1. That shit will backfire.
   Attacking people’s children is a really big mistake.
   I really can’t imagine too many fathers letting some pinko call their kid a racist.

2. Our governments decades of failed ineptitude is creating a collapse of the whole system.
   Our politicians never are wrong even though a policy or law is put in place is a failure.
   Rather than redo or rethink of the mistakes, they add more restrictions and regulations to this mistake.
   Everything in our existence currently goes through our governments and politicians and they control this system.
   They’ve created a Merrry-go-round feed back loop where they’re laws and policies, they have no clue on who is responsible as so many different entities are involved.
   Perfect example is how our politicians have taken over parental responsibly and taken the parenting away from the parents and given children more rights than the parents. Discipline of a child can get the government on your ass and yet they want you responsible for the children’s behavior.
   Rather than fix this problem as our governments never make a mistake, they’re now go after the parents for not being involved for every second on your children should they do something stupid and someone is responsible…just not the many government agencies or officials that had been in this child’s life that you have no rights too.
   Rather than fix it, our politicians want to fuck it up even more.

4. This past summer I was having a discussion with a teacher from Edmonton who was dismissive of my comments on what was happening throughout the United States. She was insistent that the whole thing was overblown and would never happen here. I was just pushing silly conspiracy theories and besides, it’s just Americans……. After all, we are Canadians. What she really wanted to say was morally superior. (Why are so many Canadians smug and arrogant?)
   Rhetorical question. Well, here we are and no surprise it is popping up in Redmonton.

      Somebody I first met during my freshman year went on to teach in the Edmonton school system for 2 or 3 decades. During that time, she became an ardent communist and she certainly checked off all the boxes. She was cozy with the provincial Dippers. She was a United Church activist. She hated Trump. She married a fellow communist. She was a pro-Indian white and would have loved what Prinz Dummkopf did with flying flags at half-mast if she hadn’t died earlier this year.

      I shudder to think that the school systems filled with the likes of her.

   3. The reason why North Koreans are smug: Canadians are raised that way and (unlike North Koreans who have no access to outside media) refuse to broaden their minds in any way, shape or form.

5. At least in the US this is controversial and parents are taking public stands against it. In Canada hardly anyone will object, and those that do will be characterized as white supremacists by the media.

   In Canada nobody even knows (or cares) about what’s happening. You’d have to start at the beginning to even begin to explain to disinterested people what the problem is.

7. I imagine the experience of Jewish children in schools in the 30’s in you-know-where were much the same. The effort to marginalize & dehumanize them was total in both cases.

8. I finished high school 50 years ago and I never saw one incident of racism in school. I certainly knew the black kid looked different as was the Indian (red dot) kid. He was a friend of mine. I don’t recall one incident of anything impolite said to either of them. There were a few Indian (feather) kids but I didn’t even appreciate that there were Indians. I thought they just had darker skins like some of the Italian kids. Accusing kids of crimes which they didn’t commit is one of the poorer ways of teaching right from wrong.

9. My own approach was to teach my kids before they got it at school. I don’t know how well it worked but it was a pretty big responsibility. Like parenthood I suppose.
   Warning : this strategy could afford you a fair number of proud moments when you get to back your kid up in disputes with teachers. But you do have to have their backs.
