[The] concern about the danger of the vaccines is justified, at the very least, by the fact that two vaccines have been proscribed in some jurisdictions because of adverse effects: AstraZeneca and Moderna. Concern is further justified by the facts that: 1) the long-run risk profiles of the vaccines are unknown; and 2) side-effect reporting has been incomplete. Public health messaging about vaccine risks has been less than forthcoming presumably because of the fear that the unvarnished truth would discourage vaccine use. But deceptive messaging also reduces vaccine acceptance over the longer term by eroding trust.
Many people support mandates because they believe they are entitled to be free of the risk of infection from the unvaccinated. That right doesn’t exist in the Charter – nor in the common law or in history.

My husband and I are not particularly social, so we don’t mind sticking to ourselves, although we’ve developed friendships with others of our ilk. When our son comes home, we have a hoot. He’s laid back, interested in just about everything, and he’s funny.
One of the worst things about the last two years has been the disillusionment in Canada. We have lost our freedoms. Trudeau cares only about Quebec and his own political stature, such as it is.

The Wuhan virus has demonstrated two fundamental evils of modern Canada. One is the confirmation of the lack of protection and actual conception of individual rights in Trudeau’s Constitution. The other is the totalitarian nature of socialized and monopolized health care. No freedom of medical practice exists between doctors and patients. The third party (in Canada, the state) calls the shots, tells the doctors, in this case, that they are not allowed to prescribe safe pharmaceuticals, preventatively or in out-patient early treatment. That same third party is deceitful, manipulative, poll driven, and has a corrupted partisan media acting as its propaganda arm. Is it any wonder that their leaky vaccines are not universally accepted?

Yes. I found the wording slightly ambiguous. I can see peopke wanting to avoid infection, but there is no evidence that the unvaxed are any more of a danger than the vaxed. This is simply a mistaken assumption — put out there by dear leader, and reinforced by vax mandates. It’s hard for people to see clearly with this information fog. I have not seen any public health people explicitly make the claim that unvaxed are a bigger danger. Mostly they talk about taxing the system with the assumption that vaxes reduce severity.
Yep. Both my sons were forced to quit Sask polytech because the school is kicking out all unvaccinated students in January. The administration at polytech completely reversed their promise to parents and students.

Look at what was promised to parents and students like us in the first email (before tuition paid) and what they’re doing now (after tuition is paid). A complete bait and switch, imo.
Neat contradiction in the logic – “per the Saskatchewan Human Rights Code”. What good is a code if it does not protect the rights of humans? You have a right to be vexed with the Polytech program. And changing a relational contract in the middle of its execution is illegal. It happens a lot, but class action lawsuits are made of circumstances like the ones described above.
It’s unethical and shows a complete lack of honesty and integrity in the sask polytech organization. I did consider it a firm contract based on the September 20th exchange. Now the kids have lost a portion of their tuition plus are locked into 1 year leases and other living expenses. “Vexxed” would be putting it politely.
On the plus side, one of the boys had been unconvinced about the plan to leave Saskatchewan and Canada. He is now convinced that there is no future, no freedom in this province or this country. He is on board with the rest of the family to move.
That is good news. Many people are becoming disillusioned with Canada and choosing to leave. Used to be such a great place. Now tyranny seems to be running rampant.
My one son, a graduate Engineer in training, is having similar thoughts. Common sense is not common – you have taught your sons to deal with reality and that is more important than just about anything else. Lots of people love fantasy, but it is reality that bites.

My brother is a mechanical engineer and his company relocated him and his family to the US about 20 years ago. They not only liked the move, they became US citizens a few years back. My husband/children’s father isn’t a Canadian citizen so it looks like he can sponsor us.
It’s government bureaucracy that will take time but my single goal is to get my kids into a country/state with more freedom and respect for individual rights. What covid has revealed is that the Canadian Constitution and The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms are absolutely worthless documents.
The big issue right now is that the unvaxxed cannot leave Canada. You cannot board a plane without the vaxport, you cannot enter the USA without the vaxport.
The only way anyone could get away is if they have access to an ocean-going boat. I did consider flying my plane to St. Pierre Miquelon, which is part of France, but I suspect they have similar entry requirements.
No one respects borders or immigration rules and procedures anymore – people or governments. Roxham Road in Canada, US/Mexican border, the English Channel, every European country’s borders…

I’ve lived in three communities right along the US-Canada border. There is no enforcement. I inadvertently crossed the border several times collecting environmental samples because I’m not great at reading RM maps.
PS. The US border guards were always friendlier and helpful, in my experience.

