Under the younger Trudeau’s administrations, a perfect storm of destabilizing factors has struck the country. Rampant immigration from third-world nations, predominantly Muslim, has led to sporadic terror attacks, ghettoization, and a depletion of public funds. A punitive and unnecessary carbon tax looks likely to eviscerate the farming community, hamstring commerce and industry, and severely impact ordinary households. Radical feminism has taken root not only in public schools and universities but in the governing cabinet as well, leading to decisions based on ideology rather than pragmatism.

Somebody, get us out of this place.

  1. I’ve seen how this have devastated the grandkids who pretty much have been in daycare from birth.
    Quebec daycare is so cheap, they are the weekly babysitters and the kids are totally out of control at home and more live in their bedroom as their behaviors are out of control.

    1. Quebec has had subsidized Daycare for well over a generation, paid for by the rest of the country through equalization payments. What has improved?
      Less crime, fewer suicides, violence or murders, better educated and tolerant populace, less welfare?

        Last week, Jonathan and Teresa Heron, co-owners of Huf Gym in Mississauga, decided they had had enough of Ontario’s lockdowns. They did what most business owners are justifiably too terrified to do — they opened their little gym on Dundas Street East.
        Rebel reporter Lincoln Jay was on the scene as the story unfolded, and what he witnessed was nothing short of remarkable. Clients and demonstrators arrived at the gym enmasse to show the Herons that they weren’t alone in their defiance.
        And when a Peel Region police sergeant responded, the strangest thing happened. He stood down, and instead of issuing tickets, he issued hugs! (An offence that immediately got him suspended).
        The next day I returned to catch up with the Herons to ask them about the stunning turn of events at their “speakeasy” gym.

        The Media Party was not at all impressed. A CTV reporter covering the event made a point of publicly shaming the heroic actions of the gym owners and the sergeant.
        That sentiment was echoed by many others, including Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie, who issued a dire warning to the gym for their refusal to comply with the public health mandates.
        There’s no doubt that Mayor Crombie and Premier Ford want to make an example of this gym, à la Adam Skelly of Adamson Barbecue.
        Will they follow up on their threats? We plan to keep an eye on Huf Gym as this story develops and will report back as we learn more.

    She is essentially calling for the US Constitution to be ignored. How can America follow the tenets of a “racist document”? How can our “Colonial” Foundation be honored.   8. And don’t forget the massive brain drain going on. When I came home to Calgary in 2004, we had built up global expertise in the energy sector such that our people and their counsel were sought all over the world. Our companies, banks, professional firms, etc. were doing world class work and deals.

    Now, we have an entire generation that has stagnated or left altogether through the lack of growth and work while the older generation retires. Last week, one of our competitors lost a half dozen young people to the US and the Caribbean – and it feels like that is happening every week. We used to get a lot of refugees from Toronto and even New York wanting to come out and work for us but those days are long gone. Lots of people think things will just bounce back but that takes the right people and, sadly, a lot of them are gone for good.

    1. That started with Trudeau War I, also known as the NEP. The oil business in 1990 was a lot different than it was in 1980. Companies that I was familiar with disappeared almost overnight thanks to PET.

      1. True but we had rebuilt and were far more robust from juniors on up, plus, the infrastructure around it (accountants, bankers, law firms, engineers, etc.) was much larger and more complex compared to the 1970s not to mention the amount of wealth in the city.
        We will see. There are some smart investors with horizons of 30-40 years (intergenerational wealth funds and the like) that are making plays and we still have some very sharp business people, technical experts and shrewd advisors but it certainly is going to be an uphill climb. Would be much better to do it as the country of Alberta.

  13. During the worst pandemic in 100 years Canada admitted almost 300,000 immigrants in 2020. Canada admitted 25,000 immigrants in January of this year (the most recent data I could find), and plans to admit an astonishing 400,000 by the end of the year, while the rest of us (i.e. Canadian citizens) are stuck in lockdown.

    Has anyone of any prominence, any politician, media figure or anyone else, publicly taken exception to this? There is no doubt that this mass influx of people has helped to further spread Covid, and has cost Canada countless billions of dollars, all while the government nonchalantly runs up 350 billion dollar deficits. Not to mention while millions of Canadians are unemployed, underemployed, or are seeing their businesses bankrupted.

    This truly is the most pathetic country in the history of the world.

    1. I noticed that error too. I followed the link to a Fraser Institute study that accurately presented the data. Had to be a typo as only the totally innumerate could believe 1Billion so I doubt Solway was trying to pass that on as factual unless he was thinking of deficit instead of debt.

It was a good concept but the left won and is coring out the carcass that died when Stanfield didn’t get elected and the resultant change in the society by PET. Finished, kaput. Just look at the opposition party (CPC), which is the same as the left-leaning fascists/communists in power. I can’t wait to leave when the time comes. Arizona maybe.
