A Stanley Cup for the Talentless

Steyn

Whether you have the best written constitution on the planet (the US) or you have an unwritten constitution (the UK) or you have a constitution that is no more or less than an act of the Imperial Parliament (Canada) or you’ve had 157 constitutions since 1789 (France), we’re all heading off the cliff. And it may be that for some, when we’re all splattered among the rocks at the bottom, which dead society had the best constitution may afford a certain pleasure in our final moments. But to some of us it’s like re-arranging the premium seating lounge on the Titanic.

  1. “All this is happening under the allegedly most conservative premier in Canada” w.r.t. the Calgary Police hauling that preacher off to a squad car with a show of force on the highway.

How, just HOW, did Albertans let themselves be conned into supporting that jackass to unite their conservative parties? For a populace that is the supposed bastion of conservative thought in this country, they have done an outright TERRIBLE job at their provincial level for at least a decade now, and they’re going to end up handing the keys to the premier’s office back to Notley on a silver platter.

Independence? Not in this generation. If ever.

Ah, fook it. We’re all going down anyway. There are no serious leaders to be had in this country of fools.

    1. Canadians no longer have conservative values, even in the west it’s “Meh, just give me my free stuff, and all I have to do is join the groupthink”.
Even with a strong conservative leader, who would they lead?

      1. Notice anyone showing any backbone is demoted, chastised or booted out.
This lack of leadership is by design…

        1. No, if you show the CORRECT amount of backbone, they let you stay. Hence the laughable astroturfers who are still to this day railing against Bernier (“he’s not a team player”), but simultaneously praising “the braves” of Poilievre and Rempel.

It is interesting what you get to say/do and they let you stay, contrasted with what is truly verboten and gets you thrown out.

        2. The media (newspapers as well) smear any citizen or business which goes against the narrative.

    2. How?

      1. Party shenanigans during the leadership stuff
      2. Red Rachel was the contrast
      3. At worst, the status quo was assumed to continue as the NDP stufff was walked back: nobody expected this shitstorm.

      1. The NDP “stuff” is still ongoing. AHS is basically a branch plant of the NDP. Still a crowd of Notley crud sticking to their boots. Your best before date for “hasta la vista baby”, was back when Turd No. 1 gave folks the finger from a passing train window.

        1. Nurses’ and teachers’ unions are a bit of a blight. But we’re not allowed to say that, lest we be deemed extremists of some stripe.

  2. I was a resident of Alberta for ten years and I used to take pride in stating that it was the most “conservative” of all the Provinces whenever I came home south of the border. Texas of the North, you know. Now, it’s just another Globohomo banana republic shithole.

  3. Republics have a shelf life. In my eighties I’m the lucky guy who got to live through what are probably the best, certainly the most prosperous, years of Western Civilization. On a modest salary I’ve travelled, been on the leading edge of technology, eaten well and had friends for a lifetime.

    1. …just to see it rot and fall off at the end. Will your “friends” be with you when the pasty white PantyFa9 and BLM brown hordes come to your house to burn it to the ground, rape your wife and daughter and slit your throat?

      1. At my age I’m thinking I won’t live to see any of that. And when I’m gone my survivors are on their own.

        1. Crawl into your grave, worm. Crawl into your grave and let the world forget you were ever born.

          1. Not a man lives on the continent but fully believes that a separation must some time or other finally take place, and a generous parent should have said, ‘If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace’; and this single reflection, well applied, is sufficient to awaken every man to duty.
            –Thomas Paine

          2. TM is being honest. You, grey, are being sanctimonious. Now tell us all of the great things you’ve done to ensure prosperity for your grandkids.

  4. When this country’s history is written I’m hoping several chapters will be devoted to Conservative Party betrayal. Shameful. For Kenney to be blabbing away on Twitter yesterday commemorating VE day and “human freedom” is some weapons grade chutzpah. Seriously, are they living in an alternate reality?

Went for a walk yesterday and my obviously distraught neighbour apologized to me for having her parents over for a visit despite the covid restrictions. After calming her down with a “I didn’t notice nor do I give a damn” I couldn’t help think about what’s become of us that we have people apologizing for giving their mother a hug.
What a mess this country is. Thank you gutless CPC cowards and you too media…couldn’t have done it without ya.

