A Hanging, Followed By A Fair Trial

Fortunately for lying while under oath juror #52, he’s not a secret member of the Proud Boys who voted to acquit. He might be in real trouble.

First reported by The Post-Millennial and since covered by other outlets, a photo from a Facebook post of Brandon Mitchell in Washington, DC shows him wearing a t-shirt that reads, circling a photo of Martin Luther King, “Get Your Knee Off Our Necks – BLM” while standing with two other men, one of whom is identified in the post as Mitchell’s cousin.

Mitchell now says that he was just in DC to “be a part of something.”

Viva Frei: Could it lead to a mistrial?

  1. So this juror said that he … “had the opportunity” … to travel to Wash. DC to protest and be “part of something”. Yeah, I’d like to know a LOT more about that “opportunity” … who funded his travel?

D’ya think our media will investigate? Me neither.

    1. He’s a 31yo HS basketball coach? That’s a job? Here at my upper, upper, middle class suburban enclave we pay our HS basketball coaches (who are teachers at the HS) about $4k extra (total) to coach the BB team. What does this Minneapolis HS basketball coach get paid!? How is that a sustainable “job”?

      1. Well Kenji, when there are no more schools who will give a shit?

      2. My two brothers were high school teachers in Canada. Part of the job was coaching one of the teams, unless things have changed in the last 25 years. No extra pay. One brother got his bus driver’s license so the school didn’t have to pay a driver.

  2. A modest proposal:

American trials by jury should use Canadians as jurors. Several advantages: We are completely familiar with their culture, albeit not willingly. We don’t have a dog in the race, so to speak, so won’t automatically pick sides. And, we live in Canada, so doxxing jurors after controversial decisions won’t result in instant homicide.

The reciprocal arrangement, however, is a complete non-starter.

    1. I’d like to agree with you, but unfortunately I know some canadians.

      1. I am Canadian and if I was in the position I would elect trial by judge without exception. May still get an idiot, but odds are not as good as jury where you are likely to get 12.

    2. Under your arrangement … NOBODY … would ever get convicted. Because Canadians are all such ‘nice people’ … Every trial would be a George Floyd/OJ trial …

      1. Absolutely correct. We must not forget Canadians gave Barrack Obumphuck an 89% approval rating.

  3. some one tell the likes of that asshole COLON, that it’s not about Shauvin, it’s about the distortion within the “legal” system

    1. Someone please explain to Enema69 (preferably by drawing uncomplicated pictures) that he should have been paying attention to the systematic dismantling of the legal system before one his beloved JBTs got caught between gears. Someone explain to Enema69 that Chauvin and co worked hard to kill that system and when it died they pissed on the corpse. It is dead and no amount of humping it will bring it back to life.

  4. My conspiracy theory of the moment is that this juror was put on that jury deliberately, to generate a mistrial. Because if Derek Chauvin dies in jail, and he will, currently serving cops will quit. That would be a catastrophe for the DemocRats, and they know it.

This way they get their guilty verdict, and they get Chauvin alive as well. Perfect!

  5. Another Helpful Hint: This whole trial was full Banana Republic. The outcome was predetermined and the judge was in on it.
