So… the potential is/was there to have 171,865 of the most vulnerable people in the province fully vaccinated. No comment on how they’ve decided to hand these out.
1,371,456 people or 99.91% of the population are in code red lockdown, because of 1252 cases where 142 people required hospitalization.
No indication from the central scrutinizers when/how/why this might ever change.

Just a comment about hospitalizations. In Britain, presumably 40% of the people in hospital with Covid went there for something else — who knows what. It seems that once you get to the hospital they are tested and if positive, you become a Covid hospital case. With the number of false positives with PCR, hospitalizations become another misleading statistic, at least in Britain. I don’t know if the same is true in Canada, but it would be good to find out.
There will be no end to it. The sooner you accept that the sooner you can make plans.

In Ontario, the provincial government has made public the priority list for the China virus vaccine. Turns out it is blatantly racist, but the media is perfectly fine with the racism because it is politically-correct racism.
There are five categories of eligibility in the first phase of the roll-out. Four of these make common sense: seniors in “congregate living” (i.e., sharing facilities), health care workers, adult chronic home care recipients & adults over 80 years old.
Guess what the fifth category is (the racist one) ? Adults in First Nations, Metis and Inuit populations. And don’t think “populations” in category 5 means living on a reserve, remote or otherwise. That is not the case. For example, the city of Ottawa has announced that there are “populations” of First Nations, Metis and Inuit within the boundaries of the city so they are all eligible to be vaccinated in the first wave of the roll-out. Yes, a perfectly healthy 21-year-old Metis currently living in Ottawa, and who has never lived anywhere else but Ottawa, has priority over an 80-year old military veteran.
What a country! Would you join the military to fight for it?

A simple little experiment that most can perform in a matter of two minutes. Write down the number of people in your social circle, family, friends, business associates. Now write down the number of people within that circle that have died in the last twelve months, how many have been hospitalized, how many have been sick. Does the answer come anywhere close to what the experts had prophesized last year when they all started running around setting their hair of fire and screaming “We’re all DOOMED, I tell ya, DOOMED!”
My circle, not a single one has caught this virus and yet they’ve all had their first Moderna shot.
They see me as germ boy who hasn’t willingly and blindly taken this wonder vaccination.
I can see this tearing families apart. You’re not welcome at the cottage unless you’ve been vaccinated. No family birthdays, reunions, or any get-togethers. Guys’ Weekend? Forget about it, unless you’ve been poked. Members of my family are terrified of the Chinese Plague and can’t wait for their vaccines. I’m pretty sure I won’t be welcome once we are able to get together again.
I do not personally know anyone who contracted, let alone died, from COVID-19(84) or any of its mutations (there are no variants). One relative died from career induced cancer. Everyone else I know is doing fine. That includes one relative with AHS EMS.
My 79 year old brother got very ill with the wuhan flu…in the middle of his chemo sessions. He was treated at home with an antibiotic and the dreaded *Trump* med HCQ. He recoverd.
All other friends that I have been aware of that had the illness had minor symptoms for a few days.

Given that the first dose confers about 80% effectiveness, the UK’s strategy of getting as many people as possible the first dose and delaying the second seems justified. Both the US and Chile prioritized the second dose for “full vaccination,” and while both are ahead of the UK in that respect, both are also seeing increases in cases, though so far that hasn’t translated to a significant increase in hospitalizations in the US

The UK USP is that, on the excellent and imaginative scientific advice we received, we concentrated on 1st doses, unlike Chile, and so have vaccinated 45% of the population with 1 dose and ca 8% with 2 doses. That is a huge difference.
The situations are not comparable.
No doubt there is something to be learned from Chile’s experience by everybody and no doubt the UK will consider it – but that seems mostly to be a dreadful warning to France (given what is happening there and the short shutdown imposed by Micron.)
Which almost all healthy people under 70 survive. if they even had the virus. The cases are detections of strands of RNA that the epxerts think are unique to Ovid16; but are they. All corona viruses must have similar DNA and maybe all SARS do. Just how selective. accurate and reliable are the PCR tests? A questionf for Doug Ford if you are feeling mean, because he won’t know. In fact, I think no one knows.