    1. burton, just a brief recap of where we are. Psychopaths are in control. We have been separated from loved ones, suffocated with masks, injected with experimental drugs, have lost our civil liberties, have had our economy crashed, our schools and churches have been closed, Pastors arrested, we have been locked down “for our own good’. Then Canadians being as stupid as any group in history are busy telling ourselves and each other it is for our own good, “THEY” are keeping us safe, what a load of bullshit. THEY are destroying our lives and our country. Bloody disgusting morons.

      1. Very old white guy – the problem isn’t the excrement leading us, it is the large numbers following them who are oblivious or believe they are keeping us safe in spite of any evidence to the contrary. Add to this complete disdain for anyone who disagrees with with the narrative or dares to fight back. I find this pervasive in people who should be well enough educated ( indoctrinated?) and smart enough to know better. My only explanation is they believe there will be no consequences for following the dictators. Or I have lost my sanity.

    2. Well…I had the Full Family here yesterday for Mothers Day Brunch…and I could give a rats meow what Any of my Condo Neighbours thought or Think.

      NONE OF THEIR Business.

As to “conservatives”…in politics.? in Canada.????
Non existant with the exception of 3: Poliviere, Hellier and Sloan – the REST..?? LIBERAL FILTH

      1. Well done. But what I’ve noticed from years of observation is that there never seems to be a shortage of snitches and dudley do rights.

        1. A common hallmark of socialist societies is the snitch. My inlaws escaped from Poland in the 60’s and they shake their heads today as they watch us willingly give up the rights that they risked their lives for. The stories that they tell about life under the Soviet thumb are truly horrendous. Entire families gone in the middle of the night and you knew that there was someone on their street, or even in their family, that ratted them out.

    3. Different framing next time.

“Went for a walk yesterday and my obviously distraught neighbour apologized to me for having her parents over for a visit despite the covid restrictions. After calming her down with a “I didn’t notice nor do I give a damn” I couldn’t help think about what’s become of us that we have people apologizing for giving their mother a hug.”

Instead of “calming your neighbour down”; just ask “why are you apologizing for hugging your mother?”. Don’t even wait for the answer, just drop the mic and continue your walk. Let them come to their own conclusions, think their own thoughts, after you give one subtle push.

It is like the stuff political parties send. It should just be a single sentence, maybe two. Instead it is always multiple paragraphs, sometimes running to pages. The less words, the less simple truth.

If the Buffalo Party wanted to make an impression, their add should just be ‘The Canadian Milk Cow’, and the question “What has changed since this was published in 1915?”.

  5. Conservatives have never conserved a damn thing. Either you’re an alt-right nationalist, or you’re a leftist.

    1. Not to quibble over a term, it’s not “alt” right. It’s “dissident” right. Go look it up.

        1. A little cranky after realizing you’re about eight years behind the times? You’ve successfully effed YOURSELF off. Loser. Turn off CNN for a change.

  6. It’s amazing to see “conservatism” finally after all these years waking up. When mainstream pundits start citing “conservatives never conserve anything” you know something is changing.

  7. It’s the same here in the lower 48. Our votes, just like yours, are being, and have been manipulated for quite some time now. I hope our Canadian brothers have stashed some less “legal” arms for the upcoming shitfestivus. OG

  8. I keep hearing the word Conservative bandied about, and I am chastised for daring to suggest we have not had any conservatives in politics in this country as a whole for a mighty long, long time.
Think about it. JG Diefenbaker, gave us socialized medicine. Mulroney gave us the GST, the useless Parson Manning “The West Wants In” and Harper who everyone says was the greatest, had an iron clad majority and promised senate reform, stood and pissed his wool suit, instead of selling off the CBC and shutting down the CRTC and ending gun control permanently. He sat on 4.1T in debt and did nothing to shut down programs that are killing canadians financially. Then we have the Communist Peter Lougheed, a supposed God in Alberta, who took a whole 15 minutes during 1982 Constitutional negotiations with PET to emphatically tell Trudeau that HE DID NOT WANT PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR ALBERTANS. Now we have this batch from a Turkey Baster called Kenney, who is so far left, and anti Freedom that Albertans are stunned, all after having Commies like Stelmach, Redford, Notley etc etc. And as a cherry on the cake, we have the Great O’stoole. O’Stoole is too big of a coiler to clean up off the sidewalk with a #10 grain scoop.
I love my conservatives but friends, friends and enemies these are not Conservatives.
What is killing off all these so called Democracies is the UNELECTED UNACCOUNTABLE part of government, that we can not get rid of the BUREACRACIES.
That is even worse than the elected part.
    That is the real Leviathan.
What destroyed the US Republic was these same Bureaucracies.
“The Welfare of Humanity is Always the Alibi of Tyrants”
    Alberta Camus

