Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Whoa, thanks, Francisco.
Commentary….
Eric started the tune by saying it was for Peter. He was paying homage to Peter Green, who wrote Black Magic Woman in 1968, when he was the main dude in Fleetwood MAC. Peter Green and Mac were better then, then when he died Nd Stevie Nicks and Lyndsay B. Went 70s Rumours disco rock shite.
Just my opinion.
Oh, and this righteous Clapton video features the lovely Eric on 12 string, accompanied by the superlative Steve Gadd on drums, Nathan East on Bass, and I don’t know the keyboard guy.
Excellent
Peter Green just died in July. The Buckingham/Nicks version of Fleetwood Mac started circa mid-70s. Check out Peter’s later work with the Peter Green Splinter Group.
Don’t tease us and leave us hanging …

Question? If The Stones are forced to cancel their tune Brown Sugar … then why is Black Magic Woman still allowed? Shouldn’t this statue get toppled as well? Inter-racial Love appropriation is white supremacy no matter who lays down the guitar licks.
And I hate to break it to you … but the disco-70’s version of Fleetwood Mac is just as valid as the Peter Green Mac, and just as valid as my personal favorite Danny Kirwin Mac… however I draw the line at the Bob Welch Mac.

Sorry … but speaking of Danny Kirwin … I still love his “Sands of Time” as the sweetest psychedelic jam song ever. I suspect this ONE tune formed the bridge between the straight-up Blues FM and the Massively popular Buckingham-Nicks FM. One can hear Christine McVie’s influence in FM just beginning in this lovely tune.

This song is getting millions of views even though it’s shadow banned.

I wonder what song never made before would also include the wealth of the rich being wiped out too with this computerized system. Stock markets as well.
It’s the only thing currently making sense in what our politicians are doing as the Dollar is wiped out as reserse currency.
Never heard any stories or songs so far about a system wiping reset…
Clapton’s fingers don’t seem to grow old. That shows why he is one of the best ever.
With his great gift & accomplishments, Eric Clapton still seems approachable to the common man.
At any age, he puts out quality music.
Thanks, Francisco!
Santana also did “Black Magic Woman” — a great song.
Of course Eric’s “Cocaine” is one of the best. I saw him ‘Live’ when he was with the band ‘Cream’, back in the day. It was a very long version.
Ultimately, though, this next song is a favourite because of the hot chemistry between Clapton and Crow. Here they are:
Watch Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, & Albert Lee
“Tulsa Time”

the chemistry? Well, Clapton is rumoured to be Crow’s FAVOURITE MISTAKE

Sizzle!
This one was always my favourite Clapton. Such a full sound from three musicians! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE9HvSdcaL4
Clapton with JJ Cale “After Midnight”, effortless talent.

Back to Clapton … my favorite is his performance in 1968 with ‘The Dirty Mac’ … doin The Beatles ‘Yer Blues’ … John Lennon, Keith Richards, and Eric Clapton.

Despite the Beatles and Stones notoriety at the time … Clapton takes the lead. And has a brilliant solo at the end. Yeah, I’m a dirty hippie.
