  1. Way to screw over anyone who was planning their time and booking early for hotels and flights and days off work and such. Of course what regular members can afford the 800 dollar or so entry fee anyways.

    1. Christmas wish list item I gave to Santa:

“I Donald Trump have today issued Executive order Number 5439. In this order I have instructed the Socialist do-nothings over at the State Department to allow all Canadian Conservatives, Libertarians and Communist Haters claiming refugee status from Trudeauistan
to be allowed immediate entry into the US. Each person gets a $100,000 voucher for housing and transportation as well as immediate social security numbers and drivers licenses.

“I am now working on Executive Order 5440 for similar refugee status for all persecuted Europeans.”

  2. We have a minority government, it could fall at anytime. The longer the Conservatives postpone their convention, the less time a new leader will have before an election. Which could also mean the Liberals staging their own defeat to take advantage of that.

    Scheer stupidity is right.

    1. That won’t happen.
Too many new MPs elected in 2015 & re-elected in 2019 mean they won’t be eligible for gold plated pensions until 2021. (6 years)

We’ll see an election no earlier than November 2021.

      1. Pigs at the trough… Remember when the Reform party was going to abolish gold plated pensions for politicians ? Ha, ha, that was a good one… I know I fell for it… This was before the Reform Party got contacted by the eastern Mafia and were told, “what it is”. #WEXIT.

        1. OK, does it really matter? All my fairly long life not one election has done anything to improve anything in Canada. It has all been BS and bafflegab ending in higher taxes and more government and more takers at the trough.

        2. “We will never see another election.”

If the Chinese do allow an election it will be in 2023, right on schedule. Why would the Bloc overturn a Quebec prime minister? They would likely lose half their seats and elect an Anglo PM in the process. Above all their other principles, the Bloc are anti-Anglo racists.

          1. Old White Guy, that is true. Canadians don’t demand a better class of people to occupy seats and they don’t deserve them.

Scar, I doubt there will be an intact country by the time China wants to run through the pretense of an election (which won’t happen).

I doubt we will even have our own Tienanmen Square. As long as people get their beer and weed, why rock the political boat?

    2. JD, if it isn’t obvious the CPC loyalists that Scheer has NO hope of ever winning an election against Justin Trudeau, then they truly ARE, as many here have said,”the Party of stupid”. This move is inexplicable, only sense it would make is if the CPC has a “superstar ” in the wings they are trying to convince to run. Who that could be I can’t imagine.
Trudeau is safe in the PM’s Office for the next four years, he has no Opposition to speak of.

    3. I agree wholeheartedly with jd here.

      What if?

What if elections are triggered – say in June? Then Pandy Scheer is running again as leader of the Centrist Party of Canada?
Last elections was his to lose; he couldn’t even beat the worse PM in history. That’s the #LibCons way I guess.

I still remember when Scheer supporters like Manny Ottawa would shit on me because I supported Maxime Bernier.
Those #LibCons and other CINOs got their asses rendered two months ago. The CPC had to move its doctrine more to the left and to the point there were many similarities between LPC and CPC platforms. They offered nothing, except that #TrudeauMustGo thingy.

The PPC remains the only true common sense conservative party left in Canada. No gimmicks and no pandering.

Thw #WEXIT vote will hurt the CPC votes further out west. I can see the CPC being marginalized to a 40-50 seat party.

  3. @NatashaFatah
Hey Tom, what are you hearing. We’ve been told the policy convention has been pushed back to November.”

Heh …. as usual the “journalist” is the last to know.

Scheer and the juniors at the secretariat of the C …. (make it what you will) …. party of Canada seem to be confused.

To tell you from experience, the apparatchiks at the central committee of the C party of Canada are not interested what the voter thinks, they have an agenda and that does not include you.

