  1. Greta Thunberg is “person of the year” — but either way you look at it, she doesn’t stand a chance of repeating in 2032.

  2. And now today’s episode of our tax dollars at work. Blackie’s environment minister and whack job Elizabeth May took time off from wining and dining at the Madrid conference, to rant how awful whiny indian protestors were being treated at the conference. I wonder who paid for the indian protestors to be there? And in today’s episode of Canadians are racist bastards on Blackie’s CBC, the usual rant that the NHL is full of racist bastards and a heart breaking story of Transport Canada employee who noticed an email ten years ago that made fun of people with turbins on flights. Meanwhile Blackie’s Toronto Star among its Ford is Hitler stories celebrates the first all Chinese language development sign.

    1. OJ, it has come to my attention, through personal thought processes, that there cannot be any such thing as diversity of any sort without us evil white people.

  3. When I Suck You Better Blow.
“The unions say the bill, which caps all public sector salary increases at one per cent per year for the next three years, violates their charter rights.” From CP.
The four Ontario teacher’s unions are going to make a joint announcement this am. I’m guessing that its something approaching collective extortion, using the kid’s as THE chip.

    1. Persecuted teacher unions have made it quite clear, that all Ford has to do, is agree to all their demands and they will return to the bargaining table. Meanwhile Blackie’s media is excited about the new poll on the popularity of premiers. According to Blackie’s media, nobody in Alberta likes Jason Kenney, Ford is the least popular premier, and everyone loves the Quebec premier. Please remember that Toronto and Quebec knows what is best for Canada, and everyone wants everything to be free.

    2. Buddy, we might as well close the schools and let the little beggars get on with joining the welfare state. The do not need an education, just line up at the trough for their free stuff. The country has more takers than makers, I am sure this will continue until the earth no longer revolves around the sun, or until the makers stop functioning and join the line to the trough.

  4. Oh Noooo! Post Millennial reports that Trump called Great Leader Blackie a total baby, such a child, and no smarts.

  5. Canadian Council for Firearms Rights describes Bill Blair’s use of the term “OIC” or Order in Council. And how that relates to Canadians gun rights and property rights (or lack thereof).

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8nR72APK0g

CCFRs claim that pursuing legal claims or court challenges may not be available because of the Order in Council.
The currently non-restricted firearms would be deemed prohibited and the gun owner wouldn’t be able to transport that firearm!!!
I am wondering if the provinces (namely Saskatchewan and Alberta) would use the Not-Withstanding clause for Bill C-71.
This would take away the power the Libranos have for overriding the firearms classification from the RCMP.

    1. One thing that maybe a provincial government could do would be to declare all privately owned farms to be gun ranges for the purpose of carrying firearms. Then I could strap a pistol on my hip when I go into the back 40. I have bears, cougars, wolves, and coyotes wandering through that I am not particularly fond of. I shoot my long guns into a hill so why not my pistols.

      1. Restricted firearms can’t be legally transported to anywhere without an Authorization To Transport issued by the relevant Chief Firearms Officer (CFO.) The CFOs have jurisdictions that correspond to the provinces and territories, but even in those that appoint a CFO rather than leaving it up to the federal government, the CFO doesn’t have authority to do what the Firearms act doesn’t allow. They only issue ATTs to ranges that are Approved Ranges designated by the CFO office. A provincial/territorial government can say anything it likes about any place, but if a CFO doesn’t designate that place as an Approved Range the ATTs issued aren’t valid for transporting a restricted firearm to that place. Whether you fire the thing or not, if you take your pistol out of your dwelling onto your own land you’ll be committing an offense because you won’t have an ATT that covers that.

The Firearms Act is criminal law, and criminal law is exclusively federal jurisdiction. Check with a lawyers specializing in constitutional law, but I think the provinces cannot do anything about the law, but Saskatchewan at least did instruct its provincial prosecutors to not prosecute any offenses under the long gun registry when it existed, but to refer the work to the local office of federal prosecutors.