I see the “active” hospitalizations in Manitoba are 66 and the “active” ICU patients are 12 for a total of 78. What constitutes “total” vs “active” I don’t know. Total province wide Covid beds 4209. Whatever figures you use, there is NO pandemic and NO curve left to flatten.
What I do know, is Colonel Klink Pallister and Sgt Schultz Roussin & cohorts have bungled the plandemic from the get go, enacting punitive measures based on political correctness, mob polling the masses they have terrorized for months (engagemb), all the while caving into the pro-lockdown, pro-mask Liberal basement dwellers. Come on people. You all should know by now the PCR tests run over 25-30 cycles produce massive amounts of false positives. The cases reported are bogus. I don’t even read or listen to those reports because they are lies. The PCR test in Saskatchewan is run at a Ct of 44. Image the number of false positives for infectious cases that are not infectious.
The sheepish adherence and silence to the lockdowns all over the civilized democratic world tells me one thing…The bravery shown at the deployment of Juno and Omaha beach on that infamous day of 1944 is truly a thing of the past. The thing is that freedom and democracy are pretty unique in human history. This is not the natural state of man at all. Strongmen who willingly give up power via a ballot box? Overall Manitobans have been sensible and my city of 13,000 has zero new cases for several weeks now. Northern reserves have higher rates because it is hard to get them to do anything right
Months back one of our outbreaks was from a bunch of hutteites who went to a wedding in Alberta and brought back the virus. With communal living it spreads like crazy.
On that note a USA Amish colony who do not listen to any news or watch TV let nature take its course and now have achieved herd immunity …. apparently the death rate is not much different than the rest of the population.

Lots of Covid denial in North Dakota, even now. Not so much in Manitoba.
North Dakota had very low rates for the first eight months or so. Then it spiked for a few months and went back down. So your observation of high rates is somewhat misleading. Also, they are currently about 36% vaccinated vs Manitoba’s 11%.
ND is #1 in the USA for cases per capita. Their record is horrible. But now they have a high vaccination rate.

That’s because the US annual flu vaccine is cultured in dog kidneys which carry corona virus traces in them. I remember reading an article close to a year ago that said in effect anyone who got the annual flu vaccine in the US is 100% guaranteed to test positive for COVID. The Canadian flu vaccine is not the same. Hence the difference.

I don’t know anyone who died from Covid-19, but my father-in-law (80) died back in January five days after receiving his first death jab of Moderna. He had an immediate reaction within 24 hours of the shot. Extreme confusion, heart irregularities. They give him a Covid test at the hospital. I’ll let everyone guess what that result was. They decide he needs to be treated for Covid, mind you, NO COVID SYMPTOMS – at all.
A few days in he’s doing better. New doctor arrives and freaks out. “This man MUST be on a ventilator”. Mind you he was breathing just fine with a little supplemental oxygen which seemed to be helping those other “non-Covid” symptoms. Two hours after ventilation he’s dead.
Sad part is the wife and I begged him not to get the shot. He had been 100% fine throughout all of 2020. But, he was a good Democrat (hardcore) and believed everything he was fed on the TeeVee. The TeeVee never lies!
Now if we could quarantine socialism, that would be worth the effort.
Pretty sure we’ve been had, and one day some random elitist will let slip that all this was done to save the earth from the climate emergency, because governments would not act on the scale they had wanted, so they forced this upon them.
The narrative may depend on the essentially random outcome of the weather over the years 2020 to 2023, if that fits the narrative we may get boasting and suggestions of great honours, if we get roughly the same weather we won’t hear much except “it was worth a try but obviously too late,” and if it gets warm then “if only we had acted sooner.”
I don’t view it as a hoax, by the way, there’s a real virus out there and some people can die from it. It was designed just that way, not to kill everyone or even 1% of us, although I wonder if maybe the results are a bit disappointing to some of the sponsors.
But let’s call a spade a spade here, for what amounts to an average-to-bad flu season or the mother of all colds, we have essentially disabled large parts of the economy, shut down organized religion, and curtailed travel by 90% while destroying several sectors of the economy altogether. I mean, really, are they nuts or just emboldened by their wealth and privilege? Probably a deadly blend.

I live here. It is INSANE. I don’t know how else to say it. IT IS INSANE. No government could be so stupid. It is all on purpose and they are planning something nefarious and horrible for us. And it will NEVER end. Nothing else makes any sense.
Well, in Alberta (not shut down… yet) we have 59 ICU, 292 hospitalized, 8653 active “cases”, 1994 deaths (since the beginning of last year), average age is still 81 and a new number 6.3% positivity….whatever that means. Population is 4.5 million.
Rachel Notley, NDP plus her pals in the Snivel Service especially the AHS, AMA at al wants to turn the place into Stalag 13 ’cause, well it worked so well in Chinah. Kenny is huffing and puffing on lockdownitis, butt he knows that his days are numbered if he tries.