  4. is this an effort to give the scheep another kick at the can if the libtard gobbermint falls early???

    or just plain cuckservative stupidity

  5. WEXIT already.
I too care nothing about what the second rate Liberal party of Can Ahh Duh does.
There are no conservatives in the C.P.C,nice “big tent” in which no one is allowed.
Not one cent more, that ship has sailed and sunk.
    The West Wants IN?
    We done with that.
By the way, with all these pretenders claiming they support Can Ahh Duh’s Unity, has any of them made the case for the continuation of Confederation?
cause I would be fascinated to read such a “case”.

    1. the closest thing we had to a Trump was Max Bernier

I m not saying Max Bernier was a great choice ( he was certainly not bad either ) , but at least he was a bit like Trump

but almost no one in Canada voted for Bernier

Canadians will never be ready for a Trump

Canadians will slowly vanish and slowly be replaced by all the migrants friends of the liberal party

Canada will be the Babel tower before the end of this century

      1. No Bernier’s American analogue is Ted Cruz – inflexible to the point of political ruin.

Trump is far far more moderate – compromising than Bernier.

      2. The vote for Max simply proved what I have been saying for decades, there really are no conservatives in Canada.

  6. “The Conservatives said the party’s National Council voted Friday to delay the policy convention ‘so greater focus could be given to the details and organization around the Conservative leadership election process.'”

In other words, to design the process such that there is no fair chance for any candidate not approved by Beijing or Bay Street—never mind a Trump.

  7. So basicaly, they just acquiesced to the liberals agenda for another 12-18 months. Couldn’t face a campaign until 2021.

If I were NDP I’d bring the government down in September and make Sheer fail another election while the conservatives struggle to destroy Rona and walkMcKay down the red-conservative garden path.

Another 7-10 years of the costumed clown and I’m gonna start developing Stockholm syndrome.

    1. Nice try, but the Bloqheads can prop up Dopey and his Fibs, vote after vote after vote. The DIps have no real control, if Dopey decides that Quebec rules the country. Why would he ever oppose that?

  8. I’m glad to see that I’m not alone in my anger against the CPC! I’m one person who refuses to blame Andrew Scheer for the Conservative defeat. I blame the tax credits that the Trudeau government gave the mainstream media, and the constant bashing that the Conservatives got by the CBC, the CTV and other leftist propaganda paid for by Trudeau. Just watch the CTV News Network. They go after the Conservative Party almost every day. Then they bring in a political scientist from some University that will answer their questions and give them the answer they were looking for. If by chance the guest gives the the wrong answer, the sound goes off, and they say, ”Sorry, we seem to be experiencing technical difficulty.”
I do however believe that Scheer could have made much better gains in Ontario and Quebec had he been a crook like Justin Trudeau. And I realize that he could have made empty promises like Trudeau had. (Ex: The Liberals were going to raise Old Age Security. Ya right!! ) That’s why people voted for Scheer, they trusted him.

    1. About 20 years late with that analysis Drifter.

      Been happening since the 90s

CPC and Scheer are run by laurentian elite. Too many conservatives know this.

    2. And you can blame the Globalist Harper. He had an Iron Clad Majority and left the CBC and all of Canada’s Tax Funded Media in place. He was a liar and a Globalist. He was never a Conservative. He had his Majority and no opposition and he stood and pissed his pants and did his CLOWN SMILE. Same dumb ass lines. And he did not have a succession plan. He should have gutted programs and had his star replacement in the wings and handed off to him/her after he finished off the CBC and all gun control and as many programs as possible. You can never win in Canada by voting in a RIGGED Election and your only choices are various shades of Communists. Get out Alberta and Sask. It is going to get worse. UDI Alberta UDI. The only vote worth having in Communist Canada.

      1. And he would have been out on his ass, Watcher. Confronted with a real conservative – the hogs at the trough out est would tear him to shreds. Financial, ethical and moral responsibility is not a value or priority for them and hasn’t been for a long, long time. This country was seriously pozzed long, long before Harper. Our fate was sealed when Turdo The Elder decided to turn the country against itself.

