On Olympic cycling and its terrible, terrible “whiteness”…
I’m unfamiliar with Ms Dygert or her views, but the sole, supposedly damning, example of her “transphobia” is her liking of the statement “Men who identify as women are not actually women.” This does not strike me as phobic, or scandalous, or indeed inaccurate. And for a female athlete to prefer competing against other women, i.e., fairly, should not be controversial – in a sane world. As for alleged racism, the only evidence provided is the liking of a tweet that says, “White privilege doesn’t exist; good choice privilege does.” But even to dispute woke conspiracy theories is, it turns outs, itself proof of racism and a basis for “disgust,” which seems enormously convenient, for the accuser, and must save a lot of time. And so, this liking of a tweet is framed as, “an expression of the violent normality of anti-Black racism in the world.”
Which is in no way hyperbolical or ludicrous, obviously.
I think they are all nuts.
I’m not on Twitter (never have been) … but I, too, LIKE the ‘Tweet’: “White privilege doesn’t exist; good choice privilege does.”
And the good news is that I will NEVER apologize for saying so.
Can we start referring to this derangement as woke vigilantism.

Speaking of the Olympics, here’s hoping that the Japan Olympics are canceled, and the China Olympics are boycotted. The Olympics establishment are a bunch of crooks.
In a recent edition of John Batchelor’s show, it was suggested that the hockey tournament at the Chinese Winter Olympics might be tampered with. In other words, the North Americans and northern Europeans would inevitably dominate in the medals and the Chinese team will be humiliated if things were left alone.
However, if the Chinese do lose, and lose badly, that would be an embarrassment to Xi Jinping and President Winnie-the-Pooh would not be happy about that. (I have visions of him dispatching the entire team to Xinjiang where they would spend the rest of their lives producing cheap consumer junk alongside Uyghurs.)
So, in order to lose face, there won’t be a, say, 20 – 0 win for the Swedes over the Chinese. Nope. If the Chinese, say, score at least one goal, they’ll be considered to have won the game, or something like that.
Or, everybody just gets a gold participation medal.
That wouldn’t work because China, and only China, must emerge triumphant. It would never do to share the same standing with the running dogs of capitalism.
And, bicycle wheels, WHY do they ALWAYS have to be round?
Perhaps we have misidentified the virus coming from the bats in Wuhan, perhaps it has been rabies all along. I sure do see a lot of people wandering around foaming at the mouth and acting crazy.

It’s not about race, but about culture.
The point of the Church of Woke, is not rational beliefs that are supported by objective reality. It is not logically consistency, or the avoidance of paradox. The purpose of the Church of Woke, is to make everyone as angry as possible. The angrier, the better. The more time they spend being angry, the better.

The whole point, is to get people angry enough that they willingly take part in public lynchings. That they willingly initiate public lynchings. That they are angry enough, that they are willing to execute their own parents or children.
In the world of Woke there can be no losers so why bother training let alone having competitions of any kind?
It is predetermined that the ‘losers’ will be honkies; if they excel in any undertaking it will immediately be attributed to unfairness of some/any description.

Too early to celebrate we have a grifter in BC who wants to bring the winter games back-you remember them, the one where the bobsled track was only half usable, and they had to truck in snow to the ski events from a hundred miles away. Oh canaduh!

Many comments that I read in the article seemed to state that the magazine is a woke, lefty publication so not much surprise there.
I’m a bicyclist and have been enjoying Calgary’s bike path system for decades, I’ve noticed quite a few very fit black cyclists burning up the paths lately, they have good gear, quality bikes, they’re very dark so I assume they are likely recent immigrants, there’s also plenty of south Asians and Orientals riding, my personal impression from a lot of regular riding is that recreational cycling is as diverse as society in general. Not that I pay much attention to that or give it much thought, just an impression that has sunk in over time.
