  1. Candace is high energy, focused, and under control. I prefer her to the Rebel as she is disciplined and sticks to the news. Ezra goes off in all directions and is seemingly always one law suite away from bankruptcy. I hope they both succeed.

As for the CBC, it should be sold off as real estate and hardware lest any of the toxic leftist culture be taken up by any potential buyers.

  2. We need to completely defund the liberal party’s propaganda outlet, aka Communist Bullshit Corp!

  3. And like most Canadian comedy, the joke that is the CBC is lame as hell.
Go away, we don’t need you. And take the NFB with you, but leave the animation department except for the lesbians who make short films with dancing tampons. They too are welcome to fuck off and get real jobs.

  4. Canada spy service increasingly worried about violent online rhetoric

OTTAWA, Nov 12 (Reuters) – Canada’s spy service said on Friday it was increasingly concerned about the rise of violent ideologically motivated online rhetoric, which it blamed in part on tensions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) said since the start of the pandemic, threats posed by extremists had “evolved with unprecedented multiplicity and fluidity”.

COVID-19, it said, had worsened existing strains of xenophobia and anti-authoritarianism. Violent extremists were exploiting the pandemic by amplifying false information about government measures and the virus, it said.

Protesters opposed to mandatory vaccinations have blocked access to hospitals across Canada and abused medical staff, both in person and online.

“Online rhetoric that is increasingly violent and calls for the arrest and execution of specific individuals is of increasing concern,” CSIS said in a statement.

CSIS said that since 2014, people motivated in whole or in part by extremist ideological views had killed 25 people and wounded 41 in Canada. This was more than those motivated by religious or political extremism.

In June, four members of a Canadian Muslim family were run over and killed by a man in a pick-up truck in an attack the police said was driven by hate. (Reporting by David Ljunggren; editing by Grant McCool)

    1. CSIS was formed out of the RCMP after our gallant paramilitary force was caught burning down barns. CSIS was supposed to collect foreign intelligence. Back in the day, only a communist totalitarian dictatorship would admit to spying on its own civilian population.

COVID-19, it said, had worsened existing strains of xenophobia and anti-authoritarianism

There’s proof from the horse’s ass that this shithole is past its sell-by date. The government’s spies are deploring “anti-authoritarianism”????

What a country of morons drawing a government paycheque. I’d rather hail our new ant overlords than acknowledge the existence of these precious Dauphin fellators.

    2. CSIS said that since 2014, people motivated in whole or in part by extremist ideological views had killed 25 people and wounded 41 in Canada. This was more than those motivated by religious or political extremism.

Typical government bilge. How many people took the better part of a year on a high six-figure salary to craft such penetrating analysis? I’ll guess an even dozen. And then there are all the special committees of the higher-ups to provide cogent oversight.

What’s the difference between “ideological” views and “political” views? What if your religious view is also ideological? Or if you believe in a theocracy, would that also be political? How can a person’s violent outburst be “partly” motivated by extremist views. What would be the other “part”? Motivated to violence by non-extremist views?

And then there is the obligatory mention of “xenophobia”. I guess the xenophobes wouldn’t be reacting against the religious extremism of all the “brothers” imported on the immigrant pipeline. That wouldn’t make sense. And I guess “mandatory vaccinations” are authoritarian, because opposing such Stalinesque medical experimentation would have to be anti-authoritarian, wouldn’t it? And apparently it’s very bad to oppose the authoritarian state regime. Regardless of what crimes they commit. Because then you’d be opposing all the deadwood collecting government pay. (Paid for by creating more government debt future generations will be responsible for. It has to be borrowed into existence because the current economy isn’t productive enough to support all government morons).

      1. 25 and 14,eh? News flash: that’s a tiny fraction of what the numbers will be if they keep imposing authoritarianism on us in this so-called democracy.

If opposition to authoritarianism is “extremism,” so be it – I’m an extremist now.

  5. Is Candice Malcolm stupid, or just a liar? Her prime example of the CBC’s malfeasance in this worthless, 200-word “article” is just plain wrong:

“This week, the CBC apologized after blowing an election call for the mayoral race in Quebec City. The CBC’s bungled call led to the wrong candidate rushing to the podium to mistakenly deliver her victory speech. So much for being a “beacon for truth.”

    —–

Marie-Josee Savard, the strong favourite in the Quebec City mayor’s race, jumped out to a huge lead in the race and was (wrongly as it turned out) declared the winner by the Journal de Quebec, the Montreal Gazette, and basically the entire media, including the CBC.

This was a media-wide failure, not just the CBC, but Candice Malcolm claims that it was “the CBC’s bungled call led to the wrong candidate rushing to the podium to mistakenly deliver her victory speech.” A total lie.

There are a million things to criticize the CBC about, but neglecting to tell the whole truth about what really happened here is journalistic malpractice, just the type of lying propaganda usually spewed out by the leftist Canadian MSM, including the CBC.

If True North wants to establish itself as an antidote to the Fake News media, then they better start doing basic fact checks before publishing garbage like this. Otherwise it will be them who have no claim to being a “beacon of truth.”

    1. Yeah, Jeppo, CBC is a beacon of virtue, and truth. I’ll risk taking what Candice says, over what the CBC spews, any day of the week.
