Here’s a good play by play video of the curfew protest in Old Montreal not that long ago. Big crowd, lots of noise, culminates with a fire and large police presence.
I lived on the west side, Dollard-des-ormeaux, so yeah, who cares.
They haven’t had this much excitement since the FLQ days under T-1—his father. In those days the firemen were busier putting out the fires started in mailboxes. People didn’t mail as much stuff as a result. It was the beginning of reduced revenues for Canada Post.
This time, the Feds, under the son, T -2, he has trashed the whole bloody country with covid extremism. It didn’t have to be this way. Too bad they sold us out. We could’ve been contenders. How dare they screw us like this.
Oh, for the days of wine and roses, or happier hippie days when a weekend meant going to Woodstock, or trying to get there, or making out with the one that bring ya.
Excellent. Big noisy protests are the way to stop this nonsense. Too many Canadians are obedient little minions. We allow suppression of free speech, gun grabs, controlled media, punative taxes, political abuse by the elites — time to push back, especially when our Constitutional rights are being violated. I am glad Montrealers are waking up.
Sad day when Quebecers are showing more stones than Albertans.
Oh well, maybe they are less likely to be slagged by the CBC crowd.
And maybe, just maybe, some of the rest of the country will follow suit. I was driving through a small Alberta city on Friday, and stopped for gas. The local paper was there, and the headline was that a number of city restaurants and coffee shops were considering defying the covid restrictions en masse.
Would be the way to go!
