    1. I believe you would have to go back to the Harper government. Stephen Harper was a cautious, thoughtful politician, and he was not part off the globalist cabal. Sadly, Canadians made their choice. Now we live in a faux democracy with a faux Prime Minister. The faux GG who never moved into Rideau Hall, and never reached out to the population, while collecting a generous salary, was a perfect emblem of Canada’s current reality.

        Doctrinally true conservatism is at a marginal level in Canada. Canadians are leftists at heart while its “conservatives” are centrists. The only conservative party left in 2021 is the PPC.

        Harper had the opportunity to review the CBCs mandate & to privatize or defund it but failed to. Harper also endorsed Scheer then recently, O’Toole as CPC leaders are questionable endorsements.

My wife inherited a Marriott Timeshare that I will redouble my efforts to have her dispose of.   4. Finally! Seeing Albertans with some backbone and telling the useless Cops this Court House was paid for by US the taxpayers and we have a right to be here!
    In Calgary – the protest in front of the “hotel’ – one protester said to whomever is inside – GET UP AND WALK OUT! Correct! Fight this illegal incarceration before we become fully under Communism. This is absolute insanity and we need to get rid of the Commie lover in Ottawa. NOW!

        New rule just announced: If you HAVE HAD THE TEST AND PROVE NEGATIVE you still go directly to covid jail & are subjected to more tests and are forced to pay the extortion.

      2. I go by this Hotel every day for my morning covfeve ( coffee ).
        Tim Hortons is right beside it as is Swiss Chalet , Subway and Harveys plus a convenience store and a PetroCanada and Shell gas station across the road.
        Mixed in with some restaurants.
        It is off of Dixon Road near Martingrove and the 401.
        The airport is about 5 minutes away.
        There is a No Frills and a Shoppers Drug Mart 10 minutes away.

        It has been like that , under guard ,for about a year.
        I always wondered what was up, since most hotels in the area are closed with NO security guards posted.
        I assumed it was for refugees, but it is obviously not.

        And the cops are always there , hiding out on their coffee breaks, plus around other hotels in the area.

        1. So they planned this going back a year? Explains why they’ve intentionally left travellers in with NO tests… to create a pretext for imposing the new rules!!!

  11. The Presstitutes have nothing but praise for new draconian travel rules that impose covid jail and a hefty extortion upon returning travellers. It’s like the snowbirds and vacationers are getting their just desserts for travelling during a pandemic.

    Then there are those who have been prevented from seeing family and friends in the USA since the border closure in March with 3 subsequent closure extensions by the Feds. Those who want to see loved ones now find themselves subject to the same draconian rules EVEN if they have a recent negative covid test result upon their return.

    Meanwhile, for over a year, the Feds have allowed plane loads from China into the country with NO testing while the politicians themselves flew off to their vacation homes in the sunny south.

    1. My son in law’s Canadian family have been denied seeing their (now 1yo) grandson for his entire life. Me? I can summarily ignore Gavin Newsom’s home arrest orders. There are no borders to cross within CA (yet). My daughter’s in-laws are not so lucky. I actually feel very sorry for them.

  14. My family in Calgary can talk of nothing but Marjorie Taylor Greene. If they had payed attention to what was going on in Canada rather than Trump they may not have ended up with Socks a second time. They are again being distracted by something that has no bearing on their lives what so ever.

  17. I am sitting in Arizona right now because of Turdeau’s Covid Hotel crap. And I will stay here until his puppet masters tell him to change it.
    Maybe I can dye myself with shoe polish and sneak in at Roxbury Road.

        1. Sure you do. You don’t have to apply for one in advance but are given one (B2) when you enter the US via a port of entry (you can look it up and get the information, form I-94 I believe). It is good for a six month stay in a twelve month period. If you overstay that, you can be found inadmissible in the future. That will cost you $930.00 USD to get a waiver and take a long while.

    2. I think this will dissipate by late April. WestJet told me this nonsense is all about keeping youth from flying south for Spring Break.

  18. I came down to the US in December to be with my wife for the winter. COVID rules prevented me from driving into the country but I was allowed to fly. Instead of driving 450 miles and maybe contacting a half a dozen people, I was forced to fly 2200 miles, visit three large city airports, switch planes three times and then rent a vehicle and drive about half the initial road distance to my destination. Now I discover that upon my return flight after reversing all those connections, I will be thrown in COVID jail at my own significant expense. And, of course, I have no idea what happens to my last connecting flight when I reach Toronto. WTF? Should I request asylum in the USA?

    1. I’ve put off visiting family USA side for similar reasons. If I go now, its also covid-jail for me.

      You could try being a hero and refuse the special room at the Radisson and take the fine or ask to be jailed instead and have your day in court. Then there’s appeal and application to the Supreme Court to hear your case and meanwhile for the next 10 years people would ante up to cover your legal costs and …on second thoughts put that thought on hold.

First, I am sending USCIS a request for an extension of my visitor’s visa until the presidential order holding up my green card is lifted or until I can enter the country without being unlawfully detained. I wonder if Canadians abroad and subject to unlawful detainment are now eligible for asylum.

        1. Thanks for the idea. People with family in USA can make noise stateside against the lock-ups and economic hardship especially if they hold dual citizenship. Ditto Americans heading this way.

          BS upon BS. What is the point of vaccines and vaccine passports if they are going to lock you up anyway? Here you won’t get a vaccine till 2029 even if you wanted one.

  19. Caught up to speed with summer golf buddies via email yesterday . Interesting to to learn that one got his first vaccine shot on Feb 1 and will get the second on the 22nd down in sunny Fla . I had to listen all summer to this guy shit all over Gov Ron DeSantis ….the irony is palpable . On the upside Trudope’s waiting list just got shorter by 2 .
