According to reports, an RCMP car was outside the firehall with an officer and an emergency response person there when the second Mountie car stopped and their occupants opened fire. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured, but it was close. The officer already there quickly put hands up and the shooting stopped, but not before considerable damage had been done. Obviously, the RCMP have one seriously fubarred communications system.

    2. Hudson – whoever the supremely stupid s..t was who mandated this, he/she/it has never had children – or at least none that he/she/it has had any day-to-day experience for. Forcing a preschooler (or for that matter, any child under ten) into mandatory quarantine is serious child abuse; forget the practicality of doing that in the average home.

      Our family has young’uns, and the cousins are suffering because can’t get together. So a skating party was organized where all participants could be outdoors and enjoying healthy exercise. Only problem was that the youngest two aren’t that good at skating yet, so videos showed more small masses of crumpled colour down on the ice than proud skaters. Those two decided the adjacent playground was more to their liking, and that’s where they went. A photo shows the pair of them together in the tire swing; no masks, no social distancing, and just loving being together after so long apart. We all thought it was great, and hope to see more get-togethers in the future.