    1. The bureaucracy is better suited for governance than elected officials.

They are professional and will work within their scope to deliver services. They’re usually “left” only in that their wages come from taxes.

The gong show of corrupt, incompetent and compromised elected governments is what creates our leftward drift.

In other words…the bureaucracy in the government of Pinochet wasn’t a problem.

      1. It’s the senior bureaucrats that are pushing for all these leftist policies. Elected officials don’t have the balls to tell them “NO”.

I have bunted heads with government for many years. Everything is done by bureaucrats. Laws are written by bureaucrats and their lawyers. If they screw up and lose a court case against a subject, they issue a retroactive correction. All elected politicians do is rubber stamp what the bureaucrats want.

If a politician is prone to saying “NO”, the bureaucrats will actively campaign against him/her. That is why, federally, the bureaucrats love the LPC. Provincial bureaucrats prefer the NDP.

      2. So Bureaucracies do not keep expanding their reach and scope. Ha Ha Ha Ha
In 1998 a study was published in Canada of the size of our Bureaucracies. In 1998 canadians carried a regulatory burden of over 550,000 PAGES of laws, rules, and regulations. That is a stack of paper over 14 stories high. Since that date they have added 10-15,000 new rules and regulations and laws every year.
Around 40% of all workers in canada work for some level of government, whether Municipal, Provincial or Federal.
At what point do you think we have enough Government to control the population of canada.
Today the average canadian family pays more in taxes than they are allowed to keep for the necessities of life, food, clothing and housing.
How much of their own property do you think canadians should be allowed to keep.
In conversation with an elected NDP functionary here in Alberta, he suggested that if canadians were allowed to keep 20% of their income/property that, that would probably be fair.
I find this all amusing to a point, that these are supposedly highly educated people making statements like that, and with the certain belief that they are absolutely correct.
At some point when there are more people in the wagon, than there are pulling the wagon. Gravity and physics take over and the wagon simply stops.
canada as a whole as reached the point of no return, it can not be fixed by voting, people are cluing in that in reality they are tax donkeys on a tax farm.
And our elected and unelected elite think that more and more government is the answer.
canada has reached the point financially now of were “canada is jerking off the dog to feed the cat”
canada just does not work anymore for it’s citizens
The Molson’s Commercial of “I AM CANADIAN” brand of Nationalism is just a joke.
What comes next will be forced on canadians whether they like it or not.
canada owes more than all of the EU minus Germany.
If you ended all the printing of fiat, and handouts to corporations and welfare to millions in canada you would find that our GDP would be minus but with ever increasing debt.
I have posted it many times it is around 6T now.
canada can not tax its way out, it can’t print its way, it can’t borrow its way out.
It can not vote its way out.
Next comes chaos and bankruptcies. And many destroyed lives.
“canada is at that point were it is too late to work within the system, but it is too early to shoot the bastards” quote Claire Wolf

        1. The worst part is the people who start in on “we need our own Alberta pension plan, Alberta police force, Alberta old age security, Alberta safe injection, Alberta food guide, …”

Of all the people I have contact with, no one in my life has ever voiced a desire for less. It will be funny when reality hits them all, and they realize that “yes, that RSP really has been gone for a decade”. You try to educate people about reality, but it rarely sinks in. Registration really does guarantee confiscation. Eventually, but always inevitably. RSP, RESP, cars, guns, property, … .