  7. I dont care one way or another if Scheer is gone. Leaving disgraced? Say it isn’t so.

My old Dad used to tell me, ” it doesn’t matter if your man of the year every year. If you caught stealing your forever known as a thief”.

  8. Scheer gone? Okay. What a fool to be caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Good news: he’s gone – so that clears the decks,

Time for the deplorables to find among their own a populist leader who can win.

    ————-
    Fantasy cage match:

Jason Kenney resigns as AB Premier to run for federal Conservative leadership.

    Jason wins by near acclamation.

Minority government quickly falls shortly after Jason become Conservative leader.

    Jason nukes Trudeau.

    BOOM.

        1. I’ve said a dozen times Max blew it. He should have stayed in the Conservative Party. He’d still be in Parliament. He’d be in an excellent position to win the leadership.

If you don’t get elected… you’ll get zero chances to get your policies implemented.

Many conservatives seem to say if I can’t get everything I want, not only will I settle for nothing I want, I’ll get everything I don’t want. For example Albertans couldn’t agree on Conservatives vs Wildrose and they ended up with Notley.

But I’m happy to see Scheer go.

        2. Max was forced out, no conservative thinking allowed in the CPC.

          Only the name is conservative

          LibCons same old same old

    1. Facebook chatter seems to be leaning to Peter MacKay, though it’s only been 20 minutes so far… a couple of comments of Jason Kenney resigns and moves back to the federal scene.

Whatever the consequences of this, the Liberals hold the keys to Alberta-Sask.’s future for the next 4 years.
I expect no improvement within Confederation until the split is on the books.

      1. MacKay would be a mistake, just a Maritime Red Tory, it wouldn’t be a changing of the guard, rather, the Nova Scotia Scheer.

Kenney brings far more chutzpah and would be a YUGE problem for TruDOPE.

Don’t see anyone else with the persona or gravitas to run with this, maybe Brad Wall, but not much else.

        1. Kenney’s in something of a bind now. If he jumps, he’s basically sold Alberta out, couldn’t even finish a single elected term before bailing on them. If he doesn’t jump now, the next CPC leader gets 2+ years to lead (more if elected PM) and Kenney accumulates more & more baggage as a sitting premier (new approval numbers today show he’s bleeding BADLY), meaning his appeal, such as it is, gets weaker and weaker.

I also fear Kenney’s appeal will stop at the Ontario border. Ontario voters who largely despise Doug Ford at this point (28% approval!) will see Kenney as a Ford clone and continue to vote Trudeau solely to keep Kenney out of 24 Sussex.

The next CPC leader simply MUST perform better in Ontario & Quebec. Scheer ran the table in AB & SK and lost anyway. There’s no growth to be had by doubling down and insisting that the policies AB & SK want are what Canada must have. ON & PQ will simply say, “LOL No” and keep voting Liberal.

I have no solution for this. I think the country is approaching a point where the rift between AB/SK and ON/PQ will be irreconcilable. It would take someone of Harper’s skills & gravitas to even attempt to mend it, but he’s not available, would lose if he ran, and nobody but NOBODY on the CPC benches looks like they’re up to it. To win the next election, the party may have to just hold its nose and let a MacKay type lead. Someone who won’t be immediately rejected by the centre as an angry westerner. Whether such an election win leads to anything worthwhile.. I doubt it. I don’t think the country survives this century united.

          1. Colin Powell, the former U.S. Secretary of State under President George W. Bush, confirmed Tuesday that hacked emails from his personal account were indeed genuine. U.S. media focused their coverage on Powell’s marked disdain for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. In one email, Powell even called Trump an “international pariah.”

