This is what we’re told. But, here’s the problem…
They’re not asking us to ‘trust the science’. They’re asking us to ‘trust the people who are telling us the science’.
To qualify that further…
They’re asking us to trust the representatives of pharmaceutical companies, repeatedly implicated in fraud and profiteering lawsuits resulting in billions of dollars in fines and damages.
They’re asking us to trust medical bureaucrats who represent agencies and institutions funded and influenced by said pharmaceutical companies.
They’re asking us to trust the doctors who are harassed and threatened with de-registration by said agencies and institutions.
They’re asking us to trust politicians, so many of whom are known to lie, to be corrupt, to issue directives that undermine and exploit our society and environment, and to have financial interests in corporations that profit from these decisions.
And finally…
They’re asking us to trust the media, tech-giants and fact-checkers who offer these people a highly censored platform, while accepting funds and favours from the very organisations they represent. We have even had first hand experience of this, by being blocked on major social media sites many times over now for simply spreading this message of “ask better questions”.
And despite these countless ‘conflicts of interest’…
They will criticise us for questioning. For ‘doing our own research’. For verifying sources. For seeking full context rather than ‘cherry-picked’ data. For consulting other credible experts. For considering, rather than dismissing, contradictory information. For lending an ear to those who cry foul play. For weighing up a broader scope of data and perspectives to improve our chances of being ‘right’ while always leaving room for being ‘wrong’. This is what was formerly known as a ‘scientific approach’.
And yet today, if we take such an approach, we’re a ‘conspiracy theorist’.