    2. Harper was completely mediocre as a Prime Minister, which sadly makes him the best Prime Minister in living memory.

    3. Buddy.

      Succinct and 100% Bang on.
We started to lose Conservatism the day we allowed PUBLIC SERVANTS to Unioinize.

      1. Blame Pearson for that.

Now we have a bloated civil service that runs the bureaucratic dictatorship. All with a union mentality.

    4. Actually, I disliked Harper. He and his first finance minster, Jim Flaherty, screwed over investors by first encouraging companies to re-organize as trust units and then pulling the rug out from under them.

In addition, Flaherty messed with rules regarding registered retirement plans. At one time, one could move investments between one’s plans without being taxed. That way, one could, say, have one build up cash quicker in an RRSP by having dividend stocks in it, and another could have growth equities. Then, he decided that the government wasn’t getting enough of a cut, so he stopped that.

Flaherty was not popular with investors.

And, also, Harper encouraged the temporary foreign workers program (I think Kenney looked after that). The result is that people like me couldn’t get jobs because cheap labour from overseas was being imported, being rewarded from the government for doing so.

The only reason I voted for him in 2015 was because the alternative, and we know who I mean by that, was far worse.

  9. I’ve come to understand that there’s 2 major camps in the expectations of the role of governments and governments relationship with citizens.

Mine is that I elect people who I think will guard our rights and freedoms. They’re our employees. If they start to become manipulative and abuse their power, we voice our displeasure and pull our support. The other camp is that we are electing bosses who dictate the rules as they see fit, suspending or revoking rights in an instant, and we must not question those new rules and restrictions .

I’ve come to understand that I’m in the minority camp.

Living in a rural area in the province of Saskatchewan, which I now consider the most conservative province in Canada, has afforded some protection from the craziest dictatorial rules but for how long…

      1. I was surprised how many conservatives also believe that we must support conservatives politicians, no matter what they do. No, they aren’t entitled to my vote or my support – they must earn it.

      2. Would say, that they understand this well, it is with this understanding that they get to rule like the damn dicktators (sic).

In fact the parliamentary system is set up as a dicktatorship (sic) for the duration between elections. Once the duration becomes permanent, you get the dicktatorship (sic) of the proletariat.
The proletariat votes for them, once the diktat is installed, the proletariat falls wayside and you are left with the dicktator (sic) an his henchmen. Over a period of time the henchmen are eliminated and newly installed underlings are completely impotent.

What we have here in this country is a sort of convoluted diktat, the idiot in charge is just a figure of empty head that is run by a few selected henchmen/women that are doing the bidding of the rich socialist ruling class.

It is a bizarre contradiction of out times to say rich socialist ruling class. The thing is that in order to remain rich they need the government to make rules that won’t affect them. To win favor with the proletariat they support the government giving away free stuff, not collected from the ruling class, borrowed from whom ever, until such time when payment comes due.
The politicians do this in hope that it will come after they left the stage.

So you end up in fascism.

        1. The growth of power and influence of the rich is concerning. I’ve never begrudged the rich for their wealth but their aristocrat impulse disguised as philanthropy is gross. What is happening now is the return of the Robber Barrons and a Tammany Hall style of “democracy”. The arrogance and narcissism is bordering on megalomania.

    1. This should be a bumper sticker.

We elect politicians (and hire bureaucrats) to serve us, the public, and NOT to rule over us.

      1. Government: Employees not Bosses

Politicians: Public servants not aristocratic rulers

    2. I’ll put it a bit differently; some people want to be looked after and some people want to be left alone.

I’ve come to the conclusion that government is nothing but a parasite that makes everything worse and whose legitimacy only comes from having a monopoly on force.

      This last year+ should serve as ample evidence that;
1.the Charter of Rights and Freedoms is worth nothing,
2.the billions the government takes in taxes is wasted,
3.individuals have no influence over what government does or does not do,
4.the institutions that claim to exist for citizens benefit actually exist only for their own benefit,
5.it does not matter who you vote for.

      1. #6 Jimmy.
The parasites will leave no one alone.
The Dread Covid Theatre has been most proud to announce their intention to bother each and everyone, relentlessly,no matter how much distance you have put between.
Their stealing is relentless and the destruction and waste is their all consuming pleasure.

