Overcast tonight so no celestial delights. Got a coupla buddies over for dinner. Smoked duck on the egg. Rack of antelope (frenched) on the Webber. Good wine and conversation.

OK, I gotta admit, the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter lives up to the hype. Maybe it helps that my eyes aren’t what they once were.
We are experiencing snow now, but on Twitter at least, #conjunction, is showing some cool pictures.
I’m heading down to paint the bomb shelter.
lol There was a sentence I didn’t expect.
cloudy tonight here but it was spectacular in binocs last night , and close enough , as they arc away from each other should be good views for weeks , and mars is bright as well . i could make out 4 moons of jupiter . of course you can most nights when you can find jupiter . it was proposed as a way of telling time for navigation and longitude at one time.. problem was at sea not seeing jupiter happens most of the time
