@MineerBrett BREAKING: Something is going on now wider than Rogers. Bell, SHAW, Virgin among networks suffering widespread outages of either mobile, internet or both… TELUS showing growing outages now too. This is very odd. Very odd indeed. Suspiciously odd.
Via the comments this useful tool: DownDetector.ca

I’m with Rogers, no cell service. Home phone, also Rogers, seems to working OK.
Given the breadth of the outages, it sounds like a cyberattack.
Called it!

Not totally unrelated.

Chinese giant Huawei was able to eavesdrop on ANY conversation on Dutch mobile network and knew which numbers were tapped by police or intelligence agencies.
Get what we paid for.
CCP is not our friend.
We have become bond-slaves to Trudeau’s master.
And the populace will vote him in again, out east.
An election?
Why would there be an election?
His Chinese bosses simply would not allow it.
I have Internet service where I am (so far).
I too am doubting an election. A ‘long’ parliament is coming.
No election ever again.
Imagine the look on the serfs’ faces.
Agreed. They don’t need a legitimate election; a potemkin village will do. The US Democrats showed how to fake an election with computer programs to invent all the votes for the desired result. Who needs voters when we can invent them with a computer algorithm?
No election until at least Oct.
Slimey liberal and ndp MP’s have to get their 6 years of “service” to qualify for their pensions.
Disrupt service,,, isn’t that how they took down Blackberry !
The ChiComs must think we forgot already.
And Nortel, with some help from itself.
Intelesting, velly intelesting

Coulda had Nortel.
Slow clap…
Naw, that paki, Al Javed, sold out Nortel Wireless to the chinks. Funny thing was, most of the Canadians who worked there at the time knew pretty much what was up. But CSIS/RCMP let it happen. He did well enough, though.
Well, Sasktel is still up.
Only weirdos and Trudeaus don’t think the Chicoms are the enemy.
I’m hard pressed to see a difference. 😉
Virgin Mobile is running (which is Bell in Canada). Last week, our neighbourhood lost all Bell service for several hours including Bell Fibe. Our Cogeco internet was just fine.
Saw a post on downdetector.ca. author claimed to be Rogers Sysadmin and that networks were being hacked out of Maylasia(?).
No further info.
Again from downdector.ca:
“Rogers Customer Service • 2 hours ago
We are currently trying to resolve the issue. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we should be back up before 5pm today. Thank you and sorry again! We have a major security breach and working very hard to resolve it quickly”
My service (TELUS for both smartphone and Internet) is fine so far.
So far ok with Virgin/Bell in Northern Ontario., but my peeps in Southern Ontario with Roger’s having problems.
After the Liberals intervened in the Halifax defense award going to Taiwan, I’m surprised to see this happening.
I thought it would just blow over? That we could all be friends again…
My Shaw hardline is fine, and my Koodo/Telus mobile is fine, as of this moment at least. Can’t speak to earlier.
Wow, 424 outages reported at Telus, so widespread, must be a crisis.

not a Huawei conpiracy
It’s phonedemic.
Did you see the spendemic this PM?