Hence even the nonvoting who have demanded they be left alone, are served notice.
        Yes.
        War has been declared.
Non Tool Using Takers against the surviving tool users and makers..

For the parasitic overload truly believe they control all.
There is no cure for such delusions.
Especially their absolute faith in their own adequacy.
Hard to figure, that people who have never mastered a trade, grown any crop or built any structure at all,”Know” they command all.
Doubt (being the chastity of the mind )and that experience we have gained from doing, these are not present in any of our “Experts”.
They truly do not know what they do..
And in this they take pride?

  10. As I have stated here before, I believe I owe it to my WWII vet father to fight for this country. We ALL owe everything to this past generation, even if we have already f*cked over future ones.

Look at the tremendous sacrifices they made and the beautiful, free country they built, defended, then handed to us. Now, our generation has lived like kings and then whine and cry like fucking babes about how we don’t like Canada any more when our political foes take advantage of our ‘gluttony’. Then, after abusing this nation to suck everything we can out of it, we toss the smoldering remains to our kids.

Disgusting behavior by ALL baby-boomer Canadians!! Fucking disgusting!!!!

    1. CO

Sorry buddy boy, But I, also a Boomer, have Sucked SQUAT out of this country other than having had the “privilege” of working my ass off in the oil patch for the last 40 yrs, raising two daughters, paying for their tuitions while paying for an overpriced home….

Spare me with your Whitewashing of my GENERATION sonny.

You wanna BITCH.?? Look no further than to the 5-7 MiIlion Trough Feeding Socialist garbage (Unionized Public Servants & their 17 layers of BS Management), in this country…currently sitting on their USELESS ASSES with full pay.

    2. Baby boomers, that you refer to, didn’t become ingrates accidentally. They were enabled by some bad apples from the Greatest generation.
Thus, not all from the Greatest generation were great. And, many boomers – as well as X-ers and Millennials – continued the hard work ethics and moral standards of the previous generations.

    3. I’m also a boomer and I was one of those that PET crapped all over with his NEP. A few years later, I was dumped on by Mulruin.

I drew a lot of dole money during that time because I couldn’t find work and, no, I didn’t want to be unemployed. When I did finally get a job, I paid my share of income tax. Over the years, I’m pretty sure that the government got back all the pogey it paid me.

Now I’m retired and I live off my investments. I’m still contributing to my country because many of those investments are in Canadian companies. I provide capital which those companies can use to stay in business and hire my fellow citizens. Those citizens get paid for their labour and they pay their taxes with that income.

Nice how that works, isn’t it?

      1. Deflect all you want gentlemen, but the fact remains we were handed a pearl and we are passing on a chunk of shit. If you want to believe we are in no way responsible for the lack of stewardship that led us to the unbelievable mess we are in today, then please, enjoy your bliss.

  11. Remember those old Roadrunner cartoons?

Remember that stupid look the coyote used to give us after he had charged through the bird’s dust cloud and realized he was just churning air twenty feet past the edge of the cliff?

Well, we’re way over the edge of the cliff … the stupid look is imminent.

  12. There was an ancient compact between the rulers and the ruled: We would work, pay taxes, and occasionally go off to war for them, and in return, they would, at the very least, protect our culture from invasion. That compact was broken long ago, and as such, our rulers no longer have any real legitimacy other than the force of arms with which to coerce us into doing their bidding. Western leadership is now factually more hostile to western culture than that of the Chinese is to Chinese culture, in that the Chinese culture will still exist 100 years from now, but our culture was intentionally wiped out by our rulers around 20 years ago. The Chinese don’t import millions of wogs to dilute their culture, and then pass laws making it a crime to criticize said wogs.
“Don’t blame me, I voted for Kodos.”

    1. Wiping out our culture was a long term project. You may have just noticed it twenty years ago, but it started with the Marxist asshole Pierre. All part of the Marxist plan knowing their system could not compete with western traditions of freedom and industry, they felt the need to destroy our culture instead of evaluating their own beliefs.

