   Whenever a Chinese national wants to emigrate from China and leave in any other country, they have to sign up to the People’s Liberation Army, regardless of whether they are of draft age, sex, or of whether they had already completed their service. They become soldiers of the PLA and must follow the orders of their commanding officers in China. If they disobey any order, they may be executed whenever they return. No one dares to disobey. Canada has a bigger problem than 1 Russian student or 1 Russian retirement age woman. But facts and reality does not matter when you can spin them for your own goals.

Of hundreds of incidents, only a tiny handful had anything to do with what is traditionally considered “assault rifles”: AR-15 and the likes. None of the incidents involving AR-15 or similar firearms was violent. All of them had been seized during the execution of drug warrants. Only a small portion of incidents with firearms were violent: murder, attempted murder, assault. Hundreds of incidents were about discovering a handgun once a drug bust was underway. Canadian government and law enforcement focus on a tiny fraction of incidents that have practically zero impact on public safety. Have always been.
