      1. Agreed. We’re en route to becoming no better than a South American country like Brazil or Argentina. Sorta free society. Sorta functional economy. Not terribly functional government. Not dirt poor but not exactly prosperous either. Plenty of oligarchs and politically favoured who separate themselves from the rabble. Plenty of corruption too. And no revolutionary spirit among the people to throw it all off and build something better. Just widespread indifference to it all.

        1. @I.M.: … + no sambas/salsas, no carnivals, no sun/beach/bikinis. Just bland grey/wet/cold weather, Prime Moron in the role of Big Brother, Libranos+NDPers in the role of The Party and serfdom for all citizens having the misfortune of being ‘Caucasian-white’ + clear gender.

      2. Tend to agree with you even though I’m a staunch separatist. A sovereign west has the unfortunate reality of being landlocked thus has no way to ship its goods except at the mercies of a fickle and unpredictable US. Faced with that reality most westerners would vote to remain in what’s essentially an abusive but predictable relationship.

        1. Don’t negotiate from a position of weakness.

Old Canada will have lost access to their Pacific gateway, and most of them don’t know where the Panama Canal is. The millennials are not about to build a railway through Yukon/NWT around AB/Sask. then through hapless Manitoba. Vancouver will have a port built for +40 million people, in a country of 5.5 million. They’re not going to be flying new crappy Kias over AB/Sask. either… Which route to both coasts will the pipelines go? Which date will we start construction of these pipelines? Let us know, so the railways though AB/Sask. can open up again. Not the month before, not the year before and wait for another bullshit environmental review. The actual date.

Negotiate from a position of strength.

O’Toole negotiated from a position of weakness, (by flexing to the left) for votes in last month’s federal election, and not nearly enough people fell for it.
Why would anyone want “Liberal lite”? Why would anyone want “Canada lite”?
People came to Canada to be free, and now look at it. What a mess.

          1. @marc in calgary Who will be the PM of Western Canada?
            *Separation

Negotiate from a position of strength? The way things are going in Alberta, Rachel Notley may get to rule there again — unbelievable as that would have seemed a few months ago. It seems unlikely she’ll want to be the first PM of Western Canada.
Democracy only seems work well if the society in which it it being practiced remains stable. Canada is indeed a mess, but Western Canada is no exception.

          2. Do you mean the Chinese-owned Panama Canal?

The scope of malfeasance at all levels IS the game. The average punter is generally incapable of comprehending the scale of the operation.

Masks? The CHINESE-made masks (which seem to be the only flavour available ANYWHERE on the planet? Those masks?

      3. Yup.. And your candidate was another Keebecker, who can barely hanglais.. Frying pan to fire.. Thanks for pissing your vote over to Twinkytoes.

      4. Allan

One cannot disagree with your contention: LAME and Insane. How many times have Alberta/Sask voters elected full slates of SHITCons (nod to Watcher), and ended up eating excrement…??? Damned near forever.

We are already being selected for the Slaughterhouse….and most will willingly go…Just like the Jews did…too f’ing stupid to see things for what they are…believing en masse, what they are being told by their 65″ IDIOT BOX

Working on a Bug out plan…?? best use of your time IMO.
I’ve watched this shitshow through my dad’s eyes….it does not end well.

    1. Alberta separation would be extremely ugly and will take a decade or more from start to finish and would likely entail some level of violence. Ontario and Quebec will not want to lose that money and will fight hard to keep it.

  1. Quebec won’t be embarrassed or feel guilty regarding the leak, they’ll just put on that smug, cheshire smile, and knowingly grin at one another. The tail still wags the cat.

    1. The tail still wags the cat, Jolene?
      No!
The tail wags the dog AND THE WHOLE EFF’N DOGHOUSE!
How sick is this country anyway??
The COLLAPSE of the Reform Party should have given everyone the hint that it was time to go. But no! Let’s do an “Alliance” and everything will be fine. They even allowed a western type to be PM. Briefly! But he spent waaayyyyyy to much time in Ottawa before bceoming PM. About trhat CBC Stevie…
      Time to GTFO!
      Way past time.

  2. We should have deported every single last one of them starting the day after the Plains of Abraham.

    1. Read a little history. Over a 100,000 French settlers and maybe a few thousand English soldiers? Welcome to Canada, land of compromise.

      1. Yeah.. because a few thousand Englishmen in most countries around the world never accomplished anything like that.

Defeatism. The only real Canadian value. Congrats on embracing it.

