  1. Somebody should strap about 100 lbs of concrete to the assholes leg and show him the bottom of a dugout.
Where does Canada get all the idiot, loser fucked up politicians and how do they gain control.
Does no one research any of their backgrounds. Should they not have to have medical evaluations and psych evaluations like normal citizens applying for jobs.

    1. The answer is a resounding yes. And they meet all of the appropriate criteria to a T. You think BP is anything but a completely compromised psychopath ? JT ? DF ? Their backgrounds are well known by all the right people.

    2. Hey, a loser fucked up politician can’t get elected all by himself.

The front men are actually quite irrelevant. A more relevant question, is how many voters are simply going to stick with the Manitoba PCs, regardless of level or number of betrayals. Those voters are your real problem.

  2. Can anyone here with an insight in Manitoba politics read the tea leaves with respect to his replacement and what that might look like?

    1. Indeed …. as difficult to believe as it is Pallisters replacement might be someone nuttier and more incompetent than he!
Unfortunately it likely will be a commie lite woke loon 🙁

      1. There are no Conservative politicians in Canada.. maybe there never has been… Can anyone name a true Conservative Politician in Canada the last 50 years…

        1. Hasn’t been one for even longer than that. Diefenbaker was a socialist. He and Pearson competed to see who could go farther left. Pearson won when he pulled PET from the NDP to take his place.

          1. Actually, we have Lucien Rivard, or, actually, a certain prison guard, to thank for inflicting PET on us.

Rivard was a petty criminal and he broke out of jail in a way that not even Hollywood could invent. It was spring breakup at the time and he asked a guard for a garden hose so that he could pour himself a skating rink. The guard complied but Rivard used the hose to climb over the wall.

The result was a national scandal and a political black eye for Pearson. In response, Justice Minister Guy Favreau fell on his sword and resigned. Pearson was anxious to have a Quebec presence in his cabinet, so he promoted 3 MPs from that province (the so-called “3 Wise Men”): Gerard Pelltier, Jean Marchand, and guess who?

The rest, as is often said, is history. Thanks for nothing to whoever that guard was. Who’d have thought that an ordinary garden hose would eventually bring down an entire country?

  3. I’m having trouble comprehending what was it about his comments that was deemed so offensive. Immigrants did come to this country to build it. Why are people so triggered over that? Honestly and sincerely, could someone please explain this dynamic? To me, it sounds a lot like Cancel Culture at work, unless I’m missing something.

Mind you… I won’t be shedding any tears for the authoritarian, but I am curious as to what it was about his comments that pissed people off.

    1. The left is blaming his resignation on his comments but if you read the comments and read his final sort of apology, that is just leftist spin. The way Manitoba handled the pandemic, especially the vaccine mandates have caused so much resentment and anger that strong regular loyal conservatives are so pissed off they would happily take the NDP back if that was the price if getting rid of Pallister. The idea is a new person, fresh, not connected with lockdowns and vaccine passport might have q chance to retain power.

  4. I’m unable to comment or vote on other comments on National Post like I used to be able to, and I don’t know why.
I’m signed in, turned my ad blocks off, still nothing.
It’s been going on for a few days now.

  5. At least now he can thank God for the rain in Costa Rica when asked about everyone’s favourite Covid drug.

  6. I am tempted to hope that Doug Fraud will follow suit, but I seriously worry who would replace him.

At the Federal level we have Bernier and Sloan who offer at least somewhere to park a protest vote, but in Ontario, what is there? Perhaps Hillier and Baber will form an Ontario version of Sloan’s party, and maybe Sloan will also run assuming he fails to get elected federally. We need something, DF has been an unqualified disaster.

The prospect of Horwath is too horrible to contemplate.

    1. It just does not matter in Canada in the UNIPARTY INTERCHANGABLE PSYCOPATHIC UNION.
We can not ever vote our way out of this mess ever.
Canada has been a Penal Colony Since 1867 just never been called that openly.
It is a Fake Democracy, were the Elected Queeny Thingie makes all decisions with the wave of his hand.
He is not held to any legal standard. Maybe if he was caught on film sawing somebody up with a handsaw, they might censure him a little bit. Confine him to Harrington Lake until the crooked media could polish his image again.
Kind of like how Chretien was caught stealing 500M plus in Adscam but got to pick his own Liberal judge and talk about golf balls.
And what a genius he was.
Canada is a Pathetic joke and anyone who thinks we should try and continue the Canadian Gulag is beyond stupid.
Canada where taxes take more of the average families income than they are allowed to keep for the bare necessities of life. Food, Clothing Shelter.
      Break It Up.

  7. The culture of wokeness is so strong, so entrenched, stubborn, vicious and ugly in the one-time civilized world’s politics these days that there is no room anymore for common sense. Any hint of weakness in our leaders will trigger a barrage of the current standard bullying and persecution by the woke. It’s not a wonder that very few people of substance and sense seeks political office these days. It’s not a wonder that Donald Trump has appeal, mostly for his refusal to bow to this malevolent scourge.

  8. I don’t blame him.
How would you like to look at Wobbly Canoe every day across the way.
All you people that want Ford, Pallister and Kenny out better be careful what you ask for.

  9. Who said there’s no free lunch. This turkey has enough time in for the gold plated pension. So the rest of you coolies can piss off.

