  1. Great video. Here is my comment. There is a lot of truth to the idea that we are not very interesting. The Israeli Ambassador said in a talk in Winnipeg in 1995 or so that he longed for the day when their biggest issue was whether or not to legalize marijuana and let gays marry. However, I for one am sick and tired of being a second class citizen in my own country where even the air we breathe is taxed and I firmly believe the west must separate. That is the only solution for second class people like me, the others, the ones not in the special classes.

        It’s an odd verbal tic; the “no doot aboot it” thing comes from the large number of Scots-Irish immigrants to Canada, much like the “Minnesota accent” derives from the large number of Scandinavian immigrants to the area in the 19th century.

        Thing is even after centuries of linguistic drift, you don’t get just one unique vowel shift like that. Even if his parents were first-generation Scottish, you should hear the accent in a lot of other vowel sounds and consonant shifts.

            Cost of living is no where close to Toronto or Montreal.

            As are cars. I just bought one here and looked hard at buying in Ontario.
            And I often put in my old postal code to see if Home Depot is charging a Maritime surcharge.
            Turns out rarely, negligibly and no matter anyway with Amazon and the internet these days.

            Moncton has 2 major hospitals as does Saint John.
            I’ve been to hospitals in TO and NB, and I’ll take NB 10 times out of 10.

      2. My great grandmother was raised a serf (in what is now Poland) in the 1880s. I know this because her father died (along with her older brother) of typhus, and the lord of the manor took care of her and her mother so they didn’t starve.

          One story that was presented concerned a certain university professor. In one of his courses, he had a large number of black students and he got onto the topic of slavery in one of his lectures.

          He mentioned that he understood all about that, being Jewish, the reference being the Old Testament accounts of the ancient Israelites becoming slaves in Egypt. That didn’t sit well with the blacks, for some reason. Presumably anybody who wasn’t of African ancestry couldn’t be a slave.

          If I remember correctly, the professor apologized to them, but it wasn’t enough to satisfy his detractors. The result was a long drawn-out grievance process which, I recall, didn’t end well for him.

Peeair knew that to destroy Canada he must divide its people and thus weaken the whole idea of being, “Canadian”… estrange the people and estrange the country. Offering some Canadian groups “special status” while forcing lesser Canadians to pay for that specialness sets up a poisonous atmosphere that breeds divisiveness and resentment, but keeps the dying corpse alive long enough for the charade to continue. Peeair Trudowe was an evil malice driven little psychopath who was envious of the English nation of Canada and all her achievements. Peeair devised and imposed a blueprint to divide and destroy Canada… and it worked like a charm.

      He removed all federal references to the country’s British heritage by emphasizing “Canada”. That’s why we have those ridiculous department names (e. g., the Dominion Bureau of Statistics is now Statistics Canada).

      It was part of his campaign to eradicate any connection with what he saw as a foreign occupying power. I’m convinced that he, like his fellow countrymen (i. e., Quebeckers) did it out of revenge for Wolfe winning over Montcalm. It makes one wonder just what exactly his views on the FLQ really were.

      1. He was laughed at and bullied by his French Canadian classmates at Brébeuf for his bilingualism. While his mother was bilingual, they spoke mostly English at home. (Maybe, he was teacher’s pet in English class?)

        He lived at home with his mother well into his 40s, they would travel together on vacation. Since his father died when Pierre was 15, he was spoiled by Mother. They had a cook, chauffeur and maids. His siblings were married at a fairly young age and left home.

        If he was a real French Canadian gentleman, in the truest sense, he would’ve married a French Canadian woman. There was one that he wrote to when he lived and studied in Paris who loved him. When he chickened out, she married someone else. His years of therapy was concurrent with this aforementioned intellectual affair.

        Pierre likely wanted to show his friends that he was somebody powerful and get even. He showed them that he was not a “maudit Anglais.” The rest is history, he trashed the English and English Canada.

        P.S. They are still embarrassed at losing to Wolfe! They OPENED the locked gate, with the English on the OUTSIDE.
        How DUMB was that?

  19. Canada is a Communist State and has been officially since 1982. Trudeau pretended to give us a Constitution and added his Marxism right into the document. His word “Equalization” is just his word for “From Each According To His Means, To Each According To His Needs” MARXISM 101.
    Canada is not going to survive this, there are acres and acres of oil field equipment being auctioned off, you all heard stories of how Albertans suffered under PET when he tried to do his Chavez/Castro move on Alberta Oil.
    How many lost their homes, how many committed suicide etc. Well this is 100 times worse my fellow Alberta Patriots.
    Much Much worse. Even Independence as a separate country is not enough.
    I have come to realize the best chance for Albertans is to probably petition for Statehood Status within the USA.
    The first Province to go whether it is Alberta or her sister Sask. remains to be seen. But it will be like a tidal wave washing through the west.
    The new Canada will just be Ontario east. And something new will be born. I feel it is being birthed now.
    And when you think about it a wee bit. Joining the USA makes the most sense. America buys 80% of everything Alberta produces, oil, gas, forestry, beef, etc. Canada will never ever give us an equal voice and treats us like a colony.
    Inside the USA as citizens , we will have lower taxes, no French horse shit, an unlimited access to a very large wealthy market, our children will have access to a real future. And we will have unlimited access to those warm Texas beaches in the winter.
    And Atlantic Canada can trade with Quebec, cod tongues and seal flippers for maple syrup they can equalize that in 2 official languages. Get out Alberta, go UDI go 51st State. WEXIT2USA

      What if the Democrats won in the U.S.A. with another HOPE & CHANGE candidate with a Barry Obama type of HOPE & DREAM campaign. Then everything Donald Trump did, would sadly be dismantled.

      You know that China owns the U.S. too — that’s why China wants this particular POTUS out. The next POTUS they know they can bribe and buy. Trump was a one in a million type of candidate. America, I fear, might be like Canada in November or 2024/2025 in January, after the inauguration of POTUS #46.

      We could be in WW III by then.

  20. My bias and contempt for the first Trudeau is that he acted in complete contradiction to what he said.
    He talked a great game against collective rights, but then imposed bi-lingualism.
    He did this with such ease and frequency that the only explanation was that this was done with malice.

    His final insult was imposing a constitution that is all about preserving government.
    Mulroney seemed no different in that he also wanted to change the constitution by out trudeauing Trudeau.

    Thankfully nature abhors a vacuum and no matter what legal fiction is written to protect government, they all fail because they always run out of other people’s money.
