      Because of the way they are constructed, Randomized Control Trials will never show any benefit for any antiviral against COVID-19. Not Remdesivir, not Kaletra, not HCQ, and not Ivermectin. The reason for this is simple; for the patients that they have recruited for these studies, such as Oxford’s ludicrous RECOVERY study, the intervention is too late to have any positive effect.

      The clinical course of COVID-19 is such that by the time most people seek medical attention for hypoxia, their viral load has already tapered off to almost nothing. If someone is about 10 days post-exposure and has already been symptomatic for five days, there is hardly any virus left in their bodies, only cellular damage and derangement that has initiated a hyperinflammatory response. It is from this group that the clinical trials for antivirals have recruited, pretty much exclusively.

      1. C M, it is straight forward. By the time intervention with an antiviral is used there is little or no virus left to work on so it is assumed they aren’t working. In effect they use the drugs or treatments improperly and too late.

      2. There are a number of drug trials for Covid-19. This is from one of them: “From March 22 to October 4, 2020, a total of 11,330 patients were entered in the trial from 405 hospitals in 30 countries in all six WHO regions. Of these patients, 64 (0.6%) had no, or uncertain, consent to follow-up, which left 11,266 in the intention-to-treat analyses. A total of 2750 patients were assigned to receive remdesivir, 954 to hydroxychloroquine, 1411 to lopinavir (without interferon), 2063 to interferon (including 651 to interferon plus lopinavir), and 4088 to no trial drug (Figure 1); reporting is 97% complete for those who were entered more than 1 month earlier and 99.7% complete for those who were entered more than 3 months earlier. All 3 patients for whom the diagnosis of Covid-19 was later ruled out were included in the analyses and survived. Table 1 shows patient characteristics: 9120 (81%) were younger than 70 years of age, 6985 (62%) were male, 2768 (25%) had diabetes, 916 (8%) were already receiving ventilation, and 7002 (62%) underwent randomization on days 0 or 1. For each drug, patient characteristics were well balanced by the unstratified 1:1 randomization between it and its control. Deaths were at a median of day 8 (interquartile range, 4 to 14), and discharges were at a median of day 8 (interquartile range, 5 to 12).”

        How long would you take to go to the hospital after experiencing symptoms? A day? People continue to shed virus for as long as they have the infection.

We wouldn’t expect mass graves for the vaccine any more than we expect Covid19 mass graves in places with effective medical (non-monopoly) systems. We won’t have a good idea about how many youths are being killed in the next 5 years from myocarditis but my (probably high) estimate was 20 for all highschool students in Calgary a few days ago.

      1. I am particularly interested in the rise of cancers related to the vaccine. I have heard some first person stories that signal a possible serious problem, but the issue is not getting the attention it should. Some people are dismissing these suspicious cases as the result of lack of treatment/ diagnosis because of lock downs, but I am aware of cases where that does not seem to be the problem. I think — like other health issues cropping up– it may relate to damage to the immune system from the experimental vaccines. I just think this is another issue to watch carefully, and careful research needs to be done.

  24. Adventures in masking this morning…..

    Earlier today, I walked over to the nearby Dodge dealership to get my truck.

    Most people who came in my direction passed by me maskless as if things were normal. One woman, also maskless, insisted on walking on the street as she went by. I suspected she’d do that and she had a smug virtue-signalling look on her face as she did.

    A few minutes later, I saw a pair of elderly (unmasked) ladies across the street. One was bundled up in a wheelchair and the other, who was about my age and who I assumed was either a friend or relative, pushed her along. I saw her struggling to get that wheelchair off the street, over the curb, and onto the sidewalk, so I called over and offered to help.

    My offer was graciously accepted, and, in a minute or so, the wheelchair was on the sidewalk. Both ladies were grateful for my assistance.

    As we went our separate ways, I joked that it was good that Deena Hinshaw didn’t catch us without masks. We all had a good chuckle over that.

    1. Your view is simple minded and wishful thinking. The vaccines are not going to get rid of hosts for the virus, as they are not sterilizing vaccines. The vaccines do not keep you from being infected with the virus, and the masks are absolutely pointless.