    Go WEXIT

  10. Glad he’s gone, sad it’s for a comment that makes complete sense when he has said so much other nonsense. He will probably replaced with an even more not conservative. Even good news is bad news these days.

  11. I just read THIS in the piece on him in the National Post: “Pressure for his exit recently began to mount after he came under fire for comments he made about Canadian history. He apologized last week for saying in July that people who came to Canada before and after it became a country did not come to destroy but to build.”

At what point when I was distracted by Covid did the National Post de-evolve into the Toronto Star 2.0?????

Also while we’re at it, other than (1) “money-losing vanity project for billionaire who bailed them out” (NYT, WaPo, the Atlantic) or (2) “sanctimoniously wrapped themselves in the flag and – all tears and flapdoodle – successfully lobbied government for a taxpayer-funded subsidy” (virtually ALL Canadian MSM), I have absolutely NO CLUE why the legacy media exist in the year 2021 (but maybe I just answered my own question).

  12. If the PC party wants to survive, they have to realize that like Kurt Schlichter said “now is the time of the winnowing”. No squishes. Someone who is all in for the people. Ron DeSantis of the north, no others need apply. Or, Bob Rae. Manitoba’s choice.

Manitoba can ignore the CBC, the National Post, the Grift and Flail, and all the rest. Or they can bring Cuomo up for a try at running the place. Their choice. Maybe Kathleen Wynne, or McSquinty wants a go. Maybe Trudeau will retire from federal politics and give provincial a try.

  13. Don’t let the door hit you on your ass on the way out, you POS Pallister.

CTV News Winnipeg ran the name of Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman as a candidate to replace Pallister.
    LOL!
Bowman was pimped to Winnipeg by Charles Adler, just before he left for the left, and Vancouver. Bowman is another grievance industry Liberal.
I am not looking forward to Premier Wife Beater Kinew further destroying Manitoba’s economy, as Pallister, the disaster, has pretty well nuked his successor winning the next Provincial election.

  14. Funny thing, it was his statement regarding the ‘builders’ of the once great nation that got him to leave when his lock-down garbage should have been ‘The Issue’ that would drag him down. My parents were some of those Builders! They worked hard, employed many people and made life better for those that worked for them and with them – many of which were ‘natives!’
What we have is a media hell bent on tarnishing anything and everything that departs from their narrative. ( are ya listening, Danielle Smith??)
Funny thing, this is not unlike the Cuomo thing down south. The issue in New York should have been the disastrous treatment of so many in the old age homes. Rather it was his treatment of the women in his circle as governor.
I am not saying BP should have been allowed to continue, just that what the media chooses as the NARRATIVE is NOT to be toyed with! Do not get in their way! They know what is important and have more than 2 billion Canadian dollars to prove it.

  15. Remember, it was PallHitler who gleefully and tearfully boasted about how MB lockdowns were the harshest and most punitive in the Country, mostly all done to try and win over the wing nut, libtards in Winnipeg. Most who consider the NDP as right wing. Good riddance to the megalomaniac, lying, crying Brian.

  16. If that statement, required an apology,we need to ask our Presstitutes some questions.
If our Great Grand parents did not “Come here to build” That somehow being a wacist statement, then what do they imagine those ancestors did come to ,what became Canada, for?
    Why were they here?

    Let them tell us.
Cause if it was to subjugate the stone age people, murder them all and steal the land, they certainly give our ancestors no points for competency.
Now these were hard nosed survivalists who survived and prospered.
    If their intent was as these crybabies insist,the logical question becomes;
    “How do you exist?”

Are you saying our Grandparents, who built this infrastructure you leech off of,were inept?
That Genocide they are being tarred with, pretty useless attempt for people who damn near exterminated the wolves, the bears and the cougars..

Now in Can Ahh Duh,the Prime Minister is on the record stating that we are a “Genocidal Country”..
    OK.
    Next question,
How can I in good conscious continue to pay taxes?
For I cannot support a “Genocidal Government”,and paying taxes is how we support the parasitic Overload..
So providing support to a Genocidal Government, is condoning and participating in said genocide…
Love to force our media and church leadership to answer that one.

    1. Is there anything that this dumb-assed drongo hasn’t accused Canadians outside of Quebec of doing?

Remember how we shouldn’t have large-scale construction projects because all the workers do is go into nearby towns and rape the womenfolk there? Now he’s accusing immigrants, such as my parents and me, of coming to Canada solely for the purpose of massacring and scalping Indians. (Odd that I haven’t found any Indian scalps amongst the effects that I inherited. I guess Papa BADR must have chucked them out years ago, eh?)

Is there no politician in this country who’s willing to stand up to Justin Obama (or is it Barack Trudeau) and tell him to bugger off once and for all?

    2. Many of our grandparents, newlyweds at that, were dropped of by the train in the middle of nowhere prairies (that no one else wanted) with all their worldly possessions in hand, looking around at the vast nothingness, got to work to not only survive, but thrive in their newly chosen homeland.

      1. Yup….my grandparents came in 1912 from the US. Settled 95 miles away from the one and only Northern Alberta Railroad. So, no stores, no schools, no hospital, no nothing. Just your shovel, plow and backbreaking work – with 12 kids to feed and clothe!
Wow – were they daft or what!! I guess so as they came to BUILD this country, not BILK it like so many of our current “immigrants” are here for.
