Ryan Hartwig worked for years as a censorship contractor for Facebook.
Hartwig was based in Phoenix, Arizona, one of 1,500 censors working in shifts around the clock, deleting up to 200 post per day, each.
One of the jobs that this army of secret censors had was to interfere in the 2019 Canadian federal election.
Hartwig and the other Facebook deleters were given specific instructions on what to delete — including certain comments that were critical of NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, or certain criticisms of Canada’s open-borders immigration policy.

Never mind that this was highly unlikely in and of itself, and if Justin believed it himself it would be because his minions rarely tell the whole truth even to him.
Governments are not the only foreign threats to a country’s self-government. Facebook is a kingdom in and of itself, effectively answerable to no one save its shareholders, and it clearly gave tacit support to politicians worldwide who would do what Facebook wanted.
(So are the world’s major banks, who prefer to lend to national governments who do what they want, viz. keep their peoples in debt-peonage.)

I do recall that on the day following the Oct. 19, 2015 Federal Election, I commented on CBC.Ca. My comment was, ”One day into the new government, and I’m already missing Stephen Harper. ” I can’t recall what the news topic was, however my comment was deleted immediately. I couldn’t believe it.
The next morning I e-mailed a few friends who I had worked with in the federal election campaign, along with my CPC MP who had just won with a landslide in our riding, and who I knew personally. . To date, and to the best of my knowledge, no one has ever done anything about it. And while I do realize that there was little they could do while in opposition, it would have been nice to see moral support . Today of course, the CBC’s audience has dropped drastically, however Facebook and other providers are slowly filling the gap. . As a matter of fact, I’m getting off the National Post website for the same reason. Having comments deleted for political reasons. The NP is slowly transforming into a Liberal paper.
The solution is in getting out there and raising hell about it, like the Rebel News just has done.
