Later, when ordinary Americans fought back against the lockdowns decimating their livelihoods, stars mocked them as hicks who didn’t understand science and wanted to kill grandma while their paychecks kept a-coming.
Not a nice look. It got worse from there.
The usual celebrity angst against President Trump ramped up, if one can believe that was possible. The ugly comments got uglier, with some directly targeting Trump voters.
You know, the folks who also like to unwind at the local cineplex.
This has all been bullshit from the get go, the flu, the election, Canada, just about everything. the admonition to wake up has been completely lost as no one thinks anymore.
I see some narcissistic “celebs” are in a PSA titled getting naked for the vote or some such.
Sarah Silverman, Chelsea Handler, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Rock just to name a few. These people truly live in an alternate universe. I mean, who comes up with these ideas or better yet…who in their world tells them “yeah for sure, you should totally do it”?
SMFH.
Last time I saw Handler in a video, she was swimming, her face was being pissed on by some dude she was boating with and she either thought this was hilarious or seemed to enjoy it….or both. Absolutely the type of behaviour that makes one want to seek her advice! Willing to admit it was a good look on her though.
A producer I know once said that while actors aren’t stupid (he was a former actor after all), they weren’t famous for anything other than good genes and being lucky at cattle-call auditions when they were younger.
Or, as Ian McKellen said on “Extras”:
“How did I know what to say? They had my lines written down on a script. How did I know where to stand? People showed me.”
Makeup, lighting, hair, multiple takes, and the all important editing suite and these fakes from the fakest business on earth still think they can lecture us on what’s happening in the real world.

Further – Deniro has already been paid gobs of money to do this movie and with residuals he’ll likely make a few bucks there as well. So he probably doesn’t give a shit. However, once producers discover you’re box off poison, there may come a day when the phone will stop ringing.
Deniro has admitted that he’s in debt up to his eyeballs – the hows and whys I don’t know. and probably accounts for why he’s doing cinematic masterpieces like “Meet the Fockers” and “Dirty Grandpa”.

Due to the bubble they live in, if they become moderately successful at pretend, they are treated as someone special in Hollywood, they then think that they really are special, (in a negative way, they are) and think their opinions count in the real world. DeNiro is one of many pretenders that lives in their own fantasy! Only the fawning fans think they matter outside of Hollywood, and any fans of those idiots don’t have a single “valid” opinion either.
Well. Quite apart from the fact that I’d sooner have a root canal than watch that movie, it has Deniro in it. A gentleman who has declared war on my civilization and way of life. Not even on Netflix, boys.
But while we’re on the subject, when is this current crop of Hollywood “writers” going to finally move on and let somebody have a go? That whole trailer was composed of stunts that were old when the Marx Brothers were doing them.
I keep saying that with CGI, actors are redundant. Anyone can make a movie with animated people that look 99.999% real. Do any of these idiots realise how easy they can be replaced?
This technology is really accelerating fast too. By 2030, we will be seeing really good quality content being made by kids in their basements for virtually zero cost.
The movie industry is going the way of the music industry, the print media industry and any other industry that can be digitized, demonetized and democratized.
I dont think they know what is about to hit them. This is really going to sting Netflix too, Disney, Amazon Prime, anyone who is sinking money into media content needs to be very worried. Its a good thing!
Telling stories..
When all we have is tall tales,reality is infinitely more interesting.
The stale old stories from Hollywood reflect an organization dead on its feet.
Zombies are real,Hollywood is full of has beens and dried up shut.
I would love to take in a movie..but there is some paint drying somewhere to watch instead.

for it still haunts my satellite choices.
Whichever eastern cable company had their employees go on strike,strike went on for weeks,management put up a video of a burning yuel log …
When the strike was settled,normal programming resumed.
Lots of subscribers phoned in saying”Put the Log back on”.
Hollywood missed that message.
