Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Given that the CBC is, along with its private sector clones, CTV, Global, Star, and Globe and Mail, essentially that part of the institutional left that masquerades as media, it’s interesting that it takes the lede in complaining about the slant of an alternative organization which is entirely funded voluntarily by its readers. Given that the left is premised on coercion, one shouldn’t be surprised. I suppose the resentment inherent in the article represents those that bemoan the situation where at least half the nation refuses to “buy” what the CBC is selling even when they are forced to pay for it.
It is hard work shining up a stack of shit all day. It is going to take all of that Billion dollars to pay for all these turd polishers.
I read the CBC drivel on the Post Millennial yesterday, and I am surprised that CBC News would go through with the self-serving hit piece. There are lots of politically-moderate Canadians out there — not in tune with the conservative blogosphere but alienated with CBC-Trudeau PC propaganda– who had never heard of the Post-M, but now will Google the upstart web page for a look. This CBC hit piece is a win-win for the Post-M and for conservative media in general.
Three or four years ago the CBC hired the web page editor from a left-wing Internet news agency (the names of both escape me), and the CBC web page since then took an even stronger tilt leftward, into a more activist left-wing approach. (Such as this anti-Post-M hit piece for example). Interestingly during the past three years or so corporate biggies at the left-wing Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail — like the CBC heavily involved in propping up Trudeau’s Liberal government — have complained about the ever-expanding CBC News web-page cutting into their respective readership counts (and corporate revenues). A cat-fight amongst Liberal media cartel giants — something we just shrug our shoulders about. I mean, why should Liberal types pay for the Star or the Globe and Mail when they can read Liberal propaganda on the CBC for free?
The anti-Post-M hit-piece may mean the pro-Liberal media cartel may be running scared before the coming election. I hope so. I still predict a Liberal-Green-NDP coalition, but corporate media biggies are worried.
If that coalition is the winner in the election Canada is finished. The west will remove itself from this cabal and go it alone for it’s own benefit.
I agree but am not into western self-determination as a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Separation if necessary, but not necessarily.
Come now…The CBC follows the USA lead and we now have a post-birth Abortion right to rid ourselves of Trans freaks… Who would have thought that an missed abortion could be corrected at any time…..delusional tripe
We have insane folks on full display.. and they don’t see themselves!
I wonder if Trudeau’s CBC will apologize for their favourite panelist Big Chief Pam stating a number of times last night, that Canada has no right to trash China for human rights abuses when Canada committed genocide.
John, as someone who never watches the CBC National, who is Big Chief Pam?
Big Chief Pam is a favourite guest on the CBC, along with a number of other media outlets. She also writes for Maclean’s magazine. She is in charge of the indian governance program at Ryerson University in Toronto. Whenever Canadian media needs a lunatic indian to discuss whiny indian issues, she is there. She and Michael Coren are staples on CBC’s panel discussions in the evening.
Thanks for this.
New tag line.
Still not learning the lesson of 2016
Trump won, not because of what was promised but because there are enough voters tired of being lectured to about whats good for them but never seeing any benefits. Trump visibly outrages the folks that have been lecturing the great unwashed about how deplorable they are and they’ve been in a state of howling insanity even before he took office.
The great unwashed decided they needed someone in Washington that was going to make life difficult for the establishment for a change.
The establishment parties and media seem to be on the side of the lecture circuit telling folks whats good for them. A good example is when they keep telling you what makes us Canadian but not one of them has ever asked an actual Canadian outside of that Ottawa bubble. As the tag line at this site attests about yelling at the radio.
Its a very easy means test to find the dividing line. Just ask yourself the question when you see articles such as the one above, “how exactly is this working on my behalf?”
If its not for you the writer is advocating for, then they are working against you and yours.
Want to change this?
Then there needs to be someone in Ottawa that will make the life of official Ottawa difficult.
Is that an elected representative?
Not necessarily.
Just someone or something that upsets their apple cart instead of ours.
In spite of their irresponsible government model Canadians still managed to forge ahead.
Now the Grits want to take credit for our hard work, that we must vote for them, because they’re not pamphleteering.
Nobody does, that’s something that was done two hundred years ago; then again we are talking about the CBC.