Why would anyone need an exemption from an unelected mass of non-doctors?
Those who want me to be !vaxxed so they can feel safe need to live in abject terror for the rest of their miserable, useless lives.
One aspect that the article did not cover or discuss is the simple point that all scientific discoveries started with anecdotal data, recognition of a repeating fundamental pattern, and the question “Why does x happen?”. I understand that humans have been sold on the gold standard of a double blind research experiment BUT that is not how it started. Remember that the smallpox vaccine came about because someone asked why milk maids didn’t get as bad a case of the pox with less scarring than everyone else. That was an anecdotal recognition of a visible pattern.
The problem we have is that people are hearing about, reading about, and experiencing bad reactions to the vaccines and their experiential data is being ignored, dismissed, or ridiculed by the scientists who have a financial interest at some level in the total inoculation of the population at large. And no one with that financial connection wants to take the time to research these observations because it might cost them. They also accepted a series of tests that violated their own standards of data gathering for the stated goal of saving humanity with dire consequences for some people. It took only 10 deaths out of 200,000 children inoculated with the polio vaccine in the Cutter incident to stop further inoculations of the general public. At last report, (and my data may be old), there are 14,000 deaths in the VAERS database alone, and even more in the MediCare/MedicAid databases that may (and I use that term deliberately) be attributed to the COVID vaccines. And yet, the institutional powers keep saying rare and mild, safe and effective when anecdotally it is not.
It is this fundamental lack of scientific inquiry which vaccine hesitant find so jarring. Science is supposed to be open and available and it has become institutionalized, reluctant, petulant and secretive, kind of like a used car salesman. My apologies for the length of this post.
I worry that too many people are not aware of the negative effects of the vaccines. The press is not doing a good job reporting on these. If they even ran a piece on all the athletes dying, that would be a heads up. People should also be paying attention to sudden deaths and illness in their cohort. This could signal damage to the immune system,

Our own public health chief said the adverse rate was 7 per 100,000 doses. No context given. I strongly suspect that most AEs simply aren’t reported in Canada at all unless it happens in the first few hours post injection. After that, it becomes coincidence. Nothing to see there. Move along.

Who can really say what the end game is for this bizarre socialist revolution under the cover of a pandemic in which almost nobody gets ill or has symptoms.
I suspect the main game is to get the jab into every person including children, after which we will learn what the actual side effects might be, and it would not surprise me if this included mass sterilization perhaps on a time-delayed basis so people didn’t know about it until it was too late. Maybe it’s the boosters or the cumulative effect of vaccines and boosters.
Those of us who are holding out need to stay firm in our resolve, but at the same time we face a growing danger both from hostile reactions (yesterday’s rather misguided protests at Remembrance Day ceremonies provides a perfect vehicle for the state-run media to whip up anger against all of us, 99.9% of whom had nothing to do with either those efforts or the hospital demonstrations). We can also be identified by the state as non-compliant and therefore possibly dangerous to their plans, whatever those turn out to be.
I think some people know what is actually going on, but many are just being conditioned to go along and they actually think this is a rational response to a real emergency. It won’t be difficult to move this over into the domain of the equally fictitious climate emergency and start forcing people to comply with that agenda as it is developed behind the scenes, and not by elected representatives who are just there to rubber stamp elitist decisions, but essentially by the international globalist movement.
You can see the logic of bringing this protest into a Remembrance Day setting because we are being herded around just about the same way that we would have been if Hitler had won World War II, or if communism had gained control of our country by military rather than political means.
What the Canadian people did was monumentally stupid, they voluntarily gave up their freedom and signed on for an unknown future directed by communist-fascist blend 2.0, namely globalism. The only hope would be that a core of resistance holds strong and that some of the sheeple discover for themselves what we already know, that these are massive lies and deceptions. If the resistance grows rather than fizzling out under economic and psychological pressure, then we have some chance of recovering our freedom. I read comments about moving to another place, but where exactly is any better than any other place when globalism basically reaches out to control all countries; the only nations to resist have their own flaws, such as Russia, you would just trade one set of lies for another set by moving there or anywhere else.
