  1. Why the surprise? This is exactly how every “non-profit” enterprise is operated. ALL the profits go into the pockets of the “oh so noble” staff of the “non-profit”. ALL of it. The top tier of the “non-profits” TAKE all the $$$ and stuff it into THEIR own pockets.

    1. Reminds me of how political contributions are laundered as well:

      – someone donates $1 million to a political cause (and gets a tax credit)
      – someone takes that $1 million, grifts say 10% on the side for “consulting”, then sets up a political group
      – that same someone takes the remaining $900,000, grifts 10%, etc.
      – so on and so on…
      – political cause spends the remaining $10,000 on political ads on a platform owned by the someone

      1. Ah … so THATS why SHE needed $1B for HER failed 2016 campaign. And why Bloomberg promises to spend $2.5B!!!! A lot of cuts to take.

        1. kenji, allow me to respectfully suggest a grammatical adjustment:
          . . . a lot of TAKE to CUT.
(at least the kiddies learn a weeeeee bit about mathematical iterations . . . . .)

is bloomberg the comic relief candidate?

    2. Feminists complain about the corporate glass ceiling, but the fact of the matter is that women occupy 60% of executive positions . . . in non-profits.

If I didn’t know any better I’d think that the real “sexism” issue is that, as a group, women would rather spend other people’s money than be responsible for making it.

      1. Geezz…….even the single women in the charity industry want to act like someone’s wife.

  2. “Wonder how @GretaThunberg,
@SpeakerPelosi or @LeoDiCaprio feel about this.”

Well, it’s not their money, so why should they care?

Leo, for one, spends his own money on stuff he knows will make a difference.

According to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, that includes paying arsonists to set forest fires in the Amazon to embarrass President Bolsonaro, who, as of December 2019, is the Latin American boogeyman the globalists most prefer to use to keep Maduro off the front page.

(President Bolsonaro’s unapologetic anti-communist and pro-development stance was never going to make him the western elite’s favourite character.)

  3. “Wonder how @GretaThunberg,
@SpeakerPelosi or @LeoDiCaprio feel about this.”

Green with envy, I would imagine…

  4. Wow.
Years ago someone made a statement in my presence about waste in the Alberta Health system. “Out of every additional dollar put into the system, 5 cents makes it all the way to patient care.” 5%.
The UN are way better grifters than we Albertans. They kept the outflow to their clients down to 2%.

    1. About 15 or 20 years ago some Alberta premier was going to eliminate hospital wait times and increased hospital budgets 13%. Wait times went up. Wait times are planned and managed to exert pressure for government funding. There is no valid reason anyone has to wait 6 hours in emergency. The reason you wait 6 hours when deathly ill is to piss you off so you vote for Rachel Notley.

      1. Bingo. Whenever there’s cuts to government spending the bureaucrats apply the pain to the people…the people that pay their wages. They dont cut fancy meetings in banff or flights to do nothing conferences.

  5. Wonder what Canadian taxpayers hand over to the UN and all its octopus branches. All in including NGO’s etc. Because we pay that as well.

  6. I’m really blown away by how stingy they were with supplies, commodities and materials.

  7. Before this made much sense, you would need to know what percentage of that staff was helping people, and what percentage was head office just keeping the thing running (however inefficiently). Without those stats, the breakdown tells you very little actually.

    1. The one thing it clearly shows, is that Liberals are very good at looking after their friends. For the next trick…find out who is receiving their salaries, and see what political affiliation they are. I’m sure we all know already.

Same goes for the “contracted services”…we saw how lucrative that can be during ADSCAM.

  8. I know a small number of people very well who have worked for ‘non-profit’ charities, NGOs, and in University upper level administration. It’s not only the giant salary, it’s the staggering perks. If one wanted to travel anywhere in the world, she would just find a Conference in the region and go with most first class expenses paid. Want to outsource your University Data Center and take away jobs from Albertans? No problem. Plus you and the other poobah get the luxury trip to India to make sure things are running smoothly. When it comes to staffing your non-profit organization, your family and friends get some well paying jobs. You get to meet and greet the movers and shakers who will be passing around jobs sometime in the future. Need to brush up on the French you’ll never use? Some nice towns in the South of France provide lovely French immersion classes for a few weeks in the summer. The salary is just the opening bid.

    1. There is no such thing as a non-profit. As soon as a salary or wage is paid that is profit for someone.

  9. It reminds me of how things are run out of Ottawa. I”ve seen it many a time. The vast majority of the money raised for “charity” or other good causes…….always seems to end up in the pockets of those who decided to start the charity, or do the “good cause”

They are the main beneficiaries………and they are exclusively “progressive” or Liberal in their leaning. Must be a coincidence.
It’s like the Ottawa “good deed” clique. |
“I’ll trade you an Order of Canada, for the Heritage Arts award” Or, I’ll appoint you to the head of this “arts council” and in exchange, you recommend me to the French Embassy as undersecretary of Quebec in charge of spending money we took from Alberta…etc…etc..

Ottawa….it’s just one big CIRCLE JERK for Liberals and their cronies.
