    1. From Joe Friday to Joe Blow you away in the blink of an eye? Sorry … the best I could muster.

In a related story … why do I bother to pay my auto insurance policy? Ohhh yeahhhh … because I actually HAVE assets that some scumbag and their scumbag lawyer would come after if I lived Law-free like Gascon’s constituents.

  1. The tell is what they say they are most concerned about.
It all about making sure the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed, but not those seeking medical attention.

    1. I was at a certain firm in Fort St. John yesterday and I was chatting with two members of the staff about the situation. One young lady was absolutely convinced that there’s a raging epidemic in Alberta (“2000 new cases!”). Her colleague quickly countered that with a comment that one of her relatives works in a hospital in the province and that person’s section is empty. Cases? What cases?

      1. Cases yes, but the niggling detail about the number of cases that require hospitalization is left out.
A healthy adult gets a cold and it’s a day off work, compared to an AIDS patient getting a sinus infection that could be fatal.
Context seems to be ignored, neglected, or outright obfuscated.
Then there is the juxtaposition of the same people insisting there is no COVID conspiracy are the same ones that insist that man-made global warming is real.

I take the position that it’s not the rain that is getting my shoes wet.

        1. When one hears the death statistics, we’re supposed to believe that each of the fatalities were due to the virus.

As I mentioned to the young ladies yesterday, that’s rarely certain, citing what happened with my father. The medical examination found a number of things wrong with him, but no clear evidence of a single cause of death. Even if an autopsy had been conducted, it might have been inconclusive, unlike what people are led to believe from detective shows on TV.

The medical examiner simply made an educated guess as to what my father died from.

Similarly, many of those who succumbed during this phony plague may have died with the virus but not necessarily from it. Many people don’t understand that and it’s also politically convenient to claim each death had the bug as the cause.

Remember what Mark Twain said about lies and statistics.

          1. BA- I think that’s a key point. Many people – in fact, I suggest the majority, might have died WITH the virus, but not necessarily FROM it.
And the tests, as so many outline, are inconclusive and superficial. Testing positive doesn’t mean, for certain, that you actually have Covid 19, and, the majority of cases are asymptomatic, ie, the body has adjusted to the intrusive virus – as it does with so many other intrusive viruses and bacteria.

The real data is ‘hospitalization’ FROM [not with] the virus and deaths FROM [not with] the virus. We don’t have that data. Instead, we have power-grabs and fear-mongering – and economic implosion.

          2. We don’t have that data. Instead, we have power-grabs and fear-mongering – and economic implosion.

We’re not allowed to see the data because it’s used for political purposes, as we’ve already noticed.

        2. Exactly
I have work international and have friends who had the COVID in various places.. Nigeria , Estonia , Croatia and most recent as of Sunday a guy and wife in a flat in London and others that they know. Not one has been to a hospital and have been given zero medication. The most recent cases mentioned in London they have to isolate and big brother installed an app in phones to track them.. They got tested because a bit of sick stomach and really tired.. exhausted .. have not even seen a doctor and 2 kids at home.. so just resting a while…

      2. BA, tests are considered cases, false positives, dead virus, it doesn’t matter, all are cases according to the fools running this shit show. Was looking at hospitals around America and the percentages of beds being used for virus cases, from what info I could find, there are at most 16 to 17% of beds being used in the so called worst hit areas. Yep, as Joseph said it is not rain that is getting his shoes wet.

  2. In related news CNN is outraged this morning that protesters were in front of the mansion of the governor of Michigan. CNN explains that they should have been arrested. Protests should only be allowed in front of the homes of Republicans. And of course Antifa should be allowed to rampage through residential streets.

    1. “And of course Antifa should be allowed to rampage through residential streets.”

      – They only rampage through Democrat streets – when they try it in Republican streets, they get seen-off with extreme prejudice. And it’s spreading into Democrat areas – through Instapundit: http://ace.mu.nu/archives/391593.php – which suggests even Dem voters have had it.

The pendulum can only swing so far. And now with COVID fascism calling frantically for more Climate Change fascism to come and bolster its fear-factor, I get the feeling that people are beginning to get just a little sick and tired of it all. This does not bode well for a spate of Dem incumbents, and it’ll be so sad……

  3. I see they’ll actually consider pressing charges if a thug resisting arrest actually succeeds in killing a cop. Are LA’s finest supposed to be grateful?