      1. I’d say that shit started well before Pierre came on the scene.

I got one name for ya: Maurice Strong…and his Cabal of Globalist Laurentien Elite garbage – Power Corp. He was the Rockefellers protoge at the time, Gerald Butts came much later..but also a Protoge.

        1. The 1960s is when the movement to delegitimize and ultimately destroy western civilization really caught on and started picking up steam. Pierre and now his misbegotten spawn are certainly some of Canada’s ultimate expressions thereof.

      2. Death blow struck in 1918, bled out in the 1980s, rot set in in the 1990s, 2000s, last steps of long march.

    2. There was never any such compact any more than there is a compact between you and a mugger with a gun to your head; you might believe he won’t shoot you if you hand over your wallet, he might even say so, but you aren’t in any position to make any deals.

      Power does whatever it wants.

      1. Not so. In feudal England, the nobility knew they had to treat the serfs with a minimum of respect to get any work outta them, and then when the plague hit, the serfs started to become what were known as freemen. The French Revolution is what happens when you ignore the serf’s grievances. Market forces (aka thermodynamics) exist, even if you try to ignore them, and you ignore them at your own risk, because they will be obeyed in the end.

        1. Believe whatever fairly tales you like, I’ve read them all as well. The fact is if the serfs didn’t work the serfs didn’t eat. They were only “permitted” to work in exchange for the scraps they were “permitted” to keep, as it is today. The difference being the “Royal court” includes a much higher percentage of the population when you consider the number of people whose income comes directly or indirectly from tax revenues.

The French Revolution was driven by the serfs as much as the First World War was driven by the working class; it was made possible by their use, but not driven by them. Chess matches aren’t driven by pawns.

The French exchanged one set of elites for another and are no freer now than we are. Same for the Brits.

          1. Meh. Under Caligula, there was a less than 3% total tax rate, and very few regs. I agree that chess matches are won by chess players, but that’s where the elan and morale of the troops come into play. Even the libertarians seem to confuse freedom with material wealth, Stossel being a case in point. Myself, I think a gilded cage is still a cage, even if it has hookers and blackjack. AnCapistan is a great idea, but chances are that you can’t get there from here without passing through probably the biggest pile of corpses mankind has ever made. The NAP is by nature reactionary, not pro-active.

          2. Yep, don’t work, don’t eat, a pretty natural thing. At any rate, Icelandic culture didn’t have serfs, but they had slaves. I tend to think that some form of slavery is inevitable. Some people are just born slaves, I figure.

  13. CO, our fathers and grandfathers died in vain. My disgust with my fellow Canadians cannot measured. I am on board with defunding every police dept in the whole freaking country, shuddering parliament, and arresting every heath bureaucrat in the country and charging them with crimes against humanity. Canadians have turned into the dumbest fools on the planet. Police have become the defacto gestapo and they will hurt you if they can. We have to stop this by whatever means necessary.

      1. VOWG….I heartily agree, but how can we stop this? What necessary means?
Mass civil disobedience is all I can think of, but the masked, obedient masses won’t do anything.
When a few people try to push back, they end up like Pastor Artur and his brave ilk.

        1. That’s because they are civilized and fight with the wrong tools. Passive resistance is the mantra of idiots everywhere.

        2. You can’t stop it any more than you can stop the climate from changing.

You might, however, prepare for what is coming.

Venezuela might serve as a heads up. 79% of whom are now living in human induced poverty.

Or maybe it will be like China. Their economy was indeed “turned on a dime” from centuries of a people more or less able to feed themselves to one that was centrally controlled by “science” and which killed somewhere around 45 million between 1958-62 and which will forever need outside help to sustain.

What do you need to survive? Food, shelter, security. Assume those are now your responsibility to provide and proceed accordingly.

    1. VOWG .
No need,to defund every police force and other wings of our Parasitic Overload.
They are currently self defunding,as in there is little wealth left to steal.
We on the other hand, had better stand ready, well armed and well stocked.
Because human nature has not changed, them who wasted and destroyed everything they had, never reflect on their nature, they just takes whatever they can GET AWAY WITH.

I have no F’s To Give, watching the Demon Rats Burn Loot Murder their own most precious supporters, has cheered me immensely.
For while I have been ready for this chaos for years,I was starting to believe it would stagger on a bit longer than me,as Casandra’s are always too early in our depictions of doom.
Now I am of an age past caring, let the comedy commence.

