So, Maj-Gen Dany Fortin hand picked by the libranos to head up the logistics of vaccine distribution has now been charged with sexual assault. This apparently stems from allegations from 30 years ago.
Trudeau had Maj-Gen Fortin removed from the vax post amid the allegations and investigated. Nothing came of the investigation and so Dany Fortin sued as his reputation which was exemplary up to the point of removal had been destroyed by apparent baseless allegations.
The libranos (Bongo) were pissed that he wouldn’t stand down. A military man had the temerity to stand up to authority (theirs)? Well, wouldn’t you know it, now a quebek prosecutor has laid a charge.
The Bong and his horribly inept Minister of Defence Harjit Sajjan have been under fire for not acting on allegations of sexual improprieties in the military. Allegations they had known about and failed to act on for years. The military investigation of Maj-Gen Fortin produced no wrong doing.
All this stuff stinks of political interference. The libranos destroyed the career of Vice-Admiral Mark Norman with groundless allegations and were sued successfully by him. Now they are after Maj-Gen Fortin.