    1. Wrt to themselves, no, the CP does not have a death wish. They get re-elected no matter how crappy a job they do. But they are indifferent to what happens to conservative voters. The LaurentianCons, in fact, look down on their voters as ignorant rubes who don’t appreciate what a great job their masters are doing, for example, with the mandates of the Paris Accord. They feel the conservative voters should be very grateful for their “ service”.

  9. I’ve never kidded myself about what my vote for the PPC stood for. It was a desperate attempt to create an actual right-of-centre venue for conservatives, akin to desperately blowing on an ember to try and stave off freezing in the wilderness.

So, apart from the loooooong shot of a strong and spirited ‘outsider’ entering any future leadership race, I think the CPC is dead to me, too. They are so heavily infected with political correctness and identity politics that I am not sure it can ever be purged.

I suspect next election, I will have no choice but to go back to rubbing two sticks together…

    1. With the emergence of a #WEXIT party in Saskaberta, both PPC and the fake conservative party of Canada will get somewhat obliterated into nothingness.

  10. I think something’s brewing, Prince selfie sox has passed on every duty except the ceremonial ones to the strutter in red, another Scandal? Point grey revelations,? easy exit for a psycopath

    1. Cal2: I think Sock Puppet has something up his sock…hoping to get a seat at the UN and will have strutter in red to take over. Wasn’t she born to Nazi’s Communism is in her blood she will hope to get the vote and to continue Sock Puppets work to destroy the Canada Canadians know and love…this is my thought!

  11. I’m going to retire and execute this dividend income tax plan:
    https://business.financialpost.com/personal-finance/you-can-earn-50k-in-tax-free-dividends-but-theres-a-catch-you-cant-have-a-job

I’m pretty sure I can ride out this government for as long as necessary on $50k in dividend income. I just don’t see myself continuing to go to a job I detest so that half my earnings can go to the Liberals and then to the UN or George Soros or SNC Lavalin. I’m so sick of this country.

    1. Dividends (in Canada) are taxed at a lower rate because the income earned by the company is already taxed at the corporate level. As a pensioner (and there are choices to be made) you are likely earning $15 – 20 grand already in government pensions. Because of this income the 50k tax free would likely be reduced to $10 – 20k depending on province. To earn $50k in dividends you would likely have to invest $2 million, give or take. If you are risking $2 million solely on the basis of saving a grand or two in taxes, there are words for you.

    2. Well, you can bet that the $28 Billion borrowed every year, could also be used to fund Soros, third world dictators, native leaders and their overseas accounts, and other nefarious Liberal agendas too. Yes, it would be nice to live on Dividend income alone, but the investment necessary is, either a lottery win, or selling your home in Vancouver or Cheranna for the windfall. Nice if you can do that.
Besides, it appears that the Libs may have been to cute by half, they are now being warned by the Canadian Banks that those deficits are too large, a secondary effect of priming the economy with all that extra borrowing is having an effect on inflation, and, it wouldnt be a surprise if the IMF and/or the World Bank also slaps Moroneau’s and Dopey’s wrists for their profligate and reckless borrowing habits. Those two idiots will pay attention to their globalist european betters at that point, its unfortunate that they lack the common sense to know better, nor do Liberal voters,

  12. Personally I don’t care what the CPC or LPC or the NDP or the PPC or the GPC does or doesn’t do. Alberta Independence is the only way forward. I hope SK joins and makes it Wexit.

    1. Ray – 100% Agreed.

Nothing will change…it wont be ALLOWED to change and therefore WEXIT is the ONLY choice westerners have. The difficulty is getting a majority of those that live in the West to understand that salient point. It means lots of foot sloggin and ensuring that message gets out…WE HAVE NO CHOICE.

      I’ve been waiting since 1981…

  13. I think it is great that the convention was switched to November. The policy process (regional meetings, delegate selection meetings, etc.) was already rushed after the election, and November gives more time to have a leadership race first.

