Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

That’s the thing about flying…I understand that it’s the best way to get from A—>Z, so I do it. Don’t ask me to like it.
That’s nothing! I once swung at a inside pitch that was a little too far inside and the ball hit the nail of my one thumb. The pain was intense, made even worse by the fact that I was only eight years old. A few days later the nail fell off. It was terrible.
Seeing maggots eating your flesh would be cool! That lady is a whiner!
Is that supposed to be funny?
I have a weakness for those kinds of stories. Who could forget the book Alive, the story about the October 12, 1972 airplane crash when a plane carrying a team of young rugby players crashed into a mountain in the Andes. Out of the forty-five original passengers and crew, only sixteen, those who resorted to cannibalism made it off the mountain alive.
I remember reading that story in the news years ago. My thought was how she survived being vision impaired despite her schooling in the rain forest.
Yeah, it was a Readers Digest ” drama in real life” piece decades ago. I’ve never forgotten it. True grit.
