People are Getting Dumber

It’s not your imagination.

What My Soviet Life Has Taught Me About Censorship and Why It Makes Us Dumb

Over the past year, as I have watched instances of American censorship multiply, and extend to speech, books, movies, opinions and plain facts, memories from those early years of my American life, when I first began to grapple with the consequences of living under censorship, have resurfaced. I have been flabbergasted to watch the staff of publishing houses become enraged over the publication of authors they disagree with, designate those works as harmful and demand that they be “cancelled.” I have been utterly perplexed to discover that some California schools have banned venerable classics such as Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men and Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, because of concerns about their use of racial slurs and stereotypes.

  1. Has anyone done any research to find who leads the way on what is to be cancelled?.I youed to listen to CKNW back in their better years when they had good call in programmes. You would get people being interviewed that were heads of “organizations’ putting forth opinions on one topic or another. I never once heard an interviewer ask what I thought was an inportant question.. “How many members in your group?”.. I think many times it was Karen and her cat… But I think many of the ‘cancels” being put forward today are probably a Soros financed person, and in many cases thats all it would take is one person with a computer. And the damage they are doing to the Western Society is impossible to quantify.

  2. Apparently nothing stops racism quicker than banning anti-racist books. People are way stupider.

  3. The Russians learned many, many things from being the lab rat of the globalists for 75 years.

The globalists want to make damn sure nobody in the West learns any of it.

    1. Well Buddy,he did say he was a Liberal.
I thought that last paragraph, which you caused me to reread, was written to himself.

Interesting read,I like and it prompted a picture that I had not thought of recently..

As we develop and grow, knowledge expands, our view of everything changes with us.
We are overwhelmed with life’s beauty, choices so rich we dither, reality is rich and immense.
      As we learn to see..

If you are a small miserable soul, who is yet to be comfortable with your own insignificance..Then the demand:
“Make the world Smaller”,might must be a logical response.

This same “smallness” is why the “Scientific Method” is so un-comforting.
We believe we know, only to turn another corner and expose a question we never knew of,shattering the cards of knowledge.

Then we plod away, building another house, with the new cards, just to have it fall before knew information and questions..

This is no way to have faith and certainty.
Hence we have invented “The Science”,in which we can believe, regardless of the evidence..

      Humans?
      We are too funny.

So the Woke are actually the awaking, throwing a temper tantrum because the reality they are awakening to,contains more things than their tiny little delusions and denial of reality is their religion and defence mechanism.

      These people fear.
Fear is truly the mind killer.
The worst of these fanatics are probably those who see ,yet reject what their eyes tell.
Akin to religious fanatics blinding themselves “For the Glory of God”..

      Well it is Sunday.
      And it fits.
God,Reality,Everything..just our words, words that fail to paint the totality.
And tunnel vision is a real thing.
      I know.
The confusion of a common language be upon you.

Each word is a picture ,an encapsulation of the immense, into a code we can exchange quickly.
For we are hurried little creatures, with short lives and shorter attention spans.

How ever, the picture differs from person to person, background details are important.
As an example I give you a universal word'”Bread”.
Pretty simple concept, every tribe has it in one form or another..

So what “picture” forms in your mind’s eye, when you hear “Bread”.?

      White and sliced?
      Brown and sliced?
      Homebaked oven bricks?
      Breadmaker loaf?
      Risen or flat?

For here is the censors nightmare.
They are so small, miserable and stupid, that there can only be one meaning of a word.
      And they choose .
Odd how the most perverse interpretation is always their go to..?

Time to bring back duelling, for even a round through the vacuum above these shoulders,,Can only expand these minds.

      1. We have to cling to a few small things like our guns and Bibles or we WILL lose our tiny minds. As to your question about bread, I will have to say all of them and some that might not be called bread. And yes, people are getting dumber. It is astounding just how dumb and passive the average person has become. Now put on your mask and take the poison.

      2. Liberal has a whole different meaning than actual liberal.
Look at the so called “Liberal Party of Canada”
If you recognize that there is nothing, in fact, liberal about that party, you know stuff.

Look up liberal as in classic liberal.
Today those here that call themselves conservatives are in fact liberal people.
The definitions in dictionaries are completely written by socialist or communists, would be totalitarian dictators, so watch out for that.
The so called “Conservative Party of Canada” is altogether is a whole different ball of wax.
In fact the three largest parties are competing on constant bases who would be the most socialist.

        1. The Liberal party, per se, is now two factions, the traditional Liberals who loot and pillage the country for their own self-interest but always taking a p[aternalistic approach to Canadians. The other is the new Wateermelon ideologues and fellow profiteers who believe governments are a force for their ideology and the populace must be bent to their causes, and hand over their money. No room for “traditional” here, is the Gerald Butts.

  4. Great list proving big government is bad government mostly because it’s run by by ignoramuses trying to keep us that way:

“Of course, America is not the Soviet Union, and American governmental bodies aren’t the ones doing the censoring. Nor have the clampdowns on dissent been all-encompassing. But they are still enormously effective, partly because so many groups and individuals now depend heavily on privately owned internet platforms to reach their audiences. The conservative social media platform Parler was effectively silenced when Big Tech wiped it off the internet. The New York Post’s audience was massively curtailed when Twitter froze its account in response to its publication of a damaging story about Hunter Biden on the eve of the US presidential election. (Twitter then tagged the story as “harmful” and joined Facebook in preventing people from sharing it.) For a year and a half, people were ridiculed and kicked out of polite company for suggesting that Covid-19 may have originated in a lab in Wuhan as social media muzzled debate on this crucial subject. Today we are learning that this is a highly realistic hypothesis.”

And that’s just in the last year or so.

Yes, they are demonstrably negligent political hucksters, but I do not share the author’s cautious optimism voters will come out of their slumber in time, given their tolerance for economic pain and leaking liberty, but even if they do, they will be weakened further as the powers of coercion and censorship will have strengthened, as the ruling class builds their courts.

  5. Coming to Canada with the governments C-10 the CRTC will be the monitors. How Canadians have become dumbed down, pay them not to work…not to think give them drugs and they are in la la land. I Do Not recognize my Canada!!

  6. It is by design. Stupid people are easier to control. Frightened people, are easier to control. Isolated people, are easier to control.

  7. I can’t even finish the article. I completely understand where the Russian lady comes from and where we are going to.

  8. Leaders in absurdity need to take to the stage and mock Liberals relentlessly, I think they used to be called “Comedians” in the before times?
