I’ve got a cousin and no one gives a crap he isn’t vaxxed but every time you talk to the guy you get a 30 minute monologue about the illuminati and experiments, etc. He comes over and all you have are his very loud, interminable rants. No one wants to listen to that any more than they want to be lectured about vaccine passports all the time. I don’t hang out with him much right now for the same reasons I don’t hang out with my lunatic aunt who wears a face shield.
      Maybe consider if it’s not your views that have alienated your family but your behaviour.

Steakman, I’m sorry but you won’t have the chance to say “I fucking told you so” because the dementia and prion disease that hits the masses in a year or two will be blamed on the food supply/mad cow/climate change and all your NPC drone relatives will believe that.   3. The cold hard truth is if scum like Lemon and Stelter started winding up being found mutilated and tortured to death in swimming pools and parking garages, and in remote garbage dumps, NONE of this shit would be happening.

    The price we pay for a ‘free society’ is letting scum like this operate. At some point, though, in the face of these egregious abuses of our forbearance and tolerance, Madame Justice begins to scream for a reckoning.

    And as we just saw by the recent ‘random’ attack in the UK, it is DEAD SIMPLE for someone who has been pushed too far, to snap, and start taking these fuckers out.

  5. Imagine coming to the conclusion that the election was rigged from the get go. Can you imagine the conundrum that is going on in the heads of soft headed Americans as the truth comes out about how many illegal ballots were counted. The Democrats have to defend the steal at all costs because when it finally is exposed and they have to accept the truth, the Democratic party will be tossed into the dustbin of history and the American people will be demanding restitution.

    Now imagine if the HCQ and Ivermectin protocols had been implemented when Trump first advocated for them how many thousands of lives would have been saved, as opposed to the hundreds of thousands that died due to the preachings and advice of Dr. Fauci. There is no possibility of restitution here only retribution, and I hope it is thrust on all of the people responsible good and hard.

  8. I don’t think people who have dehumanized their family have been tricked. The pressure of covid hysteria has simply revealed personality traits that were always there. That people reveal their true nature under stress is not a new theory. Extreme pressure and stress is how you really get to understand the strengths and weaknesses of others and yourself.

    Now you know the true nature of politicians, journalists, judges, employers, coworkers, friends and family, etc. Take note. Never forget.

    1. Perhaps every last one of us is capable of doing very nasty stuff. That’s why we agree to live under the framework of the law and trust that others will too. Some genies need to stay in the bottle. These politicians and their media water carriers are playing very dangerous games.

      1. Everyone has a dark side but this last 18 months sure revealed how close to the surface that dark side resides in many people. On the flip side, it also revealed who cannot be easily turned, who maintained their principles.

        Yes, government is playing with fire. The bad blood created between individuals and groups will have unforeseen, long term consequences. For instance, my cynicism of government is now a deep, unforgiving loathing and contempt.

        1. I was just remarking to the wife last night that my contempt for politicians somehow managed to increase beyond what I thought possible. As I said to her, if the rule of law now means nothing to our politicians, then it shouldn’t necessarily restrain citizens either. I’m sure a lot of people are itching to take the gloves off when it comes to dealing with tyrants. What’s that old quote? “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice.”

          2. If the law does not apply equally, everywhere and always to all it applies to no one anywhere. I’ve heard civilization described as being “a mile wide but an inch deep”; also as “a thin crust on top of a volcano”. Without trust in there being true rule of law civil behavior will vanish in the wink of an eye. Not long ago people were throwing punches over a rumored shortage of toilet paper; imagine the reaction if the shortage – rumored or otherwise – is about food.

        2. Food, fuel, health care and electricity must be maintained to prevent anarchy. Yet the affordable, reliable supply of all four have been eroded by politicians. If things start to go awry…get out of the cities. The population density all but ensures conflict and chaos.

      Lots of people have used this golden opportunity to shun allegedly loved ones who wouldn’t put up with their nonsense just to get along. Wuhan flu was just the excuse.

      Spare a thought, just for example, for all the elderly Americans whose sons used “Fox News syndrome” and “anti-vaxxery” as an excuse to cut Mom and Dad off completely.

      (Mom and Dad had never liked or trusted the “feminist” alleycats their sons had brought home from university. Wuhan flu proved their instincts had not deceived them.)

  10. This is not news. It’s always been easier to con people than to convince people they’ve been conned. All grifters rely on this. And you can’t reason people out of a position they haven’t been reasoned into to begin with; most people’s opinions on COVID-19, including most of the posters here, were formed based on emotion and factoids to support the opinion were dredged up later, if at all.

  11. In unrelated non-news, La Nina is expected to result in frigid temperatures in Canada this winter.
    The government, burned by their negligent performance protect covid vulnerables, announced a series of cold snap lockdowns.
    All non-essential travel and business is to be severely and only those who can provide proof of double toques will be allowed outside.
