    1. By “unstable ones”, you mean the cops who will arrest you for non-compliance?

    2. Not sure about that. A couple of guys I know who are rocks have cracked under the pressure of holding up families, businesses, friends, colleagues, etc. No one is bullet proof under these communist regimes.

  1. I wonder if a hacker will make one that instructs people to run their cars in closed garages and sit in the driver’s seat for 2 hours, as a sure-fire way to defend yourself from the wuflu.

  2. …and people wonder why I defanged the Emergency Alert app by disabling its SMS permissions.

  3. Despite all the lectures from scumbag politicians it looks like people here on southern Vancouver Island are enjoying a nice long weekend.

  4. They’re the mental health crisis.

With few exceptions, our masters are dangerous lunatics, people a sane society would keep under lock and key until a cure was found for whatever was wrong with them.

Relatively harmless afflictions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder can be treated with medication nowadays. Thing is, such afflictions are mostly a threat to the sufferer.

Our rulers are sociopaths, the psychiatrist’s despair. No pill will cure them. The only treatment that does much good is keeping them in a closed institution where they can be trained to be well-behaved prisoners.

    1. Rulers have always been sociopaths. What kind of mind does it take to say “Hmmm, I’d like to take a percentage of everybody’s wealth, regularly, and also tell them what they can and cannot do.” Try to tell folk their favorite ruler is a sociopath, and they go all wonky on ya. Trump was a wee bit of an anti-ruler: “Hmmm, I’d like to take less of their money, and reduce my ability to tell them what to do.”, cutting taxes and gutting over 15000 regs. But, even if we multiplied Trumps achievements by 10, we’d still be less free than the subjects of Caligula.

      1. Someone said, don’t recall who, that the worst thing about tyranny was the arbitrariness of it all. with all the regulations, constantly changing as well, I understand that comment.

    2. I put it to you that democracy actually selects for sociopaths as leaders, worse than a monarchy does, although, the theory is, we can always vote out a true tyrant. Hows that workin’ out?

      1. YeahWell, I will go you one better….
The powers of this world select for the evil ones who desire darkness and its attendant plethora of evil manifestations.
Democracy, in its pure form, was an attempt to counter such enormity of the sociopathic strain of elite evil.
Of the people, for the people, by the people. Still an unrealized ideal, due in most part by the fact that the people are, sadly, the unthinking masses, easily led, and, in the bent minds of the sociopaths, better off dead.
Cynic mode now disabled. Drinky poo?

  5. The problem is obviously the size of government. Too many people with really really great ideas about how government can be even more awesome than it already is.
To regular folks however, it’s indistinguishable from being a useless pest.

    1. This is where Libitarianism comes in. The only way to prevent tyranny and corruption in government is to severely limit its perview.

      1. You can have ‘Open borders’ or a ‘Welfare state’ but you cannot have both.

  6. One thing CCP flu has shown us is that there is not a single CONSERVATIVE POLITICIAN IN CANADA. They are all NAZI POS. Never vote CON.

    1. Lib/Con/NDP is the uniparty of Canada. The sad fact is, even Max and the Maverick are to the left of Obama. I’m voting for Mad Max again, under the questionable “use it or lose it” principle.

      1. This is where Libitarianism comes in. The only way to prevent tyranny and corruption in government is to severely limit its perview. Max is a good choice.

  7. Surprised that the alert was signed off with “Have a miserable weekend.”

      1. The 400 north is ALWAYS jammed in Vaughn at rush hour. Looks like rebel news is using the same tactics (aka misleading information) as the main stream media to make a point. Disappointing

  8. F**k right off Cryin’ Brian Pallister!

    1. Yeah.
What’s the deal with the crocodile tears?
He’s giving Trudeau a run for his money in the melodrama olympics.
Or is he cracking under pressure like Doug Ford?

  9. Doncha know, we are all in this together, and if we can just get through the long weekend we can get back to normal. At the time of the “EMERGENCY”, there are 56 active ICU cases in the entire Province. I immediately sent an email off to Herr Pallister and his so-called Health Minister, to let them know they are abusing the EBS and whoever authorized it should be fired.
These people are sick and need to be removed.

  10. I just about threw my phone against the wall when I got that alert. My coworker was hoping to spend his 50th birthday with kids and grandkids at his cabin. Now it is not happening. My kid went camping with the neighbours. See how that will end up.

  11. It doesn’t remind me of some future distopia like Farenheit 451, with public announcements reminding the population to remain at home, it IS some future distopia with public announcements reminding the population stay at home.

“Consumption Unit #4569901AM, report immediately to the health authorities”.

  12. Did they call to remind you about the email telling you about the upcoming tweet to tell you about the emergency alert?