Mid-April is too early to have a proper leadership race. If it was that early it could become a coronation that no one gets involved in.

The whole purpose of the April convention was to get the leadership review over with, or outline policy for a Conservative government. Neither are the case now.

Neither the Bloc or the NDP will bring the government down anytime soon. They think they hold the balance of power, the NDP is struggling and the Bloc was just resurrected to hold 3x the seats from last election, both of them could lose if they bring the Liberals down.

      1. There are noises in the corporate media cartel that Jean Charest may be running in the CPC leadership campaign. We stand at a precipice, eh?

        1. NO MORE FROG SHIT or East Coast Welfare Bums. Atlantic Canada, Quebec and southern Ontario can Fuck Off

          1. Ray I have only supported Separatist Parties in Alberta since the late 80’s. I did try changing the PC’s, and Wildrose. Never voted Kenney never will. I had some hope for him for about 3-2-1 minutes. And I stand by F*ck all of eastern Canada. FOAD welfare bums and thieves. They are Thieves because they knowingly take from Albertan Families and do not care. Lousy 2 bit THIEVES. Not even man enough to come and steal in person but use a crooked election system to steal for them, with the full knowledge that it is theft……

        2. That would be like jumping from a puddle into a lake.
One suspects there are few and none that would support Charest.
He may have been something years ago.
The collateral damage is that he is in fact a Liberal.

        3. Charest, nothing like a dinosaur retread from Quebec to choose from, FFS.

Are they that stupid? Is the Pope Communist?

  14. I’m not renewing my membership and won’t donate again until they clean this cluster up. Meanwhile look forward to 10 years of Trudeau.

  15. Rumors in the party suggest a 250k entrance fee to get into the CPC leadership race. Up from 100k last time out.

Scheer got railroaded out. An inside job with the help of Global’s Mercedes Stephenson. She started the rumor that Scheer inappropriately paid for his kids private school fees with party money.
Total bullshit that she floated and was either willing to spread or was too lazy or incompetent to investigate.

I have no skin in this game but what she did is unconscionable and demonstrates the depth of depravity in the Ottawa media. They serve only one master- the libranos.

    1. what he did is unconscionable and demonstrates the depth of depravity of Scheer towards Cooper

      Free Speech

      David Menzies
      Mission Specialist

      https://www.therebel.media/maxime-bernier-interview-free-speech-section-13-andrew-scheer-conservatives

Those who continue to support the bought and paid for Globalist Elitist CPC are either morrons or completely fn stupid…

      PPC or Wexit

No more screwing around with the corrupt LibCons

You need your eggs in more than one basket people…

    2. That wasn’t a rumor, that was confirmed by Past Party President and current Senator Don Plett.

  16. I know this is not relevant, but that woman on the CBC needs to cut her hair or tie it back. She looks very unprofessional. I am increasingly annoyed by the “‘professional” women with flowing locks. It is not a good look, and I think that on a subconscious level people do not take them seriously. Chrysta Freeland is another one. If women are serious about gaining political power, they need to abandon the bedroom hair look.

  17. The convention is November. Cbc got it wrong. The leadership will finish up likely in late June.

  18. There has to be a grassroots movement to get Scheer out as CPC leader early, much earlier than November 20, 2020. This is getting ridiculous.

  19. Wee, sleekit timrous beasties…..

Mice. Stupid, shivering, shitting mice. The lot of them. It’s what the CPC has become.

  20. Who really runs the CPC? I’ve been a conservative for over 50 years. I was part of the movement that became Reform after Mulroney butchered 2 massive majorities. IMHO the CPC is so heavily infiltrated by progressives that they no longer represent me.

But seriously you do have to question who runs the CPC? They have never been able to craft a strategy that counters the left wing press in this country. Never been able to communicate a conservative philosophy. Quite frankly, never been able to run the mechanics of a party that has any kind of grass roots. They take great pride in their ability to raise money. This strength was derived from the Reform group. The CPC simply took that over but it is dying.

