    Why … people would actually be living according to MLK Jr.’s DREAM … of judging people by the content of their character (or shitty PK as the case may be).

  2. I’ve never watched American baseball, football, basketball, whatever. Nor any other ‘soccerfootball’. I’ll occasionally watch when the Jets are playing, and sometimes with the Bombers or Riders. That’s it. I don’t even plan on watching any Olympics. I would much rather weed the flower beds, overhaul a 1959 Viking 5hp outboard, wash the van, refinish a gun stock, sort my sock drawer, paint the kitchen, tune up the snow blower, go for a bike ride, do agility training with my terrier, etc. I’ve got a life to live – to waste it watching others, not my cup of tea.

  5. Speaking of cultural appropriation I was shocked today when I saw the live band that sings this 1974 top 5 funk rock hit “Come and Get Your Love”.
    They were fairly talented, but that wasn’t the surprise. The song starts 45 seconds in, after the dance that doesn’t seem to be related in any way to the song. I was never good at dance interpretation.

    Last truly great Hockey game I watched Besides Can VS Russia ’72, was the I believe 1976 New Years Game between Team USSR and the Montreal Canadians – only time I ever cheered the HABS….and it was a barn burner.
    The subsequent game in Philly was awesome too…LOL.

    Since then, meh…tried to keep up my love of hockey after the Flames Cup in 04 was literally STOLEN…my fervor has slowly died as I see its apparently always the FANS who must pay for new Arena’s. Screw that noise..!!

    I watched an NFL game once bout 5 yrs ago with some ignorant Black player taking a knee…WTF.?? Then when the Vid hit, and I noted the SPECIAL allowances for Multi Millionaires Players..?? – Twas the final Straw – jerseys sold, bank account sealed….wont even partake in the Juniors either.

    Olympics..? Who cares….its gone the same way into abject Leftist WOKE idiocy.
    Nope, much prefer to be out Camping at the lake, swimming and enjoy a few cold ones by the Campfire with wife n my girls and their beau’s…

  9. Has anyone watched any government announcement where the background area is occupied with a small group of mindless, brain-dead supporters, clapping and smiling wildly, pretending to be engrossed and enthused in the speaking politician?

    Add fireworks, masks, and an empty stadium and you get what the Tokyo Olympic Opening Ceremony ended up looking like. I could only watch about ten minutes. The only ten minutes these Olympics will get from me.

    At least Kim Jong-Il fills North Korean stadiums for his “patriotic games.”
