    Meeting # 258 of the AGENDA 2030 (WWYAD), (we want you all dead), Group to de-populate & de-industrialize the planet in their pursuit of “sustainability” for selected Elites.

    Local governments badly want that gambit to succeed, in order to make some quick money, at everyone’s else’s expense, to fund their pet projects.

    Local governments, largely run now by activists and socialists, have no fundamental understanding of finance or business. One basic fact of accounting, no matter how it is spun by crazed socialists, remains thus:

    Businesses/Corporations don’t pay taxes, their customers do. Those “costs” get passed on to the customer, as just another expense.

    Here’s to more failed lawsuits by our local BC governments, silly fools, all of them. They are good at losing, and wasting taxpayers money!

    1. win or loose we pay anyway. It would be nice if these stupid lawsuit were filed by a person against a person and left to a jury not some crook of a judge and the looser personally paid the total bill. Maybe then we would have a justice system instead of a legal industry.

  5. ExxonMobil was actually doing some risk management, with US$80 a ton representing a worst-case scenario that would help manage investors’ expectations of future dividends and stock prices.

    Internally, the firm fully expected the prompt removal of any government (either a totalitarian or a bogus western democracy) daft enough to impose carbon taxes at that level, and assumed for planning purposes that effective taxes would be nil or only a fraction of US$80 a ton. Even the federal Libranos have no current plans for carbon taxes above C$50 a ton. China? Chairman Xi is evil. He’s not stupid.

        Seinfeld was one of the greatest comedies ever. It was like the Jewish theatre of yesteryear, about one neurotic zany gal and 3 neurotic guys and their neurotic lives.