    1. Or how about an increase in civil disobedience by conservatives? Or vandalism of law enforcement vehicles or vehicles and property belonging to politicians? Just asking for a friend…

  4. Yea…was chatting with a friend last night; Him Screeching about 20,000 Cases in Alberta and only 90 in Nova Scotia.!!!! I just laughed…and he got pissed..!! “Albertans are fkn ignorant and stupid”…uhuh.

I tried to inform him that due to the actual test used (PCR), it not being able to distinguish between tiny snippets of RNA and that CovSars2 is up to 86% identical to many other common Corona Viruses and as such most are False positives. Given how it (PCR), is being used, one would likely get a positive test from your Christmas tree….

But then again this is someone with Advanced TDS who will “not hear” about election Fraud. I tell him his mind is CLOSED but he disputes that with always saying “show me peer reviewed studies.!!” One who “Believes” Reuters & the BBC are the only worthwhile news sources on the planet. An atheist who constantly posts (FB), crap about Christianity – seems to me he’s still not quite comfortable in his own skin – that will be my next comeback…That Alberta likely tests 2-3 times or greater than what other provinces do blew right over his head

    1. of the 20,000 cases in Alberta, only 812 are in hospital and of that number just over 100 in ICU. With a population of 4,000,000 I’m not worried.

    2. I have heard flu diagnoses have disappeared, as Covid has increased. Could that be because Covid is a real money maker for the hospitals, and flu is not? They say heart attack deaths are way down, too.

  5. I have a question maybe one of the Karens or Lefties can answer.

If Corona-Chan is so deadly, and the pandemic is so horrifyingly dangerous, and if LA (and Toronto!) has to close everything to make sure it doesn’t spread…

…why are the homeless not dying like flies in LA?

Where are the piles of corpses, Karen? Asking for a friend.

      1. Los Angeles county (which ranks as a relative “hot spot,” higher than the state average –
Total cases per 100K population throughout covid: 4562 or 4.562%
Total cases per 100K population last 7 days daily average: 81.1 or .0811%
Total deaths per 100K population throughout: 79 or .079%
Total deaths per 100K population last 7 days daily average: .4 or .0004%

        https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/california-coronavirus-cases.html

Less than three deaths a week as of 8 December 2020. BTW Los Angeles county ranks high in CA cases but low in deaths.
In Canada our cases are rising rapidly but deaths are not following. About 1800 daily cases at outset, 6415 at present.
More than 350% increase. Daily deaths you ask? 169 at the peak, now about 100, so down 40%, most deaths in ON and QC
Like climate change, overwhelmed hospitals and stacked bodies in the case of covid, calamity is in the future, never now.
Politicians are not that stupid. They are lying to their citizens who are letting them get away with it, hoping for the best.

    1. Because much like your internet ID, they are Phantoms, computer generated models. That is where the crap started and why it continues, fake bullshit computer models. The WHO took inaccurate information from a Brit and screwed the whole world. I am right, as in correct and everyone else is freaking wrong. Arrogance, no, just the truth.

      1. You are the right, and yet they didn’t fire the epidemiologist for his ineptitude.

  6. These new style american leaders, did no one seen their signs of insanity before they voted them in ?
If you’ve ever read the Michael Crichton novel State of Fear he outlines perfectly, through one of the characters, what has been going on in the world and why for the last 50 years.

    1. rob, stupid people can’t see past the end of their noses. I been watching what has been going on for over 60 years. same shit different day.

  7. What’s in a “case”? Beer? Wine? Bread? Still have yet to be tested entering or leaving any hospital or medical facility, for the last nine months. Even for surgery. All three of the hospitals I go to have “outbreaks” past or ongoing. And they are generally empty to boot. Aircraft still land at Calgary International, no barbed wire, fenced off “quarantine” areas to be seen. No tent housing. Voluntary “Self isolate” only. Seems a little loosey goosey for all the concern expressed over COVID. If anyone claims they have/had COVID, who’re they hanging out with? Not a single political, or medical soul suggests a prophylactic consisting of plain old vitamin D and C, or getting out in the sun and sucking on a grapefruit, or lemon on a regular basis. Just a bunch of expensive, millionaire enriching “vaccines”….coming “soon”….. maybe. Oh, and those light blue masks they hand you are made in Chinah and do doodley squat protecting you. Any Doctor not pushing “Kon-troll” masks will tell you that. Mr NenXi shoots his mouth off publicly, trying to out govern the elected Premier and government of the day in this Province. He knows best. Better than Notley, too. Well, run for Premier if you think you’ve got all the answers, NenXi.

