As you may have deduced, I’m out of wi-fi range and the guest bloggers have been invited to pop by. But if they don’t, well- the interweb’s a big place. So is the rest of the world. Get out and enjoy it. I’ll be back to normal scheduled blogging around the 20th.

I would arrive at his place 4 am. start the crummy, load the saws and fuel etc. and then go in and have a coffee while he got ready. And fill our thermos for the day. Some mornings he would be hung over a mite. His wifes name was Sandy. It was SANDY you lazy bitch at the top of his voice why didn’t you make my lunch. Then the thermonuclear device would go off, the cloud would rise over the homestead and I would ease on out of there to the shop for some peace and quiet. When she would finally start launching cruise missiles it was a scene to behold. Cussing and throwing corked logging boots and anything she could lay a hand too. ha ha ha What you might call a dynamic fluid situation. Such is life. She never whined she just fired up and got in the fight, they seemed happy.

As for the injection site, show me opposition from the Province of Alberta. It might be a federal pen, but it’s still in Alberta.

    4. Georges, federal jails are administered by federal gov’t, (typical for sentences of more than 2 years), provincial jails (typical for sentences of less than 2 years / sometimes referred to as “a deuce less”) are administered by the provinces.

      The federal prison in Alberta cited in the article you’ve posted is administered by the federal gov’t, currently held by the Liberal Party of Canada, and they haven’t anything to do with the Alberta provincial gov’t of Jason Kenney, which appears to be leaning conservative, though I’m not “all in” as they say…
