December 15, 2021: Reader Tips

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer,

In the spirit of Clement Clarke Moore’s famous poem, this evening we present you with a video showing flying reindeer and then another that teaches you how to draw them.

Your tips of the past day are much appreciated!

    1. Whether or not Joe Stalin actually said this is up for debate.
“The people who cast the votes don’t decide an election, the people who count the votes do.”

For Biden to use a part of this quote “who counts the vote and whether it counts at all” is not him mispeaking. Rather, it is him laying out the Democrats Get Out the Vote strategy for winning the 2022 mid-terms and then the 2024 presidential election.

Unless there is a change in the way votes are counted in some states, there will be massive voter fraud. There absolutely needs to be a transparent and fully reliable and accountable methodology put in place for the 2022 and 2024 elections. Citizens must demand nothing less.

  1. And a little old man with his hand on his dick,
I knew in a moment it must be Saint Ni…, oh wait, must be confused here.
    Another version?

      1. I disagree, he used state resources to write the book, this is a violation of his contract. FETE.

Besides, if the lawless state that he helped create, profited from, and advanced at the cost of the innocent, now decides that his proper punishment (even if for a made up crime) is gang rape until dead I am fine with that too. In fact I would be enthusiastic about it. Double that if the decision is illegal and sentence is carried on regardless. Apply to the enemy the ROE they apply to you (same goes for Chauvin btw).

        1. It sounds like he got approval from them a year and a half ago though, and they are using the excuse of “state resources” to justify changing their mind after the fact. And if he used some state resources, and that wasn’t approved, an appropriate punishment would be compensating for resources used. 100% of profits might be justified if 100% of the book was done using state resources…but I don’t think that is the case here.

A government agency changing an approval after the fact, then clawing back all the profits…reeks.

          1. Yes, poetic injustice. Richly deserved. He is getting f***ed over by the monster he helped to create. I feel about as bad for him as I do for Robespeirre which is to say I hope he misses, hope they reap the bloody rug stuck to his face right before the blade falls.

    1. Joe Concha: This is why Cuomo covered up nursing home scandal

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKDYxbO8eFk

I would feel better if they went through the civil courts, but I find it impossible to have any sympathy for this major scumbag Cuomo. He should be up on murder charges. Really, how do you consider what he did involving care homes anything other than premeditated murder? Crikey, he murdered thousands and thousands and thousands… it is simply stunning to try and comprehend his actions.

Andrew Cuomo could never be subjected to enough suffering, IMO.

      1. “He should be up on murder charges. ”

        Mass murder charges, genocide..

“Andrew Cuomo could never be subjected to enough suffering, IMO.”

Exactly, and when the heartless monster, he helped to create and served, devours him I’ll have a beer and some popcorn. Don’t care how unfair he is treated. Only care that it hurts.

  2. Omicron is spreading like wildfire in BC. Right now at the university of Victoria there’s been 123 cases of wuflu 4 of which were confirmed omicron but they haven’t finished the genealogical tests yet. It’s R value is 2.5 which means by Christmas it’ll be dominant and by mid January it’ll be clear covid is over.

  3. I just finished watching the last episode of the original The Forsyte Saga. For anyone who likes good drama, this is definitely worth seeing. The only gripe I have is that it seemed overly long at 26 episodes and that the latter half was like a soap opera. Then again, I never read the novels on which the series was based.

There’s a Canadian connection to TFS. One of the cast members was born in Canada and two of them later moved across the pond to work in Canadian theatre.

Up next, the series which was the first presentation of PBS’s Masterpiece Theatre, The First Churchills:

    1. Thanks. I read the book “The Titled Americans” so this will be a good prequel to the Churchill family saga.

There is a scene in the book which probably won’t be in this series because it is a minor thing or even considered a piece of gossip, it is about Winston staying at the White House.

Since his mother, Jennie Jerome, was an American, he felt equally at home in the States. But it was not just any home that he liked to visit, he liked the President’s Home. The accommodations, the food, booze and service was to his liking and first rate. Thing is, he stayed too long. The Americans thought they’d never be rid of him.

Though historical, funny little tid bits like that aren’t to be found just anywhere about the men that made history.

Here’s the info on the book:

P.S. re: The Forsyte Saga — I started it recently (still have episode 1 copied, on hold– may I ask, what is the name of the Canadian actor in it to watch for?

      1. what is the name of the Canadian actor in it to watch for

David Cargill has a minor role as a blackmailer during the latter half of the series. I don’t believe I’d heard of him before. I wouldn’t have found out who he was if I hadn’t opened the IMDB page for the cast list.

Nicholas Pennell and Robin Phillips both came to Canada after the series ended and worked in theatre, particularly at Stratford. Phillips eventually ran the Citadel Theatre here in Edmonton. I remember reading about those two gentlemen in the newspaper.