    1. The COVID police should stake out the people who’ve come off those daily international flights. They can easily get the info they need or just follow them home. They’d make a fortune if they were to nab them going out within the quarantine period.

  8. You can’t overstate the left’s alliance with the criminal element of society considering them social allies of the working class and hence far more palatable than those with a different ideological persuasion.
Which is why Antifa types who were arrested throwing Molotovs at night were released the very next morning.
    In my opinion.

    1. Thugs tend to be of the criminal element. Collectivism always employs thugs, when power is achieved, state thuggery.

Make no mistake. Democrats, bounded in identity and grievance, is a collective of socialists, fascists and megalomaniacs.

Not (classical) liberal, not conservative, not even statist. DeMarxists are well past the idea of the consent of the governed.

Individualism. Statism. Collectivism. Anarchism. Only one of these ideologies eschews war and unlimited government.

      Three guesses. The first two don’t count. (<;

  9. LA DA Pascal actually does support the “broken windows” theory of law enforcement, but only in reverse. He realizes that, by not enforcing the low-level crimes, the violent crime rate will go up. But in this case that is what he wants. He is on the side of criminals, organized crime, and anarchists. The worse LA becomes, the happier he is.

Btw, some of the fault for all this nonsense goes to conservatives and moderates. Why can’t they, for once, organize themselves and run someone with half a brain who actually opposes crime? I am not talking about conservative Republicans here, but moderates, who are more numerous. They get mugged and raped too.

    1. My suggestion is arm yourself and clean the criminals off the streets. If it is necessary to remove those in your way do so.

  10. “Driving without a license.”

So… people who have not passed a drivers test or have had their license removed due to a poor driving record or driving under the influence are now free to jump in the car and go.

How many will die because of this?

    1. I swear that many of the Chinese on the road in Edmonton are either driving without a license or passed their driver’s test by either bribing the examiner or–ahem–some other means, if you know what I mean.

No wonder my auto insurance keeps going up.

  11. of Interest re.: PCR testing per the WestPhalianTimes [link below]

    In part:
“We contacted provincial health authorities and governments in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and New Brunswick to determine the level of sensitivity used in their PCR testing for COVID.
Only two provinces, Quebec and Manitoba, were willing to share their positive-cutoff Ct values, one of the critical statistics used to determine whether the test is finding live virus or viral remnants or possible contamination.

Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Saskatchewan refused to share their PCR testing information. British Columbia said they did not have the “capacity” to retrieve this information.

    ………………………………………………………………………………..

Professor Michael Mina epidemiologist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health suggested that these tests might detect not only live virus but also genetic fragments leftover from previous infection, “akin to finding a hair in a room long after a person has left. It is well established in COVID research that PCR tests might find positives from infections that had ended more than 2 months prior.

He stated: “A lot of the positives that we find are likely people that maybe were contagious last week or a few weeks ago but no longer are, but these tests can still pick up essentially the remnants of the previous infection.”

And he stated that “he would set the cycle threshold at 30, or even less”.

    ……………………………………………………………………………………

The difference between someone testing PCR ‘positive’ versus being contagious:

PCR testing Mike Mina.jpg …………. unable to show this diagram ….. go to the link below

An individual who is tested positive with a cycle count of 20, for example, would definitely need to isolate and self-quarantine because their viral load is likely to be high, making it easier for them to unintentionally spread the virus. However, an individual who tests positive with a cycle count of 35-40 is very likely not contagious and would not require self-isolation because their viral load would be extremely low.

    The rest of the story:

    1. S O B and here this ignorant old guy has known this. Everyone has access to the same info I do why the hell can’t they find and understand it.

      1. why the hell can’t they find and understand it

That assumes that this lack of insight is accidental. Suppose, though, that it isn’t or is accidentally on purpose….

  12. If I remember correctly, law enforcement personnel and public prosecutors are “sworn” individuals – they swear to uphold the laws of the state/county/city.

By specifically refusing to enforce laws passed by state/county/city entities, they are violating their sworn oath.

This is grounds for removal from office, and possibly prosecution for obstruction of justice.

Quite some time back, Rudy Giuliani proved in NYC that ignoring what many people considered to be the “smallest” of crimes leads directly to an explosion in the “largest” of crimes. I know, I was there – I saw (and cowered within ) NYC before Rudy, and then enjoyed a city reborn after he set out to get rid of crime.

Bottom line – if you decline to prosecute criminals, criminals are encouraged to come to your city, and to see just how much they can get away with.