    2. vowg,

“CO, our fathers and grandfathers died in vain.”

“We have to stop this by whatever means necessary.”

“My disgust with my fellow Canadians cannot measured.”

If we don’t find the strength to stop this self-annihilation, then our fathers and forefathers will definitely have died in vain. But I fear, vowg, that you are right and this once proud nation is destined to die with barely a cry and a whimper. As I mentioned above, my fellow Canadians often make me feel disgusted, as well.

  14. We are ruled by thugs who consider us useful when we were willing to be beasts of burden, and a problem to be solved when we insist on our right to rule ourselves and settle our own disputes.

    We always have been.

There was no golden age in which the rulers respected the liberties of the ruled when they had any other option, willingly submitted to a Law that wasn’t their own whim, or understood God to be anything but an excuse for a profitable racket run by a priesthood loyal to the king.

All that’s happened is that the price keeps going up. Because our masters are never expected to pay it in this world (at most, they appoint a few no-longer-useful idiots to take the fall), they never learn. In the nuclear age, there is no guarantee that when civilization falls there will be barbarians able or willing to build on its ruins.

The Jews have learnt from history: only trust a Gentile king with a Jewish knife at his own throat or a Jewish H-bomb pointed at his palace. You want the Laurentian elites (only elites in their own minds, they’re really just useful idiots, but never mind that) to take you seriously? Get a nuke and be prepared to set it off on Bay Street. They hate you and want you replaced by “a new base” of Chinese worker bees, halfwit African drudges and robots, and hauled off to wait for extinction in a frozen, uninhabitable reserve somewhere in Labrador, if you’re lucky. So better them than you.

If that seems impractical, you could do worse than to convert to Orthodox Judaism, emigrate to Israel and stay there until the Messiah comes (or rather returns).

Just be aware that it will be as God wills, not you, so pray Him not to spare the pagans but to ensure that you’re safe in the bosom of Abraham before He lays them low, this time for good.

  15. They should just give the Stanley Cup + an Oscar to = Kamela Harris, then we could all sleep comfortably for awhile.

    1. In her case, those would be more like participation trophies.

  16. The problem is that there has been no actual moral role for legislative government for a long time. Most laws passed and enacted that had any lasting and moral value are almost forgotten. Our culture, including fatally compromised libertarians calling themselves “conservative”, think that we have to have elections to fill our legislatures, grow the state for its own sake and to get re-elected at any cost not because there is any legitimate reason for more laws. The Spawn’s father’s ass-wipe of a constitution and his Supreme Court have done nothing but damage to the nation. We would have been better of with the BNA and common law. How many good laws have come into being in your lifetime? I’m struggling to think of any. We are so far down this path that “everything” is now political and we are a fascist / socialist state.

  17. The Conflagration of the Gulag called Canada will be stupendous.
To CO and his rant about BOOMERS I call BS. I never received or accepted one dime from this gawd forsaken socialist shithole. But I paid MILLIONS in TAXES. I always voted to try and right the ship, but because canada is a fake democracy no amount of voting can get the welfare queens of Quebec and the parasites of Atlantic Canada or the Liberal Court imposed bullshit programs of any kind ended.
The GULAG is FOOKED and the fuse has been lit.
Canada the Gulag is like one of those old trailer park trailer stories you always hear the Volunteer Fire Fighters talk about.
There will not even be a foundation to save.
Will I mourn, not for a heart beat. Again to CO as an Albertan my vote was never equal and never mattered, was always outvoted. And I have “No More F*cks To Give”.
In fact I am all for throwing gasoline on the Gulag as it burns down so there is less to clean up.
I want to see the Gubmint Employees and Politicians following a ravens ass from dumpster to dumpster with their mouths open for their next meal, hoping this time his shit hits their pie holes.
F*ck the Diseased Dominion, Burn Down The Gulag Now FOOK OFF Canada and have a nice day.

