  1. Kate, it is betimes good to be busy with non blogging work and activities.
Sometimes I feel like continuing that way indefinitely and retroactively.
That said, thank you for what you do.

  2. Covid-19 restrictions are being employed as a ‘Shock Doctrine.’ The documentary of that name is illuminating.

    1. That could have something to do with the fact that those people who think they’re napoleon have small ones. Napoleon had a very small penis.
They most likely have high walls between the urinals.

It reminds me of the joke about the white guy who was having a leak when a black guy walked up to the urinal next to him. The black guy pulled it out, it was massive, however it was white. The white guy was shocked. ”I’ve been in the army, and I work out at the gym. I’ve seen hundreds of back guys naked, but I’ve never seen one of them who had a white one.” says the white guy. The black guy looks over and says: ”Black guy, what the hell are you talking about? I’m not a black guy, I’m Scottish; a coal miner from Nova Scotia. I just got back from my honeymoon.”

      1. Yes but Napoleon was French:
        “I talk with my hands
        I fight with my feet
and I fuck with my face!”

    1. LOL.
With Greens, NDP, and Justin going all-woke, all the time, maybe vote-splitting will give the Torontonians a Conservative Member of Parliament. One can dream….

      1. Chris I have been dreaming of having a conservative government ever since the first Trudeau was elected, so far it hasn’t happened anywhere in Canada.

  3. “Almost none of this is going to work very well. If the regime means what it says, it has lost its collective mind, the worthy Chrystia Freeland will become King Lear in drag and the whole country will be the victim.” – Conrad Black (comment on Trudeau govt. speech from the throne)

L- So, something of quality, wit and erudition to lift our weary souls, as it did for same back in Elizabethan England’s theatre of Globe and Will Shakespeare.

King Lear, starring Paul Scofield, enjoy theatre most lively, a tonic for both heart and mind.

  4. Miley back after vocal cord surgery.

Not a great cover of Heart of Glass but it is the first performance that I’ve seen the band all wearing masks. I can’t imagine it’s easy. You would have to be young.

When this pandemic fades will future scholars look back at this strange anamoly like we looked back at plague doctors in the era of bubonic plague?

    1. Break out the leaches!
A little blood-letting wouldn’t hurt some of the more hysterical among our society.

    2. If it truly was “the plague” all this insanity would be required. However……

      1. She doesn’t sing the song. She brays it.

At least it’s not as bad as Britney Spears’ cover of Satisfaction or Celine Dion’s version of AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long.

  5. The Liberals’ “Infrastructure Bank,” that is almost five years old and has built no actual infrastructure has had its true purpose finally exposed for all to see Iie. Liberal slush-fund). And Paul Wells of Macleans Magazine, one of the most centrist, grounded (and kinda boring) Ottawa writers has a caustic and quietly sarcastic eulogy. It is always fun and satisfying to read the work of an Ottawa political-insider when he starts to finally realize that Liberals are un-serious and profoundly evil. This is the kind of article you can forward to your insufferable left-wing relatives because they can’t dismiss the messenger as some raving right-winger. https://www.macleans.ca/politics/ottawa/farewell-then-canada-infrastructure-bank/

    1. Chris, as with all government ventures it is just one more very deep dark hole for taxpayer money to vanish into.

      1. And her response will be that she doesn’t have time for anybody who denies those projects exist.

    1. I watched the Big C McKenna flap her gums – she has an extremely distasteful voice and speaking manner – the other day. She seemed annoyed at being questioned and provided no answers. I guess she learned that from Juthtin, PM Weirdo Trudeau II.

  6. CNN reports this morning that Trump is actually posting videos from a hospital bed in Moscow.

    1. I take enough vitamin D each day that I set off Geiger counters. Enough vitamin C that my urine runs green.

  7. It makes sense that the CBC is excited about the Trump/Biden skit on Saturday Night Live. Nobody watches the CBC or Saturday Night Live.

