Including the thrill of 1970s carpeting; a mushroom claw machine; an archive of manuals and missing instructions; the thrill of dryer lint; and when failure is not forgiven.

That bolt of dryer lint…wow, looks sorta like a London sewer fat plug..!! It’s a wonder it didn’t catch fire…
I actually recycle our dryer lint. Save it and when I have enough, I fill each slot of a cardboard egg tray, pour hot candle wax over till it soaks to the bottom. Let it harden and keep em in my RV. Break of a pair….. They make excellent FIRESTARTER’s. No kindling required..at all.
1 winter yields 3-4 trays..!!
That must be one lonnnnnnnng dryer vent. And who doesn’t use and clean out their dryers lint trap?
Isn’t that hamster maze, err torture chamber some form of animal cruelty? Shouldn’t PETA be SHUTTING DOWN that guys channel?
My first thought, as well, Kenji. Where’s the PETA outrage?! Pretty smart hamster, though.
I once bought a seventies house, this was in the late ‘80s, that had all of that plus wallpaper that was purple and orange geometric patterns printed on silver foil. Ripped up the carpet to find very nice hardwood floors.
Apparently, the Trudeau Gang are going to increase the carbon taxes – they say they ‘have’ to, to meet the emissions standard. Heh. You know, this carbon tax reminds me of the Catholic Church ‘sale’ of indulgences – a lucrative practice in the12-16th centuries.
But first, in order to set up this financial infrastructure, the Church had to set up a belief infrastructure consisting of three domains: heaven, hell and purgatory. Now, there is no empirical, much less logical evidence for any of these three sites, but – using the self-appointed authority of the Church – these domains came to be ‘The Truth’. And one other requirement: Man had to be understood as basically sinful.
Now – to enter the best site, heaven, the human individual had to be without sin. How to achieve this? Confession wasn’t enough; the Church invented the notion of Indulgences – where you could cleanse yourself of your sins, first, by good works [a crusade]; or by charitable donations; of just – by a straight donation, known as an Indulgence. In this way, you could move quickly through purgatory and into the bliss of Heaven. The financial income was so beneficial to the Church that it began to encourage the public to purchase Indulgences, not for themselves, but for their dead relatives!
I compare this to the Climate Change and Carbon Tax. Again, the government/church has to set up a basic infrastructure – which is without empirical proof, ie, that Man, as a Sinner, is responsible for the current climate change. This same government/church is unable to provide us with the ratios between the natural causes of climate change [which has existed since the planet was formed] such a sun, volcanic activity, ocean activity – and the assumed ‘unnatural cause’ of Man-as-Sinner. Nevertheless, like the Three Domains and Man as Sinner, we are expected to accept this infrastructure and, chastise ourselves with the modern form of Indulgences; aka, the Carbon Tax.
Wohoo!!! Premier Ford finally has a meltdown on TV about this imposed Carbon Tax and also being screwed by Trudeau on these transfer payments.
Like he said…
How the hell can our country be more competitive as we add another 30% tax on everything.
On top of this crushing economic Pandemic. Trudeau has only covered 20% and the Province has been burdened with the rest.