    2. Britain thought about it, well not exactly, it was parliament that thought about and then hit on the plan to use the habitant’s to put a check on westwards expansion.
They weren’t against colonial expansion, the Spainish still had possessions in North America and they didn’t need to give Spain an excuse to start a war and then sue for peace. So they tabled a law to create Quebec and allowed the native tribes to harass anyone trespassing on “Indian territory”.
After the Revolution the Brit’s looked at Quebec and the Great Lakes basin as a haven to retreat to in anticipation that the new United States would devolve into anarchy. After which those poxy rebels would be begging them to come back and run things properly.
      Think about the time.
The king was in questionable mental health (dementia) and parliament (deep state) passed laws that he or his regents rubber stamped.
      The more things change.
      But I digress.
We’ve about run the course on this peace order and good government meme.
It was set up this way not to preserve a nation (call it Canada or lilliput doesn’t change it) it was to preserve a government based on patronage.
But it cannot be sustained on its own. It needs a strong ally to depend on for those things like national defence and foreign affairs.
When ever Canada has acted independently the government structure starts deconstructing and the patrons get nervous.

  3. I remember when Justine Turdo actually said” The BEST PRIME MINISTERS HAVE COME FROM CUBEK”

Smug little girly sockboy……….Am I the only one that DESPISES THE LITTLE CREEP?? Oh the doorbell is ringing……..MUST be the RCMP because I am talking badly about their fearless leader. Got to go.

  4. Is anyone surprised? I’m not. And maybe that’s their goal, to have Canadians just shrug their shoulders when a demographic gets preferred treatment. Besides, perpetually prickly Quebecers have been playing the “We’re Special” card since Confederation and I think most Canadians have developed a “Forget it Jake, it’s Quebec” attitude.

Certains porcs sont plus égaux que d’autres should be embossed on every Quebec license plate.

    1. Quebec is the best definition of a whore-country: always asking for expensive furs/jewelry/cars/mansion and pretending is faithful but cheating behind your back with whoever provides.

  5. The nurses administering the euthanasia drugs needed them.

Funny how we bash the West and the worst of everything is in the East.

  6. I want to care about this, but since masks are useless in the face of Covid, it bothers me not that they were given to Kebec. Let the frogs wear binkys on their faces if it makes them feel better.

  7. Looks bad, but in fairness, if you go back to that first wave beginning March/April 2020 (when this mask shipment was being arranged), Quebec was already emerging as Canada’s early COVID hotspot and seeing exponential growth even in that last week of March. So strictly from an epidemiological perspective, prioritizing PPE for QC was warranted — during wave one, when every other P/T saw peaks of at most 50 active cases per 100K residents, QC saw a peak of over 350 per 100K.

That said, no doubt public health realities weren’t the only — or even primary — considerations driving this decision within PMO.

    1. Ted, you don’t know shit from shineola. There were and never have never been waves other than on the ocean or the lakes.

    2. Teddy

Waves of False positives right..?? Hundreds and Hundreds of them all used as justification to send all that shit to Quebec.

Blinders on, ear plugs in – eyes Wide SHUT…and a Banana down yer throat…
Where do the Libs find these goofs…??

    1. kakola, you are not the only one who has said that. Two of my friends at the pub I frequent said the same thing. Maybe I will check my account tomorrow. As I have said a few times they will have to kill me face to face.

    2. CPP is not due until tomorrow. They announced the dates at the beginning of the year and I put little stickers in my calendar. The sticker is sitting on Sept 28 not Sept 27.

  8. LET EVERYONE WEAR A MASK, THEY WILL DIE MUCH QUICKER AND IF THEY HAVE THEIR SHOTS, HELL’BELLS, THEY ARE GONE. Kate, I know you took the shots as did many in my family. I hope to hell they don’t take a third and don’t die in the next three years. I have no idea where or how the insanity was ginned up, but I really am an old man and I am not sick. I would hate to outlive my kids and grandkids because they would not listen to an informed old man.

  9. 1. WTF is a covid mask?
    2. I have seen no evidence of a mask shortage where I live, and it ain’t Quebec.
    3. I think Lorrie is full of shit.

  10. There’s a whole bunch more going on than that tweet suggests. First, In April 2020 Quebecers were ordering masks from 3M in the USA and paying a premium for them over Americans and then going down to New York city and selling N95 masks on the black market for huge profits. Manitoba was struggling very hard to get enough masks. While masks were being old to New York on the black market for 414 each, Manitoba gave up on Ottawa and ordered 100,000 masks from 3M directly. Trump got fed up with the black market from Quebec and closed the border to 3M mask exports. Manitoba’s order got caught up in that. Blackie convinced Trump to release Manitoba’s order to him. Trump agreed to let the order go to Ottawa on the promise the contents would not end up being sold on the black market in New York. Trudeau promptly confiscated all the order except for a few hundred that went to Manitoba. Manitoba’s order went to Quebec and Ontario. Trudeau proclaimed his greatness as he handed Manitoba masks to Quebec and Ontario.

  11. We should be thankful, have you ever stood next to a Frenchman and smelled the garlic stinky breath?

  12. A website where at least half its readers have been antimask since day one complains that they’re not getting their fair share of masks. Lol.