    1. You might get your wish. May 12 Line 5 across Lake Michigan is supposed to be shut down. They’re running out of fuel with the Colonial pipeline shut down on the eastern seaboard, from Louisiana to Maine. Anything east of Manitoba is going to be thankful winter ended a few weeks ago. Food is another issue. Are you stocked?

  18. The Difference between a Conservative and a Liberal is the Conservatives will fire their rogue stupid leader, with the Liberals, they are happy to hold their head low and bite their tongue because they think it is for the greater good.

The fact that Trudeau is still polling strong among Liberals is just unbelievable but the issue is the Conservative Leaders are cowards in public, so so scared to say what they say in the backrooms. When they do come forward like Max, they get zero support, they all run and hide. The Conservatives are scared to offer up a different solution. Fcking Useless!
Trumpism shocked the world and the world attacked him on all fronts and stole the election from him. His own party is guilty of it. The world is full of cowards and sleaze bags.

  19. Mr. Steyn says that Britain has had a Conservative prime minister for 11 straight years, but the country has become less conservative over that time. The reason tor this is because the highly-organized left has captured all the major institutions. This is true in Britain, but also true in North America.

For the rightto regain its stature, it has to rebuild its institutions it once had.

  20. Some say history repeats itself and some say that it rhymes.

The last time a communist state tried shutting down a holy man, it ended up with a Mass in Gdansk.

The last time a leader was arrested, he then became president of Poland.

The last time time the cruel state wanted to silence someone, his death was a deafening roar that led to his road to sainthood.

Idiot Canada has made a mistake making Poles its enemies.

  21. People are so effin dumb:
“Hey, lets let the people we vote for and tax us take charge of educating our kids!”
“Great idea, what could go wrong?”
“Hey, lets let the people we vote for and let regulate us take charge of our health!”
“Great Idea! What could go wrong???”
“Hey, lets make some guy you’ve never met’s health your responsibility, financially and socially, because CANADA!!”
We’re so polite we say thanks after the baseball bat sodomy. So fat and soft, ripe for a die-off, and ready to harvest by the first ruthless man to have the balls to make a profit from it. We’ll vote for him, too, a man as bad as any, but wearing pink sox and a happy-face armband, spouting sloganeering sound bits that the people have been programmed to admire…

  22. Man’s greatest responsibility to mankind was simply placing limits on women:
“Can I rip my baby out with sharpened steel tools?” “no.”
“Can I go skydiving or engage in kickboxing contests while I’m pregnant?” “no.”
“Can I take pills to stop me from getting pregnant?” “err, I guess…”
“Can I get a job, and start nagging men all day, instead of only when your home?” “err, I guess…”
“Can I turn tricks on the street to pay for my drug habit?” “err, I guess…”
    …and so it goes.
I don’t think women can handle freedom, or a society with “free” women is not biologically viable.

  23. Prolife crowd:”You women can do anything you like, turn tricks on the street or run a big business, just don’t kill babies!”
21st century women:”Fuck you! We’ll kill babies, stop procreating, etc, because we can, its our “right” after all.”
Sorry toots, your uterus disqualifies you from some freedoms we man enjoy, and qualifies you for some perks we men don’t get. Now do your freakin’ job and have kids!

  24. Yesterday for Mother’s Day our province had made it an official health order that no grown person could go to their mother’s home or visit their mother in her home for Mother’s day. You could meet in a park as long as you were in groups of less than five people. One of my friends met with his kids at a local park in Portage La Prairie for Mother’s day. They were technically six people but he figured since one was a baby, she didn’t count. He reported multiple RCMP vehicles slowly driving around and around and around the park watching everyone with cameras recording everything. He said it was really creepy and incredibly intimidating. Now I understand the crazy order for no visitors in your home. It’s so the police can watch who you meet with.

I used to make a point of paying for whatever a police officer ordered if they were behind me in a drive through, you know, support the blue and all that. No more. I will cooperate as required with police the barest minimum I can get away with and they can otherwise drop dead for all I care.

    1. Yesterday for Mother’s Day our province had made it an official health order that no grown person could go to their mother’s home or visit their mother in her home for Mother’s day.

I said “Up yours,” to the government and drove to my house in B. C. yesterday. It was Mother’s Day and, after I arrived, I left a card on Mama BADR’s urn.
