Outdoor maximum table size remains at eight people, but opening hours will be extended to midnight and the requirement to buy food when ordering alcohol is being scrapped.

Just do some research on alcohol rules in Manitoba.
Can’t have a “beverage room’ license unless it is part of a hotel. Can’t have windows that allow people to see inside any “beverage room”/night club/lounge. Serving glasses have to be a certain size.
Etc. etc. etc.
It is what bureaucracy does. Make work for more bureaucrats.
Gather outdoors in a group of seven (but not more than 10), unless part of the immediate household, when the humidity is less than 40%, but only in Zone 3a, when zone is in Code Yellow, Phase 3. If all are part of the immediate household then social distance can be lowered from two metres to one metre, except when average wind speed is less than 5 km/hr.
Is the 40% humidity thing an exaggeration? Sounds like doing the hokey pokey at any rate.

I managed a restaurant in Manitoba in the early 80’s and all beer glasses were required to have a line painted or etched on to show the amount of beer allowed in the glass. Servers had to bring the shot glass of spirits to the table and show it to the customer before pouring it into a glass. The list goes on…

this information is good news in quebec and altogether encouraging – last week was the first week in quebec since the beginning of this * farking great * (call it what you will) that no deaths (zero) were recorded related to the virus. i also noticed that the high court of spain dropped a judgement stating the lockdowns were unconstitutional. that’s probably little consolation for anyone looking at the wide open barn doors.

I am in rural MB where most blindly accept all govt. decrees without question, but a few are waking up. Yesterday I had to go to Winnipeg for an appointment and everyone, 100% of the people I saw outside on the streets were wearing a mask and appeared to be focusing all their attention on avoiding anyone else. By the way almost 75% of the sheep in MB have had the shot and Pallister hopes to hit 80% with this weeks “vax-a-thon”.
