That is a problem in general when dealing with the government bureaucrats. In fact, whenever someone who wants to change the system is elected, the FIRST thing they need to do is get rid of the DM’s and ADM’s. Brian Mulroney made the same mistake when he was elected. I agree that the origin of the virus was likely the Wuhan lab. I also agree that the subsequent actions of the Chinese resulted in international spread , possibly even intentional. However, before we go too hot and heavy into Chinese culpability and punishment I would like to add a couple of thoughts:
Firstly, it is clear that western organizations, nations and researchers were and continue to be involved in the research into gain of function, including even the Wuhan lab itself. We cannot let ourselves scapegoat the Chinese completely. And second, regardless of where the blame lies. And how much we want revenge / justice, I don’t think there will be any type of deep investigation or international response until a: our political/ economic situation globally becomes stable enough to risk sanctions, etc. ( You tell me when that will be) or other more profitable politics makes it useful.
I don’t really have to add it but I will: never in history has so much money been made off of a tragedy, with the possible exception of the second world war. The wealth and power thus created does not answer for crimes.

It’s quite possible that globalists and the Chinese made a deal but the Chinese government may have a different end game in mind for this misadventure, the globalist elites and the Chinese government have worked co-operatively in the past but they are also rivals and hold similar views about their rights to world domination. The same can be said for globalists and Islamists. At some stages of some projects, there can be co-operation. But there would come a time when these rivals would need to settle who was actually in charge.
The lock-step reporting on the Omicron variant is so transparent (and clumsy) that it must be coming to the attention of more previously unaware non-radicalized centrists who will probably begin to come to similar conclusions about all this eventually. Two quibbles with Rex. The minor one: Alberta is not officially bilingual The major one: Quebec is not a nation. The French Canadians certainly are a nation, and their national territory is almost entirely in Quebec, which they effectively control; nonetheless, Quebec is a province of Canada and not a French Canadian national state. That was what made the difference in the last referendum, in which the French Canadians voted in a clear majority for independence, but were outvoted by the notorious money and the ethnic vote, ie. the other nationalities in the population. Nations do not allow their fate to be determined by conquered peoples and visiting foreigners. Quebec had no choice. It’s not a nation.