In the last election I was out front with our CPC candidate, who I donated to, but told that this was the last time I would vote CPC. He was elected. I told him I was supporting him because I thought him smart enough and independent enough to eventually support a Wexit movement.

Every progressive conservative is being promoted by the left wing press. Charest of all people? Rona Ambrose and Peter MacKay?? I will give Bernier some credit in that the PPC is grassroots and did a credible job in our riding. That does not change the fact that I will never support another Quebecer again. Nothing particular against Quebec but an easterner none the less.

If Westerners had half the wherewithal that Quebec has shown since Levesque we would be far further ahead. Quebec has shown a steadfast approach towards Canada no matter the political stripe. The West doesn’t have that yet.

  21. The way it looks today, there is no leadership quality as it concerns actual conservative.
There are no orators that can catch the imagination of the populace.

In the US, Trump is a talker and shit disturber, as is the prosaic definition. Trump is no orator, he can talk bullshit all night long and you can watch the media cartel hang onto his every syllable.
It’s really mind boggling the way the “journalists and commentators” twists themselves into pretzels to spin and spin into pure fantasies of what Trump meant. Apparently they are proud of themselves repeating one after another the same words into frenzy. They of course have the big giant head central that they go to pick the talking points so they don’t deviate from the doctrine.
The stupidity is something to behold.

In this country there is no such talker, the media cartel basically pick on the big giant head and repeat for the local consumption.

Notice Pierre Poilievre, many times when he gets up in parliament, he speaks well, in so far as one can tell. Need more meat on what he is made of.

Then there are few ladies that could catch the imagination of people. The problem is that not one will get out from under the global warming doctrine.

Seems every politician has to pay lip to that tale. None will just not say anything about it.

If you think about it, if Scheer refused to reply to the question about abortion, he may have done better simply because there was no good answer.

Some politicians can and will say to some questions, ”it’s a stupid question”, or variation thereof, of course they have to have the weight of an argument.

So unless someone with brain to think and mouth to talk shows up, conservatives will have to be spectators.

  22. What is the reasoning behind this other than a way for the Conservative Liberal Party to help the Trudeau Liberal Party??
Both are wings of the Laurention Elite Liberal Party.

  23. The long delay looks like the same garbage that we saw after Harper. Once again the brain trust at conservative HQ is delaying the new leader’s debut to the Canadian public.
What the hell are they so fearful about? Are they afraid the new leader may espouse an unacceptable conservative principle or something?

  24. Well, the existence of scheer-the-steer and the rest of his CPC sheep are just symptoms of the real problem: good and decent people in the grassroots who lack the guts to be the kind of change they want to see.

  25. None of the oft mentioned potential leadership candidates arouse even a flicker of interest in me. Been there, done that. It’s time for some new thinking and a robust platform of freedom, strength and prosperity.

I want someone from outside of the political mainstream who has significant real world life experience. One declared candidate, Bryon Brullotte, seems initially to fit the bill. I’ve only seen one article about him, but that at least looked promising – RMC grad, several other degrees, former infantry officer, successful businessman.

  26. Forget Saskatchewan already! Krist, why do you think they only bury farmers 1 foot (300mm ) deep? So they can still get GD their HAND OUTS Saskatchewan is totally infested with Commies. How many crown corps do they have and how many has the Sask party gotten rid of so far? Right! NONE! Let them join, but on our terms.
We cannot afford to incorporate their viruses into a credible exit plan

      1. What about ATB?? Based in Alberta! For Albertan’s! Loaning money to support Alberta efforts!
The international unions in Saskatchewan send their dues where?

        1. Government owned bank. If that is not socialist than what is? Their CEO was a socialist/globalist nutter. They should be IPO’ed ASAP. Limit opportunity to Alberta residents.