All the whole deep state elitist racket has to do is keep the 905 belt in oblivious ignorance reminding them they are part of government and beholden to it for their standard of living, in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
It’s the safe move they’re told, with no Fox North to say otherwise, or unless they independently research, which they don’t.
It’s actually the most dangerous move that will finally and firmly alienate AB particularly. Yesterday I was speaking with a business guy in AB and he took the time (never met) to ask me if BCers hated Albertans and pipelines.
I assured him our so-called leadership feels that way but are not speaking for the BC people. But that is the illusion of it all.
“Canadian news site The Post Millennial blurs line between journalism and conservative ‘pamphleteering’…”
It is a telling statement of just how lousy the “journalism” at CBC is that the above line was ever written.
I know this is boring stuff for the “woke generation”, but in a democracy the media can write whatever the hell it likes and hold any political view.
(“Journalists” do think so mighty highly of themselves and their “profession”, don’t they?)
“(“Journalists” do think so mighty highly of themselves and their “profession”, don’t they?)”
I think everyone can move on to the obvious.
We know what kind of journalists they are, now we are just trying to establish a price.
Sarc off
I wonder why the reaction of the state broadcaster and the only reason is that they see the Post Millenial as an existential threat.
The Presstitute Media wants The Post Millennial shutdown.
They made their corrupt case and watch the totalitarian government of ours shut them down
This morning Trudeau’s CBC continues its coverage that Nazis are running rampant in Canada. And the CBC is upset at how the Chinese president is treating Little Potatoe at the G20 summit. Heart breaking pictures of the president scowling at Justin sitting at the table, and no interaction between the two.
CBC News, in its hit piece against the Post M, features Professor Alan Conter attacking the Post M as well. The posted article mentions that the good prof was at one time an employee of the CBC, but that the hit piece refused to mention that fact.
I checked with Elections Canada, and records show that he has donated thousands of dollars to the federal Liberal party.
Sorry: the second sentence is off. The first part of it should read “The posted article doesn’t mention that the good prof was at one time an employee of the CBC…”.
“Tory MP Kevin Waugh, who sits on the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, also gave a speech in support of the CBC on February 17, and voted “no” on Wednesday evening.
“As an almost 40-year veteran of CTV, it may seem a little peculiar, I am sure, that I would rise today to plead the merits of keeping the CBC as a Crown corporation, but I am here to do it,” Waugh said in February. “Privatization of the CBC, as we all know, could save the federal government well over $1 billion, $1.2 billion and more.
“However, let us ask this question before we talk about the money: What would we lose? We would most certainly lose local broadcast news in many remote regions of this country, plus in minority language communities.” ”

Do these bozos even understand that CBC hates them?

Not to worry… Whenever I need a news source that totally obliterates the line between journalism and flapdoodle, I can always listen to the CBC.
Thanks, Justin and CBC! I read a lot of independent and conservative-inclined blogs, but I wouldn’t have known about the Post Millenial without your efforts to limit us to PravdaCanada and the kerfuffle this is dusting up. I’ve taken a look at it and I like what I see. I’ll be checking it regularly as sources of information in this country dry up. Thanks awfully. See you in October, Justin. Hopefully not for long…
You can get a subscription to the Post Millennial for only $100/year. A real bargain. I’ve signed on.
Pure projection.
I was astounded that the CBC accepted 35 – thirty-five! – comments on the V/A Norman pay off story. They often have two or three thousand on other stories. Talk about Pravda. So I sent the following to ALL MP’s.
________________________________________
Dear Member of Parliament;
As you work the pre-election barbeque circuit, I want to speak regarding the unbelievable decision regarding Vice Admiral Norman. It’s apparent that silence is golden. I don’t begrudge V-A Norman, he and his family have been put through personal hell.
But at what price? How is non-disclosure for a political payout using our tax dollars conceivable? How is it those responsible, which must include General Vance and Prime Minister Trudeau, can use our money to shut down a matter of great public interest without accepting some responsibility?
Burying this in advance of a general election is banana republic level of crass cynicism. I note too, that the CBC – which often accepts two or three thousand story comments – closed their comment section after just thirty-five comments. Canadians of all stripes are pretty tired of the whole Ottawa political operatives’ cabal working together.
