            And, yes, I grew up on Marvel comics in the 60s.
            I don’t know what they are like now, but back then, Captain America was a fighter for freedom and liberty and truth….kind of like Jordan P.
            More ironic in this vilification of Dr. Peterson is the fact that the original Captain America was a foe of Nazis and evil people like the Red Skull.

          2. Interesting, Stevie. Not a superhero geek myself, so my first thought was for the Winter War when Europe was busy with the NAZI forces and the USSR decided to absorb Finland. It didn’t work out like they had planned.

            To me the Winter Soldiers are the outnumbered and outgunned Finns. Who triumphed.

      Yeah, I noted the Bucky update when I saw the stupid movies.
      I am old enough to recall when Bucky was like an adamantine sidekick to Cap.
      As for the Red Skull….he now represents the antifa idea people.
      The left has actually destroyed the idea of irony.
      We need more Nemesis figures, like Jordan, if only to piss the frail, unmoored lefty masses right the fuck off. They can’t stand the truth and the light when it confronts them. And they have nothing to refute or rebut with, because they don’t get the deep references.

  15. Dumb move by Marvel. Giving free publicity to Jordan Peterson and giving room for public ridicule. Of them. Even media giants need to beware of the truism, “Go woke, go broke.” Getting laughed at is not good for the bottom line.

    1. Marvel has been woke for 7 years. It is already broke (at least the comics division). It is run by hard core progressive activists and their enablers. People like Richard Meyer and Ethan Van Sciver fought them for years, gave up and are now making their own comics. Meanwhile, the conservative pundits like Francisco are cluing in a decade after the horses left the barn. As usual.
