorus of the damned, grows wearisome.
Oh, please, restart the inspirational, the aspirational, the main event soon!
Merry Christmas To Kate And Lance and every one who contributes to this Wonderful Inspiring Place. I so enjoy the commentators and discourse that happens here. May The God of all creation Bless us all.
Here’s a Christmas composition I was introduced to shortly after I began grad studies at UBC more than 40 years ago, Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSFnfeoaqjw
I was a member of an amateur choral group, consisting of students and staff, that was organized to sing that piece at the end of term. It’s one of the few works of his that I actually like.
Thanks to Kate for this marvelous free space.