  8. Mo Brooks: ‘I Am Starting to Develop Questions About Whether We Want Anybody from the Ivy League’ on the Supreme Court

    https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2020/10/03/mo-brooks-i-am-starting-to-develop-questions-about-whether-we-want-anybody-from-the-ivy-league-on-the-supreme-court/

“For some reason, these justices from the Ivy League seem to, not always, but seem to more often than they should believe that it is perfectly OK for them to substitute their public policy beliefs for those of our elected officials. Well, when you do that, you’re subverting our United States Constitution. You’re subverting our republic.”

An important topic that I hope will gain some traction with Republicans instead of the idea just evaporating like a fart in the wind. Ivy League schools are clearly training their students to be anti-American.

Trump banning Critical Race Theory in federal institutions was a great first step in the right direction.

  9. Reading a fabulous book on Jordan Peterson written by Jim Proser. Savage Messiah covers his family life and his career as a professor. Touches on all the subjects we see posted on SDA. His battle with depression is an ongoing medical odyssey. I thought this was a crucial statement along with Peterson’s coverage of the disaster of our Marxist universities touching on all the insane things we see today with our woke snowflakes. Here is one of them

Robert Putnam, a Harvard political scientist spent 6 years on his book Better Together which, though unintentional, showed that inclusion and diversity was a disaster for a society. Michael Jonas of the Boston Globe summarized the study.

“The greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity and work on community projects. In the most diverse communities, neighbours trust one another about half as much as they do in the most homogenous settings. The study, the largest ever on civic engagement in America, found that virtually all measures of civic health are lower in more diverse settings.”

    1. Congratulations, MikeT. She’s from Millarville, which is a recommendation in itself. Believe Mrs Harper is also from that neighbourhood. Did, however, like the comment after the Sun’s article to the effect that the headline should have read “Best person for the job gets the job”.

    1. I agree the sheriffs went way over the top here. What I don’t agree to is that the victim was as innocent as he claims. He very likely mouthed off the sherif that approached him. I knew a small number of farmers that operated machinery when they shouldn’t have even been walking they would be so drunk. It is not unreasonable to ask a tractor operator to submit to a roadside sobriety test. The kid should have just shut off the tractor and said, “Fine, I’ll play your little game.” Later, he and his dad could go after their MLA and ask why they hire idiots who cannot tell the difference between sober and drunk. Just like the drunk Chief, you’re usually the author of you own misfortune.

      1. I have never known anyone to farm while drunk. These clueless half-whit knobs were simply being clueless half-whit knobs. Stopping a tractor in farm country in the morning for impaired driving has to be pretty much the stupidest thing a cop could do. It’s way up there with the Lethbridge Police high-risk take-down of an Imperial storm Trooper. Alberta Sheriffs are exceedingly stupid.

        1. But I have encountered such drunks. Being a farmer doesn’t exempt one from alcoholism. Some of them even claim they go to church everyday and twice on Sunday.

        2. Apparently the checkstop was in the evening; the kid had been working all day and was trying to get to the last field so he could finish and go home. The narrative is that the kid, being home-schooled, did not understand the whole breathalyser bit and – after a day’s hard work – was tired and slow to react. That being said, I agree the Alberta sheriffs were totally unprofessional.

    1. Agreed, Nancy, and what comes across is their sincerity. The one biker taking pictures was jarring; everyone else was kneeling and praying.

      1. Frances,
Yes, it’s quite a contrast compared with the meanspiritedness from some Democrats, including the MSM.

  10. Dear Pope Francis,

Go pound sand. Go pound all of it, you filthy communist POS.

    Very Respectfully,

    Decent People Everywhere

  11. CNN is in an uproar that Trump is currently being driven around in a car. He is putting his staff at risk of dying and could be spreading the virus all over Washington. James Clapper is currently being asked for his opinion. Expect a discussion on CNN with Clapper that Trump is heading for the airport to flee to Russia.
