Real Agriculture- Thousands of truckers prepared to walk due to vaccine mandates, warn Canadian trucking groups
The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) says it estimates that up to 22 thousand Canadian drivers will decide to leave the Canada-U.S. market when the Canadian government’s planned cross-border vaccination mandate takes effect on January 15, 2022. Based on a recent survey of its members, the CTA says many trucking companies are preparing to lose 10 to 20 per cent of their drivers, and potentially more than 20 per cent in regions of the country with lower vaccination rates.

Combine this with Nanny Moe’s knee jerk reaction and the new unnecessary/over reaching truck driver training rules as a result of the Humboldt Bus Tragedy, and you’ve got a recipe for driver shortages and higher shipping rates.

If the government sold ice cream at a baseball game in July, they’d loose money, and sell crappy ice cream. Why do they continue to interfere with things that work?
So that those whose basic dictatorship they so admire can buy up Canadian things that used to work @ pennies on the dollar, Lance.
Think we should run a pool of how far this goes before it all collapses on itself. You could vaccinate everyone and everything that has a pulse in this country and we would will still have it within our borders.
Someone who thinks this strategy is somehow for greater social good please enlighten me. Inform me to what outcome is needed for this to end.

This is about shutting down economies and planned shortages.
Over-regulation is the government’s way of ruining things for everyone. It would not be necessary but, you know, virus and so on. We’re all in this together or something.
Now that Christmas booze might be affected, Canadians will no doubt be more vocal than they usually are in the Tim Horton’s drive-through.
I will bet you that a significant of our “supply chain” problems is that vax mandates are causing many of the older, more experienced workers, who know how to do the damned job, to quit, or get fired, leaving the green hands to fill in. Not just truckers, but shippers, receivers, purchase managers, production managers, you name it.
Good excuse for the political vax numbnuts to call in the military to help distribute food and um, do other things, should the SHTF. The vaxxed will get priority and the unclean will have to wait. After all it’s our fault.

I gotta tell ya – These clowns always seem to be in a contest over who can be the most offensive.
Frum is a paid political opinionist, a malignant minority if ever there was one. Everything he says is something he heard or read, guy hasn’t had an original thought in his life.

So young Master Frum realises we can become the majority. Then he and his ilk will finally be the outsiders. Then he would lose his cushy position; whatever that may be.
There are still lots of true believers out there. Some of them are slowly learning to put two-and-two together. It may take time but, based on Frum’s fears, it may happen sooner than later. He wouldn’t be trying to gaslight us if it weren’t.
If they’re thinking of leaving the Canada-US market they’re probably pakis. Sometimes things are better than they sound.
Ya want truck drivers? Just put a help wanted ad in the Brampton Pakistan Times.Then start boring a big-ass hole in the cab driver’s seat.
The local big truck repair shops told me they won’t touch their trucks unless they’ve been totally power washed underneath.
Looks like the good times are about to get even better for me. 20 years experience, paid off truck and trailer, and I do 99% of my own mechanical work.
But do I agree with the mandate? Or the requirement for Canadian truck drivers to be fully vaccinated crossing into the states? Or the requirement for American truck drivers to be fully vaccinated crossing into Canada?
No, I do not.
The vaccination seems to be a cure for the modern, wealthy and healthy, free society.
Nobody is sick anymore but we’re all in very bad shape.
