The 1776 Commission

“Teaching this horrible doctrine to our children is a form of child abuse in the truest sense of those words. For many years now the radicals have mistaken Americans’ silence for weakness. But they’re wrong. … American parents are not going to accept indoctrination in our schools, cancel culture in our work, or the repression of our traditional faith, culture, and values in the public square. Not any more.

  1. Seems like there is a missing < / em or < / i

Vote like your life depends on it — because it does.

When Obama, Clinton, Biden, any of them say it, it’s a threat. When Trump says it, it’s the simple truth.

    Scott Moe will never tell.
    Scheer will tell you.
    Wall will never tell you.
    Kenney will never tell you.
If O’Toole says it, just take it the same as you would from Trudeau, because they have all the same policies, all the same consultants, all the same friends, all the same lobbyists take them to dinner at all the same clubs, … .

Remember how you coulda had Max, but you decided what we have now would be better?

    1. ” ,,, because they have all the same policies, all the same consultants, all the same friends, all the same lobbyists take them to dinner at all the same clubs, … ”

Well, at least a few of us get it, eh Kevin?

    2. No, we couldn’t have had Max.
30% of Canadians are, at best centrists, but claim to be conservative.
At least 60% of Canadians are hard-core lefties and Max scares the Trudeau vote out of them…even though he’s not very far to the right.
It seems we need to go to hell to find our redemption.

      1. Aye.

Only 1.6 percent of the electorate is conservative. All the rest … pinkies and reds.

      2. Yes Buddy and a few people, far too few, are beginning to realize what I have been saying for decades.

  2. This is the greatest thing Trump has done. What a man, what a president. GOAT.

Not that his other achievements were minor, but he has identified the enemy, and taken action.

  3. Will be interesting to see if Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, will give credit where due on the fight back against CRT.

or if their TDS will consume them.

      1. IIRC, Heying and Weinstein already spoke positively about Trumps EO against teaching CRT. I expect they will be on board. [fingers crossed]

I noted Sam Harris spoke in favor of the Harpers milquetoast letter, but nada about Trump’s call to arms against CRT. TDS is truly debilitating.

      2. Ok, you guys are now speaking in acronyms and name references to us, well me anyways, that are less informed.
Don’t get me wrong…I think that Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins are benighted dolts, regardless of the context in which you reference them in this particular instance.
That aside, the president just laid it down in a speech for the ages.
Oh, and what is the CRT.
As for Weinstein, Heying pair…are they really relevant to all this.
Being sincere, and just trying to understand the insider references here.

        1. Am not trying to be obscure Steve.

Many folks on left, right, centrist see Critical Race Theory (CRT) as the root of what is rotting western civilization. CRT is the frankensteinian spawn of post modernism and marxism.

Intellectuals on the left (Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, etc) have noticed the creep of CRT for decades. They speak out against it. They want it stopped. In comes Trump, and unlike every politician of the last 30 years, he calls BS on systemic racism, white privilege, and now CRT. A call to arms against CRT.

And to the prev discussion, what is truly odd is that while Harris etc. seem to fully understand that the real danger of CRT, they will likely stay quiet on Trumps excellent move… because of their Trump Derangement Syndrome. Because Orange Man Bad. Because , for them, admitting that Trump did something right is far far worse than fighting the dangerous rot that is destroying western civilization.

  4. ’twill be interesting to see the MSM take on this inspiring speech, and that includes Fox News.
Now someone put that on a teleprompter and ask Biden to give it.

    1. “Uhh, you know that thing. Uhh. Come on man. If you don’t vote for me you aint black.”
      – close enough?

    1. There are some sacred cows I would like to see gored, things that not even Reagan got done. Like the Board of Education.

But, Trump is definitely doing a lot of things that sane people can agree, are good.

I don’t know if Ted Cruz, who was my first choice, would have done this. Don’t know if he would have done all the same things, most of them, or even any, but there would have at least been a chance with him. Rubio, all the rest, guaranteed zero.

      1. Kevin – Cruz was my first choice as well. His take down of the head of the WWF (not the wrestlers) was brilliant. His comment on New Yorker’s, which Trump used against him, not so much.

      2. There is no one that would have the guts and see it through.
        Nobody.
They may have wanted to, though spirit is weak. Probably would not even mention it.
Trump is an independent guy, they absolutely, positively, hate his guts. Though in their minds admire the pure force that the guy commands.
When the mayhem started Trump said something that stood out, told the idiot mayors to “dominate the streets”, that is his operative word, “dominate”, go in it with all you got.
What have you got to lose?
No ideology, just get things done.

      1. Always nice to see a government department downsizing and of course some regulatory reform.
        But SHRINKING the Fed government!?!?
        With the — what — 28 T debt, a deficit of around 4 T.
An utterly out of control Federal Reserve.
Trump has zero interest in fiscal responsibility and as a real estate man he’s good with zero bound interest rates.
TRUE, Reagan did not shrink the Fed government but neither has Trump. You should never forgive “my president” either.

  5. One of the most frightening speeches I have ever heard. Stop him! Justin needs to beat him up. STOP HIM!!

    1. Actually the last guy to go up against Trudeau got his ass beat. Remember all brawn and no brains Brazeau? The guy talked so much smack and thought he would just knock out Jr in the first 30 seconds. All he did was blow his load early and had no stamina left and Trudeau kicked his ass. So embarrassing.

  6. I see the Max fever still infects this blog. This shows that you are fools and sh*tbrains. I know it is surprising to hear intelligent conservative commentary, and Max provides that now and then, but his good sense is swamped by his vacillations. He is a weak man whose strongest characteristic is envy. That is why he lost so thoroughly.

  7. Imagine a Canadian Conservative talking like this.
Imagine CPC candidates even thinking in these terms. They’re all trying to figure out how to be more Liberal so they can win the precious Ontario suburbs.
Erin O’Toole is stuck in Romney 2012 mode. Or more precisely Paul Martin-2004 mode.

    1. Yep, spot on there. I look at them, listen to their stumping, read their letters, look at there policies. I have not yet found a difference between the Liberal party policy book, the CPoC book, the Green book, the NDP book, … .