The cast of The Forsyte Saga includes many familiar faces, often appearing in numerous TV shows and movies, though one might not necessarily remember their names. Margaret Tyzack (the character of Winifred) played a Soviet scientist in 2001: A Space Odyssey as well as the mother of the title character in I, Claudius. Susan Hampshire (Fleur) was in a few movies. Kenneth More (an under-rated actor, in my opinion), who played “Young Jolyon”, was in the movie A Night to Remember. Eric Porter (Soames) later played Count Dimitri in The Jewel in the Crown.

  4. “Trust me, I’m doctor.”
Big pharma can’t exclude glass from Covid pharmaceuticals. Glass being so much more elusive than sub-microscopic components of vaccines and palliative compounds.

Be assured, they have our best interests at heart.

    1. Until a generation ago, there would have been.

I’m reminded of the Internet meme consisting of two pictures. On the left is a famous photo of a landing craft approaching one of the Normandy beaches. On the right is a pair of effeminate soyboys.

The Normandy picture has a caption which goes like, “In 1944, 18-year-old men jumped out of airplanes, stormed beaches and headed into certain danger.” The other one has something like, “Nowadays, 18-year-old men need safe spaces because words can hurt.”

  5. Our dear leaders (ALL OF THEM) just admitted that vaccinations don’t work.

    https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-trudeau-considers-quarantine-for-fully-vaxed-returning-canadians

Premiers heard of Trudeau’s idea to recommend another ban on non-essential travel and a requirement to quarantine for 14 days even for fully vaccinated Canadians returning from vacation. Plans would also include what has been described as a ban on anyone who is not a citizen or permanent resident entering the country and a requirement for anyone entering Canada to be vaccinated.

If the jabs work as advertised then why quarantine ?

    1. “Plans would also include what has been described as a ban on anyone who is not a citizen or permanent resident entering the country and a requirement for anyone entering Canada to be vaccinated.”

Uh-huh. Just like last time they mouthed this shit. And, as the article notes, a hunnert-thousand plus flew into the country, while the sheep watched. And, I’m sure Roxham Rd will be staffed by the Queen’s Horsemen to carry luggage.

“Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said last Friday that anyone travelling should know that the situation is unstable.”

The only things unstable are the idiots at the municipal, provincial & federal helms.

    1. David – They should rename them “Lies, damned lies, statistics and climate-change Canada”

      1. Raw, hard numbers are all that matter. Computer models and projections are useless. I ran a portion of a multimillion dollar company and when doing a budget I went with actual costs and always added ten percent, if I didn’t need it wasn’t used and went elsewhere. I could have played the stats game but didn’t. Of course when dealing with actual equipment you had to depreciate it which is a form of projection but it was usually based on experience and actual reality. If something lasted longer that was a bonus and money in your pocket.

    1. Paul, this must be the first article from the corporate media cartel exploring any type of an anti-China consumer boycott. Even with people talking about it over the past two years, the corrupt cartel has kept a lock on any news of this. Money and power count for a lot in our corrupt country.

    2. My old Mom had a life long boycott of quebek. She’d check everything and if it said quebek- back on the shelf. I’ve kept her boycott alive.

It’s not that difficult to boycott quebek except when it comes to dairy products- namely butter and cheese. Quebek controls these products.

China is a different matter. They dominate Canadian retail. It’s tough to avoid them.

    3. Anyone who resolves to avoid buying anything no made in China will quickly come to understand how and why Canada has been able to keep inflation in check all these years.

    1. But of course he will eliminate the phrase “so help me God”. “Seig Heil” will likely be added instead as the phrase that more suits the country Germany has become, once again.

  6. Latest from UNIFOR propaganda:

Premier Jason Kenney has announced 500,000 rapid test kits will be available starting Friday at select AHS sites and pharmacies.

Also, eligibility for booster doses of MRNA vaccine opens today for all health care workers and people age 50 or over if it’s been at least six months since their second dose.

Kenney says due to the risk posed by the Omicron variant, there won’t be significant changes to the current health restrictions. However, indoor gatherings will no longer be limited to a maximum of two cohorts. The number of people allowed remains at 10 adults, and there is no longer a vaccination requirement.

  7. Tech question:
I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 8 (iOS 15). With my new phone, I can’t view SDA on safari. When I type in the URL, it directs me to an “Archives” page in which the most recent archive link is for postings from June 2018. How do I get it to direct me to new SDA content? Clicking the image at the top does not work; simply takes me to the same Archives page.

  8. Claws of the Panda.

Apparently, in the U.S., there is a “crackdown on Chinese influence within universities.”

” A federal jury was selected on Tuesday in the trial of a Harvard University nanotechnology professor accused of lying to U.S. authorities about his ties to a China-run recruitment program and concealing funding he received from the Chinese government.

The Boston jury will return on Wednesday to hear lawyers deliver opening statements in the trial of Charles Lieber, an ex-chair of Harvard’s chemistry department charged in the highest-profile case to result from a U.S. crackdown on Chinese influence within universities.”
