  5. That was cool. How many of those old ones are still standing. The tracks are mostly long gone. How many have gone down like the last one?

    1. I worked at that one in the 70’s. I was a grain handler which meant I maneuvered a long chute into the holds of the lakers (large vessels that moved cargo across the Great Lakes). After securing the boom to the open hatch we would sit around for a few hours while the hold filled with grain. Then we would move to the next hatch and repeat. My first time with a union job. It was only one of two union jobs I held. I couldn’t be that lazy so at the end of that summer I found something more productive to do.

    However, there seems to be a lot in New York City’s Mayoral Democratic Party Primary…

    The “wrong” Democrat was winning the primary. He supports the police. By amazing coincidence, an extra 135,000 ballots were found to be “incorrectly” added into the vote count. The election is now in chaos and results won’t be released until mid- to late-July.

  17. The media are reporting another Catholic church burning this morning, in Morinville, Alberta. This seems like a larger church, totally destroyed, and one not located on an Indian reservation.

    1. This church is a big part of the history of Morinville. Built at the turn of the last century and has been a landmark since. Was a beautiful structure and loved hearing the bells every noon. Have attended weddings and funerals there many times over the years. Heartsick.

  19. The Pennsbury School District in Pennsylvania wants to teach Critical Race Theory in the district’s classrooms. A lot of parents objected at School Board Meetings. The District has a policy called “Public Participation in Board Meetings” which gives the presiding officer the power to ;

    “Interrupt or terminate a participant’s statement when the statement is too lengthy, personally directed, abusive, obscene, or irrelevant.

    Request any individual to leave the meeting when that person does not observe reasonable decorum.

    Request the assistance of law enforcement officers to remove a disorderly person when his/her conduct interferes with the orderly progress of the meeting.

    Call a recess or adjourn to another time when the lack of public decorum interferes with the orderly conduct of the meeting.”

    In regards to the last bunch of unmarked graves, I think 751. If this site is on the reserve, how is it no one knows more about it? There aren’t members over 60 who remember the use? If the school is closed is not the property up to the natives to maintain etc. I think everyone knows every school will have some kind of graveyard, and if not maintained or markers rebuilt of course they will become unmarked. I would think there are unmarked graves all across the country for many people, the 1800’s were a tough time. (just asking, not pretending I know)

She states immigrants like her are a benefit to Turtle Island, because she and they came to improve Canada, while white “settlers” came here to invade Indian lands and murder the natives. According to her, white Canadians should not be able to sleep at night for what they have done. Its a good thing Justin is prime minister.

  35. Canadian Press reports on a panel that has concluded that racism is hindering economic growth in Northern Ontario. The panel states among other things that there are too many white people in the region.
