  2. a repeat from a dead thread. pre-apologize for my culture? Not a chance, particularly when those who benefit from it refuse to admit they owe a debt for the good it has done.

    The way to fight white supremacy is to boycott items developed by white people, and derivatives including transportation methods using things invented by white people.

    Like home delivered electricity. Both AC and DC power generation. And the internal combustion engine. And the jet engine. And the supertanker. And the liquid fuel rocket. And the cotton Jenny. And the mechanical loom. And programmable computing machines (and their latest derivatives, cell phones and tablet computers). And the refrigerator and freezer. And anything with transistors.

    So either take yourselves back to the bronze age, or GFY about white supremacy.

    So much has been shared with the clueless at such a low cost that they don’t recognize how well they have it.

    2. The way to fight “white supremacy” is to not emigrate to white countries. Stay in your own country, among your own people, or move back to where your ancestors came from and it will solve all your problems. It’s pretty hypocritical to emigrate to a white country because it is so much better than the place your people came from hen whine and bitch about it.

      1. I don’t think that that’s the answer either because it’s not about colour. If someone comes to the melting pot nation then they accept that it’s a melting pot and should become part of the society. And we welcome them, as my ancestors were welcomed by those who had come before.

        It might have originally been English/Scottish when setting the rules, but it expanded to include Nordic and Germanic and Slavic and Roman cultural descendants and many sub-communities from Asian and Indian and African and so on… all of them contributing to the whole once they’ve joined. Not everyone started from the same level, and the equality of access that I think is the key to our being a successful society has only been around for 50 years or so.

        Those who are (or become) racist are rejecting the melting pot society and should forfeit the benefits that it has accumulated.

    3. Canadian cable companies have been pushing an advertisement about how black people can only get roles of criminals. I’d file a complaint but the Federal agency monitoring “truth n advertising” cannot get its own act together.
      I have never seen Sidney Portier in anything but good guy roles. He must really be white.
      As for the asshole in the advertisement, he is just another incompetent thinking he should get the best positions simply because of the colour of his skin.

Funny how Bernier gets arrested for violating virus restrictions, but thousands can ignore restrictions. Remember, if you have a social justice cause you are exempt.           1. BA, Really? Is that his actual birthday? I know not what day he was born, so assuming you posted correctly, or assuming I read, and understood it correctly, then it all makes sense. Christians have always said that Christ would come again, and the sock monkey, if born on December 25th, will have considered that he is the anointed one. From his twisted perspective, it would make sense.

            Fortunately, some real luminaries were also born on December 25, such as Sir Isaac Newton, and actors Humphrey Bogart and Sissy Spacek, so the day has not been totally ruined.

    2. DS, We in the west were originally on the path to inherit the wealth and beauty of this planet. The elite then realized that we are consuming planetary resources that they want to preserve for their families and progeny. Because we in the west are more advanced than other areas of the planet, we are also more of a threat to them. The less fortunate of the third world will be so much more pliable at the planned reduced population numbers than we in the west would ever be. They want to enjoy using those resources, while not needing to be looking over their shoulders for us resisting, and taking back what they are now trying to steal. There is a reason that they want us gone, and for the third world’s then remaining dregs to be used to replace us as a servant class to them, for their lives would be improved from where their lives are now, so they would be owning nothing and still be happy in their servitude. Us? Not so much!

    With respect to your reference to the theme of the movie Topkapi in yesterday’s tips thread, the composer Manos Hatzidakis (note the correct spelling of his surname) is perhaps better known for his music for Never on Sunday. Both movies starred Melina Mercouri, who later served in the Greek parliament.

      Yes, I read info about Melina Mercouri last night. Also, listened to most of the score from “Topkapi.”

      I remember the adults in the 1960 era liked Mercouri’s music. I did too, sort of, because I was exposed to everything, as the Europeans living nearby, played her albums.

      It appears Manos Hatzidakis (or Hadjidakis) does have a couple of spellings for his surname. (according to Wikipedia). Perhaps in the Greek language, a “t” is pronounced like “d.”  We both might be correct, however I just copied the link, as it was, so there it appeared. Regardless, Manos’s music is superb and the 1960 movie, “Never On Sunday” made Melina Mercouri famous. I remembered seeing it on TV. It’s online now:

    1. The Arizona audit is really heating up. Decertification could set the election fraud dominos tumbling. I believe the percentage of Americans who think the election was stolen is up to 52%. I expect it to climb higher.