But for Canadians, there’s another compelling tidbit in the emails. Specifically, in this July, 2016 email that Powell addressed to former Canadian attorney general Peter MacKay:

Peter, I am back from the Bohemian Grove. Surprise, surprise, I sat next to Stephen Harper a couple of times and had a nice discussion. Grove attendees know that Trump is a disaster. Most will vote against, but quite a few will not vote for Hillary and will vote for a third party candidate. Strange doings down here. Otherwise all is well with the Powells. We’ll sneak away for a few days in August. Of course I’d love to see you. Let me know your dates. I told Stephen that you seemed quite content in your new place in life.

Canada’s ex prime minister, it seems, spent the summer at Bohemian Grove. Here, the National Post’s Tristin Hopper attempts to explain what Canada’s former Conservative leader was doing at one of the United State’s most mysterious political gathering places.

            https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/stephen-harper-at-bohemian-grove-hacked-email-says-ex-leader-visited-shadowy-gop-summer-camp

          2. Gee you CPC supporters really like holding your noses rather than voting for your conservative principles.

Then you wonder why you never win?

  9. Now that Scheer is gone Blackie’s media and Conservative lites will insist that he be replaced with a woman who walks in homosexual parades, believes in global warming scams, and increased abortion services. Meanwhile Blackie solidifies his role as dictator. His trained seals better known as MPs voted to not allow themselves to have the right to remove Groper, and will leave it up to the prime minister’s office to decide who is allowed in caucus depending on how MPs behave.

  10. I see Kenney Salivating….right about ..now..!!

As for Brad…?? Nice guy but no Chutzpah whatsoever.

    1. I am pretty sure Kenny is not interested at this point. He has a job and would not likely get the nomination, anyway. There will be a draft Peter McKay initiative.

  11. Media should be pleased. They are the ones who wanted him gone. Like Harper, I feel he was treated very shabbily by the press. Inexcusable really. Do not expect any replacement to be treated any better.

  12. I bet you now Scheer will wipe that silly grin off his face including the milk ‘stashe.

Will the new Conservative Leader be John Baird, Peter Mackay, Michelle Rempel, or will they bring back Max Bernier and dissolve Max’s party with a big apology and a big French kiss?

Any predictions who the new Leader of the Conservatives will be?

(Hmm, wonder what Trudeau is thinking right now?)
(“Suffie, my lil wifie, maybe I should go now too? I lost my majority”)

  13. Ahh, poor little Weak Andy 2%

Good riddance. Maybe now some of the CINOs on here will realize what an unmitigated disaster that
milk swilling marshmallow was from beginning to end.

Now, will the CPC HQ “braindead” trust pick a real conservative this time or just another bedwetter that’ll
prance in the “correct” parades this time and try again to out Libturd the Libturds.

    1. “Candidates and former Conservative aides blamed their defeat on Mr. Scheer’s views on abortion and LGBTQ rights; social conservative groups accused him of not going far enough to champion those beliefs; and Quebec candidates and organizers said he had lost the moral authority to lead.”(my emphasis)
      https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-andrew-scheer-resignation-conservative-leadership-race-explainer/

All this B.S. in comments above are about fantasy crap like milk and thievery?! Good grief.
The real problem is that the true conservative message cannot get from the party leader to the people.

      1. The MSM can spin all they want as to why Scheer quit. One can expect their opinions to have a Liberal slant, after all.

Mr Scheer is entitled to his personal views and those views are wholly his. Just because Liberals deem it necessary to delve into “the bedrooms of the Nation” doesn’t mean Her Majesty’s Leader of the Loyal Opposition has to.

As far as one can see Conservatives do believe in legal civil unions between same gender people but they may not necessarily want to interfere with Webster’s original definition of ‘marriage’ ie: the legal union between men and women. The latter is another kettle of fish.

Secondly, a person with freedom should have the right to choose which ‘Parades’ he or she may want to attend, especially one with 5 small children who may have previous commitments to family activities. Personal opinions about aforementioned parade ‘types’ is totally irrelevant.

      2. Ah, no.

The real problem is they need a real leader. Now they have that chance.
